Winter is finally here! Although I'm not excited about that 🥲 In this video I will show you a little bit of regular winter activities - buying mittens, Christmas market, Mulled wine and more! I hope you will enjoy!

Being Canadian I can tell you that a good hat or a "tuque" is the key to a comfortable winter. You've chosen a beautiful one if I may say so myself.

I have visited Russia a half-dozen times, but never Saint Petersburg, and especially in winter, so thank you very much! Also, It's nice to be reminded that Russians can be pleasant, reasonable, and intelligent people.
I think Americans been lied to about Russia forever. Place looks amazing and all the people seem like simple people that mind their own business.
After the last few years, I have come to the conclusion the government has been seriously misleading the public since the 50’s and the lies keep getting bigger to keep covering up their past lies.

Hi Svetlana lovely to see you again, I really enjoy wintertime but I’m from Scotland originally and we always say that there is no such thing as bad weather it’s just that you have inappropriate clothing, but I’m leaving for NewZealand tomorrow for a month and I won’t have to be concerned about that, I really enjoyed your trip to the market in St Petersburg, whenever I’m looking for the best mulled wine we always go to the one with the queue, your friend looks like she enjoyed herself too and you were both so much better than me on ice skates, I hope to see you again before Christmas but if I don’t, please have a fabulous Christmas and joyful New Years 🤶🎅

We had a Russian area manager here in UK she said she was cold because in Moscow everyone has the heating on it's cheaper to heat the house

Hi Svetlana, Glad you updated your cold weather clothing. It's a good idea that the wine drink is non-alcholic: because, alcohol is supposedly the worst thing to drink in cold weather. Very true, those without hats in that cold are nuts! Definitely a summer man here but experience similiar weather from my homestead.
Even thou my area is warmer than normal ; Iowa girls at times will wear shorts in - 15 F or -26 C . I seen it happen many times . Today temp is 42 F or 6 C ; So we are higher than normal . We should be about 10 to 15 F or -12 C to -9C That is normal for me . We had 4 inches of snow but has melted off . Keep warm .

Good thing with youtube is that you can watch videos afterwards. So nice Christmas views in St. Petersburg. Distance 500km from here, I don't know exactly. Visited city 5-6 times long time ago. It's gorgeous place with all those monumental buildings like winter palace, Eremitaz etc

Svetlana: a wonderful skating fun of you two! I'm very glad that you've shown an ordinaty city. No trendy places for the few, but a large housing estates from Soviet times, orginary blocks of flats with all bits and pieces of people's life, regular parks with beautiful snowy cushions, streets of St. Petersburg, underground and bazaars where one can buy almost whatever wishes.
I hear you repeat you hate winter, but you don't sound and look convincing, as you look so convincing in this winter, of -14C.

I will always remember snowy, beautiful (but sometimes treacherous) winters for most of my life. But now, in the winter of my life, I am glad to be at a lower, warmer latitude w/virtually no white stuff. Beautiful video though, as usual!

Wow, that is really cold! But everything is beautiful, the pretty snow and trees and the city streets. And that outfit looks very pretty with you inside. ... And another big wow-- your friend is a beauty queen.
What you have here is Hoare frost. Under the right conditions (cold, high humidity, no wind) this frost builds up. Most of the time it only lasts a day. But once in my life I was in a place where this frost built up over a week of time and it was stunning.

Have Palm Trees outside my Window and Green All Year Round - used to live in Cold Snowy weather where everything looks dead during the Cold Winters - prefer the Warm Weather with some cool days which last for about 6 weeks of the year

I love your content! I live in western Canada on the Prairies, so I'm no stranger to cold winters and long nights. I got a kick out of the penguins your friend and other rookie skaters were using, I've never seen those before. Creative and practical! (Any rink I've been to provided weak skaters with a device that looked like the walkers you see in an old folks home...).

Believe me, the schoolgirls ARE freezing LOL. In my hometown there is a private grils school and private boys school close to each other where they wear uniforms and the girls have the short skirts with NO TIGHTS BARE LEGS in -30 weather it's so stupid.... especially when you can wear cute and colorful wool tights LOL.

Last week we had -37C in Novosibirsk. I went to the store, bought cognac, vodka, dumplings, salmon, fruit and necessarily ice cream 😃
By the way, a family from Australia has been living in Novosibirsk for several years, they have their own UA-cam channel
It's an El niño year which tends to make it colder for northern Europe..... according to our weathermen.
Winter seems colder in Russia than normal so far. Thank god you have heating. Heard about villages where heat, electricity and water supply broke down during extreme cold.
