it is quite fast in valorant, you would smash your fingers and cut yourself if you try doing it that fast, it hurts a lot at decent speeds tho

@@dariuscahyadi9607 Well they need it to be fast they can't make the pull out time slower can they. That's not balanced. Sure it's cooler if it's slower making it more realistic but gameplay wise it'd just be a disadvantage knowing you're pulling it out a bit later than everyone else.
So its actually possible to do irl as well, many people complained that its too fast but seeing how you do it really similar in terms of speed in the game is amazing
People are complaining not cause it's possible in real life or not; but cause it doesn't look as crispy as CS ones and mostly looks like Blur
@@DS-Pakaemon sorry but the CS ones are a lot more annoying to do in person just because the animation clips through fingers most of the times. In terms of real Bali flipping, this combo is much cleaner
This is actually a fairly basic combo as well, so you could learn it with just a couple months of practice.

Recently got into Valorant and saw the knife combo. All of the displayed moves are the basics and aren't as hard as people are making it out to be. I have learnt the combo, now I just need to make it smooth and crispy as the video :) Thanks for the move rundown.

@@csnoot I agree, it is probably the most difficult part of the combo but once you get the feel you can get it pretty consistently.
They hit the sweet spot of realism and in-game fantasy with this animation it looks clean asf even if it might appear "too fast" to some people imo it's just exaggeration to make it look more fluid
Yeah i didn't know how accurate it was, i just felt like it was indeed too fast. But it looks sick regardless
@@four7685 while you could argue it’s a little too fast it definitely fits valorants fast and flashy playstyle, you would think someone like Jett would spin it very fast
I dont see how it's too fast, as most intermediate level flippers flip at a similar pace. Some flip even faster, others focus more on fluidity, but most still flip at a similar speed.

@@averagesky8549 yeah, casual audience's that dont flip. Most everyone that flips all unanimously agree that the speed is fine. You could argue its possibly a second too quick, sure, but I wouldnt that "too fast".

Finally. As a non-flipper person, I didn't find it "too fast" because it's the same on pen spinning, Fast on camera, not that fast irl. Also, It is in Valorant's nature of aggression in every animation. Reloads for example.
Indeed it is, I practiced it with my chopper balisong(not a sharp one)
props to the cameraman for slowing down time for us non-balisong users who couldn’t keep up

The thing about the valorant balisong being too fast isn't really about the speed itself but how different it looks from the rest of the game at that speed. It feels almost out of place because of how motion blur is handled

@@Snwy2510 nah man, not accurate at all. if anything, csgo has the best in terms of looking the smoothest. apex makes 0 sense has a needle pointing inwards and the tricks are stupid. they actually did research on the community and what tricks are popular currently to design the valorant bali and it's pretty rad that they did that

That's a squid industries krake raken aka kraken, very good, I have one. But the combo in Valorant is a bit too fast, they somehow get more momentum before the next rollover.

The speed is actually accurate, the motion blur makes it look a little bit faster
And considering they are either superhumans, technologically enhanced or a fucking robot, it just seems right.

Also instead of replying to any individual, I'd just like to toss my note in to say that the issue with the animation isn't that it's too fast. It's that it doesn't have logical momentum. The arm/wrist/hand don't move as they should to do those moves. It still fits the games style, and looks good though.
Valorant just much faster because of the effects. (And it is a little faster because it wouldn't be fair if the balidong has more inspection time than the others)

the valorant one seems weightless, not too fast, it just kinda seems to get momentum out of nowhere
Its like it's using a plastic one that instantly disintegrates when dropped. The speed and momentum is just out of the blue and it just instantly breaks without any drag like the shortstop one(0:33), it feels uncanny.
