Hi Wendi, love hearing from you again. I never thought I would be the one liking rose perfumes, but I do. I’m wearing Amouage Lyric (because you mentioned it and I do happen to have a decant). It’s exquisite. I’ve tried Peregrina and Delina - loved them, but they are too expensive. I’m sure there are more.
You're welcome Marion! That particular Le Labo has always intrigued me, it looks so rich and spicy and amazing... that one and The Matcha. Oh if I had an unlimited budget:)
Your top (or dress) is so adorable and fits well with the theme. I don't own any niche scents, and I've used up all my really straight forward rose perfumes, but the orig. Valentino Donna will forever be my go-to rose heavy, and do enjoy my Kelly Caleches. A few others have rose in them, but not really rose heavy.
Yay! I also didn’t buy anything this weekend. I am trying to be good. Love Fille de Berlin. Had a travel size and it’s gone and I miss it. It’s so special, makes me feel like I’m supposed to be at the opera and I don’t even like opera that much 😂. Adore Rose and Roses, too. I’m saving up for Portrait of a Lady. Hopefully next year I can add it to my collection. Love seeing your videos, Wendi! It’s so wonderful to hear someone speaking so passionately about what they own.
No Buy United! WE DID IT:) That said Fille de Berlin is so solid I think you should .., you know ... and Portrait is like the best Rose Patchouli fragrance in existence. I'm glad that you like me talking about what i have, sometimes because everyone else has so much new stuff all the time (probably PR) I feel like no one will want to hear about older bottles. So that is encouraging. Thank you for the note.
@ for me, personally, watching influencer videos is entertaining but also overwhelming because I know I’ll most likely never try or buy anything they’re selling because I do know I’m watching a sales video 😂. Kinda like being at those old Tupperware parties your neighbour would throw and you’d go just for the refreshments and change of pace but didn’t actually buy anything 😉. I was always dragged to those as a kid with my mom and her friends. Because you do have such an extensive collection and an organic relationship to perfume, whether you call it a passion, addiction, or hobby, your videos don’t feel like a sales pitch at all. Rather, it’s like getting an inside look into a private collectors beloved bottles, which is so much more interesting to me. You cover things I am curious about and no one else is talking about. I originally found your channel because I was searching for reviews on Annick Goutal’s Songe EDT and even though your video didn’t come up right away, a few days later it showed up in my feed. That’s when I binged all your other videos and ended up subscribing ❤️.
I love La Fille de Berlin, too, although I pick up on a distinct blood note. Weirdly, I don't hate it at all, though I would in any other context probably. Your shirt suits you to perfection, too.
Hi Rene. I do understand the "blood" note in the La Fille, it does wear metallic at times, but I like that part too. And OH NAHEMA is just a gorgeous stunner. I should have pulled that one out too but I almost consider it a fruity floral with the passionfruit note in it. I'm almost curious to see what they've done with it, I have an older refill and a bee bottle. I'm so glad Guerlain kept that one around as it is one of the best perfumes ... of any category really. And thanks for the compliment:) I hope you are well.
La Fille de Berlin really is an astonishing perfume if you like slightly offbeat Rose fragrances. I think you should get a decant and see what you think, especially if you enjoy the full lushness of Sa Majeste. And Lyric is to die for ... right up there with the La Fille really. I hope you had a great weekend DD!
I didn't think I liked rose perfumes that much as a main note, but low and behold I have quite a few now. I also have Nirvana Rose and it' seemed so odd to me at first but I like it. I also LOVE Amouage Lyric! I only have a 5ml decant for now. I like Rose 31, Barrakat Satin Oud (an excellent dupe of guess what, lol), Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose and I had a sample of Black Jade and want that one too. I just tried the new Lancome Absolue le Parfum and really, really am thinking about that one though it is not at all what I normally go for. I love your selections as they are not the usual ones you see all the time:o). oJulia
Hey Julia! I had the SAME reaction initially to Nirvana Rose. It was a bit too spiky or something, then something clicked and now it's one of my favorites. I'm so happy to see the love for Amouage Lyric, it's getting old now and lost in the shuffle. It is such a classic ... and it's so strong that 5 mls should last a bit for you anyway. Everyone keeps mentioning Rose 31 I really think I need to find a decant this year, normally I'm not interested in Le Labo but that one keeps popping up. That Lancome line looks interesting but jeez the PRICE and there are so many bottles it's almost overwhelming. Thanks for the note it's always nice to hear from you.
