Is the genetic FH a lifelong condition, or starts later in life (maybe depends lifestyle,diet...)? Can we find some of the genetic information in the testing ancestry, 23andme....do by looking up what the snp #'s tested at? In our family it seems problems start early80's . What do these FH genes do besides raising or not clearing or utilizing the cholesterol well? Is it the blood thickening or endothielial damage (wonder how nutrient levels effect) ? What helps most with PCSK9 (saw it mentioned in the book Beat the heart attack gene) ?
