Im soooo glad u went w jacob for this knife his attention to detail are above n beyond. Bevels are spot onnan grind lines are tight and it holds up even the smaller blades like the rambler i got last yr. Takes some abuse!👌👍🏻
You're winning me over. Although I should endorse my own Triphasic Bush Knife as the finest woodsman's belt knife in existence, I thought nothing else would come close. This looks Very Good, almost as if it might be an even better knife than mine albeit there I wildly speculate.
@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors I like this idea. I am working on the MkII Triphasic which will be slightly larger than the first iteration, hence it will be of similar weight and dimensions to your knife, designed with very much the same kind of applications in mind. Yet the design is quite different. So I sense perhaps a comparative study is approaching :D
I really like your design here. I understand the price point on this knife, and although I really can’t afford it I’ll probably bite the bullet to get this one. I already have one knife from Very Good Knife Co., so this is a good excuse to get another one!
I don't think your price seems bad for what it's offering... It's above my pay grade just because jobs in my area pay crap if they are hiring at all. I haven't bought a new knife in a few years but if money fell in my lap I'd buy that in a hot minute. Good luck on the sales...
As much as I like the knife design, I think the 3/16 (.180 in) thickness is a bit much. I am a fan of the 5/32 (.160 in) thickness for knives as it is both light and robust enough for general purpose outdoor knife tasks. I really like the spear point as that is my favorite tip for outdoor knives. The recurve in the blade somewhat bothers me.
@@johnsmithfakename8422 this is no recurve in the blade… This is a 6.5 inch blade, I personally don’t think 5/32 would have it much ass, which I generally like that thickness
@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors My favorite knife has a 5/32 inch spine, has 6 inches of blade, and it has a NATO designation (Specifically the Peltonen Sissipuukko m95). I want the knife to come in 3V. I have seen a few 1/8 (0.125) inch thick, 6 inch long blades, but they typically have Scandinavian grinds. In short it all depends on the heat treatment.