Hi Wendy, have you tried the new Rose perfume by Serge Lutens called La Fille tour de fer? I have a feeling this may become your new favorite. It’s gorgeous, similar to La Fille de Berlin but more Irisy powdery, earthy violet and rose
Hi Darlene, I might have to look into the Keiko Mecheri as I do have their Rose Attar and that one is gorgeous as well. I'll put it on my list, Divine is such an overlooked house and they make such quality perfumes. Thanks for the note!
Enjoyed your rose list. My Favorite Rose fragrance is Rose De Mai By Perris Monte Carlo (its as close to a photo realistic dewy rose that I've come across) I also enjoy Evelyn Rose Femme de Force by Crabtree and Evelyn (which is sadly discontinued it manages to be spicy woody and fresh and a touch jammy at the same time which is lovely), Richwood By Xerjoff is a nice Rose Patchouli sandalwood scent. side note i recently tried a perfume called Love Kills by Masque Milano and it is such a unique rose I wouldn't recommend buying this one but it was a fascinating one to sample it smells dominantly of Taif rose that manages to smell natural and super synthetic at the same time like in an intentional way it smells like if roses went extinct in the future and future humans where trying to recreate the scent from a description of how a rose is supposed to smell. very perplexing to my nose lol
Hi Finn thanks for the dangerous list of rose perfumes ... I'm a sucker for the "photorealistic" kind, even if it's redundant I can't get enough of that profile. I've always wanted to try Richwood ... but ... oh so $$$. The MM sounds fascinating. I think I might have to try to hunt that down. I like the oddball ones too. Thank you for sharing:)
I live Lyric Woman. I love roses Patchouli and Fresh Roses Kiehl's, Red roses Jo Malone, Mariya Omanluxury, Lettre de Pushkar, Nüaw ( My lord ❤),Rose flash Andy Tower, Rose Natirelle Chole, Hose of sillage Chevaux de o'R, Rose de thaif extrail Perris Monte Carlo, L'autre Oud Lancom, Musk Oud Kilian, Roses de Arabi, pivoine Suzhou, Pure Musc M.Micallef,Sherzo Milla Harris this are the ones that have a roses that I can smell very prominent. I have others that I love and they say they have a prominent roses but I can not detect them like Delina, Delia Exclusif, Peregrina, Possibilities, Gris Dior
Oh my GOSH what a LIST. I would die to try the Lettre de Pushkar but it's so pricey ... might have to save my quarters for that one. You are the second person to mention the Perris Monte Carlo ... oh so many bottles and so little space and time lol. The Nuaw I'm looking up right now. Thank you for the note Margarita:)
@wendisparadeofperfumes5034 thank you, I forgot my love Joy Jean Patou that I only can smell roses never jasmin and I have like five difrent bottles. I reaching for Rose sentifolia from Maison Crivelli they say is a unique rose. The one from Perris Monte is like the perfect masculine rose at list for my nose. Lettre de Pushkar is a syrup, Mariya is a rose with caramel and coffee. And Nüaw is nothing that you never smell before but is like a strawberry you taest so many in so many ways but this is the most perfect strawberry 🍓 you ever had. And I have to say that my most complemented is Chevaux from house of sillage. Rose flash is other syrup but with a passion fruit and tobacco that can stay on my skin for 24 hrs
You know I could kick myself for missing out on the original Stella. I have a rollerball of the reformulation but otherwise ... ugh! I guess I can't get them all lol.
I love those Lublin bottles….la fille de Berlin is not for everybody? I have such a skewed perception of what other folks would like. I think of that one as so likable. Shrug shoulders. I am so random with my perfume choices as of late, I’ll have an amber day, then an animalic day, then a violet day. Etc etc. no consistency! And here I was thinking my life was relatively calm. There’s massive unrest at my core apparently! The storm is rising.

I love Le Labo Rose 31, Marni, Miller Harris rose silence and Chloe de roses. Thanks for all the recommendations!

My all-time, ride-or-die rose is Nahéma, but I love so many rose perfumes that it's quite ridiculous. Thanks for adding some to my to-smell list!

Can you believe I’ve never tried Fille de Berlin??!! I know I would love it.
I do own Lutens Sa Majeste la Rose. Amouage Lyric Woman is magical.

Forgot to say, I love your top!
Thank you, honestly it was a lucky impulse buy when I was downtown one day. Saw it in a window and I couldn't resist lol.

@@shirleycantoni3152 That one is 100% on my list for next year. I can't wait.
I like Keiko Mecheri Mogador for a rose perfume and please do review your perfumes from Divine. I have L’Ame Soeur and L’Infante.
Hi Darlene, I might have to look into the Keiko Mecheri as I do have their Rose Attar and that one is gorgeous as well.
