    I really enjoy your content. Even though your views on game aspects are sometimes different from other content creators, I always find value in your takes on DI. Thank you!

      I'm glad you're enjoying my content! Haha yeah I know some of my views can be almost opposite of some of the more popular youtubers, that's actually what made me decide to start making videos and spread the word!
      And hey, discussions help get us to the correct answer too 😄

    Amazing video. Appreciate the breakdown since most of us are conditioned to go for Life & Damage above everything else

    If for some reason you didnt get your 4 keys the first time, exit using the icon by the minimap before opening the door to the chest room, then run it again.The sanctum suffers from mobs being stuck in or on top of walls, and occasionally it seems these mobs may have been holding a key. If you happen to notice the mob walking on the ceiling, or in the wall, it may be possible to kill them using a lit necro wall or variation there of, after which you will get the key in the mail, if you werent able to retrieve it directly.

      Oh wow, I didn't know that! That makes a lot of sense though, I never understood the rare times I didn't get 4 keys. Buggy blizzard game 😂

    Very helpful, thank you so much! Been trying to spread mine out more evenly. But now knowing I need to focus more on a few should help me a lot!

    One thing I’d add is that, despite the incremental increase in Damage, damage stats should still be prioritised whenever possible, that’s because Damage provides a base for Crit Damage. So +Damage also +Armour Pen by default, since Crit Damage is 200+% of base damage. A high Crit Rate and high Armour Pen with low Damage is still not optimal. However I still see the main points of the video overall. Very informative thanks.
    For me personally I’ll prioritise Damage > Armour Pen > Resistance > Life > Armour > Potency (Monk 1K Res) I’ll spec for Block Chance in place of Armour because Armour increase Block amount so a low Block chance makes Armour useless (in the same way that low crit rate/base damage makes crit damage useless).

    • @kras5785

      You're absolutely right! Armor pen is still definitely my favorite while you're behind in armor pen, but damage overtakes it once you're a 100 or so over. And specifically for PVP, secondary stats hardly matter at all for a F2P / light spender since you'll always be too far behind spenders. But damage and life will always give you something

  • @vJaxz

    Thank you very much for F2P advises where other DI content creators out there are more towards spenders or whales. I guess I focus and prioritise wrongly on my secondary stats 😅

    Resistance and Potency are not just CC, but also damage over time debuffs. Not a fan of praising armor pen with a 9% crit chance on sheet. Crit damage is additive, not multiplicative, meaning it is a 50 % more damage multiplier after the crit multiplier. So, the -50% to +50% crit damage range is actually only a 50% difference, not 100%. That's why damage is king. Damage always works without conditionals like crit. Having 2 banners in rotation for 100 % coverage changes things.
    Your main stat is low. You are a slave to CR.
    Sanctum: You don't get "[X] of each gem". It's 33 % chance for each to drop. If you get unlucky you can end up only getting Beryls. The term 'gem' is reserved for normal gems. You meant to say 'pile' or 'stack', I'm certain.
    There's a chance you might have missed the mob/s that would have dropped the 4th key in your 3-key Sanctum runs. The teleporting ghosts or the small rats that jump on you where you have to move a certain distance or use a dash skill to get them off of you come to mind. Or maybe they spawned outside of terrain inside a wall and you couldn't see/kill them.
    I strongly recommend upgrading your Vessels evenly. Better get a worse bonus now instead of waiting to be able to afford a higher-cost better bonus and delaying your power spikes. Only compare the bonuses if you have a choice between different same-cost upgrades.
    I don't know why you are hung up on percentage value increases. Different stats have different weight with Damage and Life being the most valuable stats. Of course, they give you less of the best.
    As a F2P player, you only wanna sell your normal gems if you need Platinum for the Crest Merchant or want to skip time-gating by purchasing Gem Power or duplicate Legendary Gems. Do not buy skill stones with plat from normal gem sales! You will always be behind on normal gems as a F2P player and should consider using them yourself.

      Most classes / good builds have ways of increasing crit chance and crit chance itself is a priority stat for legendaries, meaning armor pen will come out way higher DPS than other stats in PVE. Of course there's a soft cap once you're a few hundred over the hell difficulty, but majority F2P will be under on secondary stats for most of their play time.
      Red socket slots only get worse with time too, as everybody's character progresses over time and updates add additional ways to increase damage / life, the red sockets provide a small percentage benefit. But yellow / blue sockets will only be more useful in time and at higher ranks they scale much better than reds

