I started wating cricket when Bangladesh rarely playing against international sides, beginning of 90s, and mid 90s. Statellite connection just started to reach out among middle class families. Watched and supported Sri Lanka from there on. I couldn't like this movie because I watched real Murali playing on the field. Apart from his bowling he was an amazing fielder, took excellent catches. This film might also add few other heros like Jayasuria, Kaluwitharana, Arvinda De Silva, Gurusinha, Vaas, and other heros from 90s' Sri Lankan side. Without them Murali story isn't complete. But this is only my persoal opinion. From Bangladesh and ex Sri Lankan supporter.
really love the movie- did not know the personal struggles that he went thru. Kudos to Muttiah -- respect for him has increased tenfold!!! Just one thing missing in this, IMO, the impact of Saqlain mushtaq on Muttiah's career. He, himself, had praised saqlain on learning the doosra.
Sangakkara, MAhela, Dilshan and Lasith Malinga are not Highlighted in the movie. Should have done better editing. overall a super movie , a great biopic
