Personally, I have no problem with modifying beater Marx, or Lionel equipment. If the piece is beaten up or busted, why not repaint or kitbash it into something useful - like the Marx/Lionel "Frankenstein" SD7 I bought last year? ua-cam.com/video/rNlCT0Bx_s4/v-deo.html
Thank you for another good video. I like your idea about using a Marx or Lionel tender as an adapter car. I never would have thought of that. I am curious if you sell your plastic 3D printed coupler adapters. I would like to have some of them if you do.
Conversion to Marx knuckle couplers would be rather easy. Conversion to Lionel type knuckle couplers would be more difficult because of the difference in height. Maybe this would help: ua-cam.com/video/DiSlyMhn_Ls/v-deo.html
Every manufacturer of trains in the old days have their own coupler and you had really make it after cars with two different couplers on each end so you can haul different train cars from different companies. NHL trains this brought about the nmra to bring track and coupler standards so everybody could run everything from any manufacturer. The different couplers among different companies is just another reminder of trains at the very beginning of time when nobody thought about you connecting your car to somebody else's especially when every manufacturer seem to have a different track gauge as well.
March May train sets with steam locomotives and tenders that were labeled as Penn Central. You could swap tenders behind any more steam locomotive and be able to haul Lionel cars but you had to haul a short one other than burnt out the motor.
A lot of the marked cars were much better than the '80s Lionel cars. I love listening to a train of 10 cars running around the layout with them singing. Even a dead Mark's engine can be used for scenery purposes.
I am so glad you cover Marx trains. There are guys on U-tube that do mods to Marx trains that really put them over the top too. Just letting you know.

Sorry, I don't sell them. Between my real job and keeping the channel going I don't have the time for another side business.
The sound cut out towards the end there! Was that intentional!? 🤔
I had to remove the sound at the end due to a copyright issue.
Great video
Thanks for watching!
Can I convert my marx tilt couplers to knuckle. Couplers

LOL, it sure sounded like you were saying 'tab n snot' coupler!? 😂
What couplers can I inter change with marx slot and tab couplers
Do you mean replacing the couplers or mating them with others?
The last minutes of the video are muted
Yes, due to a UA-cam copyright claim. :-( It's just the running train, so no information is lost.
What couplers are compatible with marx electric train