    • @LeakyGuy
      @LeakyGuy Рік тому

      @@kras5785 Of course, the game gives you little damage because it's a bigger overall damage increase compared to ArP... unless you have a banner rotation. Critical hit damage is ½ more damage, whereas damage gives you the full 100 % more damage. Critical damage scales off of base damage. It's always better to increase the base damage than adding damage after multipliers. The 6 % increased critical hit damage magic property on gear translates to a 3 % more damage multiplier IF you have a constant 100+ % crit chance. (First you double the base damage, then you add 6 %)

    only problem with this is armor pen (crit) is kind of useless outside of PvE in PvP you will NEVER crit against any whale as their armor will far exceed your armor pen rate, this is why people choose tourmaline for the flat damage also would say that potency is an underrated stat

    • @kras5785
      @kras5785  Рік тому +2

      True, however as f2p against whales that's sadly the case for all stats. Not enough damage to matter, not enough hp to matter, and definitely not enough pen, armor, potency, resistance. I think it's best we just try to prepare for PVE and hope it's enough for any players around our level, and not worry about ever competing with the whales

  • @kevincraig9704

    You forgot about the Resonance effect on damage and life. Your 200 damage would be multiplied by the increase % for resonance.

    • @kras5785
      @kras5785  Рік тому +2

      Resonance only effects the base stats of your legendary slotted items, no other damage or life is amplified by resonance.
      For example, your helmet, shoulders, main hand, and offhand weapon all have a base damage value (not counting any from strength or intelligence) and that is amplified by your resonance percentage.
      However all other sources, such as paragon points, horadric levels, normal gems, etc all gives a flat amount and resonance has no effect on their values.
      I hope that helps! 😁

    I keep picking up green and legendary items that give fortitude and willpower with 1 or 2 uprate arrows but I get rid of them. I am using a wizard. I aim for vitality and intelligence. Am I right to do this?

    • @kras5785
      @kras5785  Рік тому

      Truthfully, it's not too important since most of the time you'll just prefer the item with most combat rating. However, whenever I get 2 items with a similar CR I try to prioritize Fortitude the most for armor pen since intelligence / vitality give only a fraction of your total HP/Damage

    I really hate Tourmaline. It's too low for F2P. I regret upgrading it as a Crusader.

    • @kras5785
      @kras5785  Рік тому

      I feel you! It seemed like the obvious best in the beginning of the game, but as our total damage rose the tourmaline amount is a very small percentage. I still think getting a couple rank 5s will help since you have red sockets you need to use anyway, but definitely low priority once it becomes a slow grind for miniscule increases

    Armor pen, armor, res, potency has diminishing returns. Also, your skill dmgs (green numbers in skill description) are all dmg based. As a matter of fact, Armor Pen is the most irrelevant item in PVE and PVP (unless you're a DH, Monk and Barb).

    • @kras5785
      @kras5785  Рік тому

      Well yeah, if someone has been able to buy enough normal gems or keys to have their secondary stats above the hell level then they don't need to worry about them.
      No f2p player will be above on all secondary stats, maybe not even one if their current level and cr is close to server paragon. So the secondary stats end up mattering more for a long time, until they reach that threshold

    • @johnbrown1319
      @johnbrown1319 Рік тому +1

      @@kras5785 you're missing my point. but have it your way. I guess we can both agree to disagree.

    • @kras5785
      @kras5785  Рік тому

      @@johnbrown1319 I still agree that damage means more depending on where it's coming from and once you get the secondary stats that matter for your class. With iben fahds and normal gems, the difference of secondary stats comparative to the the amount of damage you get it is huge. For PVP as a f2p player, secondary stats mean very little since whales will always be above you, but the same goes for damage and life in that you really can't compete and even trying to maximize those stats you'll never compare to a whale.
      Even PvE, until you're about 100 or so armor pen above the hell level you get a lot of extra damage that way since it's percentage based. Most classes have ways to crit often without a crusader, like shepherd for necro, firestorm for wizard, gloomguide builds for various classes.
      I can definitely see a player who cares about maximizing their PVP stats caring less for secondary stats, and preferring just damage and life only. I find that to be a small percentage of players though. For PVE players, I think they're worth prioritizing until you have enough for the latest hell level.
      I hope that makes sense! Sadly there's no 100% correct way every player can follow to maximize stats, since it depends on what they want to do and if they're spending or not.

      The truth is Armor Pen has a huge damage boost the first couple hundred points above the enemy Armor. But it gets worse and worse to a point where it takes hundreds of points for one more %crit damage.
      A few numbers for context from my experiments : 40 Armor Pen above = 20% ; 85 Armor Pen = 30% ; 165 armor Pen = 40% ; 410 Armor Pen = 50% ; 730 Armor Pen = 54%
      Trying to aim for around 150/200 more Armor pen seems to be the most efficient also i would agree 400 for the 50% is nice too as it leaves you more room when fighting helliquaries to get those juicy glory chest
