Just opened my first shop I’m 25 years old a lot of what he said was was true … I’d suggest anyone who wants to open a shop to work towards it & buy your stuff before hand little by little it makes the process a lot easier
Just opened a shop, being part of Bossio’s 6FB mentorship definitely prepared us for expenses! Budgeted $80,000 for a 1600 sq ft. unit with 14 stations, cost at the end came out to $95,000 !
@@Bossiocutsyeah 2k deposit, 2k first month. 800 each barber chair , 5 chairs, got the stations on liquidation for about $150 each, worth about $450 retail. The rest went into materials for paint, epoxy, etc.
I cut hair at my place I just made an space where i have my set up, im still working in construction and cut hair on weekends and some haircuts Monday-Friday after work, im good for now but the dream is open a barbershop 💈

20 years ago I did it with no sign less than 5k definitely ran into dam near all the problems you just mentioned. ✌🏾

Opened a shop for 11k . Did all the work myself. Epoxy floors, honeycomb lights. 2 years now. Shop is busy and successful

$75 a sq ft ? That’s 75k a month for 1,000 sq ft. I think you meant $7.50 a sq ft.
Most commercial real estate goes by annual rates… so dividend that 75k by 12.. you’ll get your rent.. don’t forget about cam and tax
