Feeding deer in Nara Park, Japan

- Nara Park is a large park in central Nara where deer roam freely.
The deer are really cute and you can easily buy crackers from street vendors to feed them to the deer.
Nara can be reached easily from Kyoto and Osaka, however there are no direct railroad routes to Nara from Tokyo. Visitors have to travel to Kyoto or Osaka, and switch trains from there.
From Osaka and Kyoto, there are two routes to Nara - via the limited express of Kintetsu Railway or using the local trains of JR Nara Line.
The deer come right up to the snack table..
