Absolutely gorgeous. I am always interested to see what you are creating. Never disappointed. But, I must be "technically challenged" because I have tried several links in your post and I can't seem to find the recipe for the base coat you used. Can you give me a hint where I should "click". Thank you sooo much for sharing all your creative ideas!
Hi Marilyn, the link brings you to a video with the recipe I use for this technique.. The base coat is revealed at the end of this video.. Johnstone, wall paint. Happy painting my friend & thank you for leaving a comment..🙏😊
@@paulstartart1356 I am not familiar with that brand of paint, but I will check with my local paint store to see what I can find out. I still can't find the actual recipe at the end of the video "No Floetrol or GAC 800: Just water: recipe included". is it just that? You ar simply using water and the specific brand of paint? I do appreciate your responding to my question. I love the minimalist and more abstract approach to your pieces. I think that is what first attracted me to the videos of your work. Great composition.
@@marilynlockwood3311 Hi Marilyn, In my experience all wall and ceiling paint (water based) will work for this technique.. It all depends on the body of the paint and the ratio of water.. In the last video I used Johnstones, wall and ceiling paint - 1 part paint to 15% water or there abouts.. The pouring medium for the colours or the recipe you are looking for in the link is as follows. Polyvine Varnish gloss, "water based" & Little Greene, Transparent Gloss "Water based" Mixed One to One.. Tip; when you are in the paint store tell them you want a heavy untinted base coat for a project and you will be adding your own colours ie the colours you will add to your Pour... Hope this answer your question.. Best of luck.. Paul 🙏😉💫
MEGA Bild 👍! Wuste gar nicht, dass man auch anders herum swipen kann. Super Farbkombination 😍. Ich bin begeistert. Perfekt!!! Liebe Grüße und bleib gesund 😊
What are your mixing ratios for your paint, are you using silicone. I’m trying to teach myself by looking at your videos. It’s much harder than it looks. Please share you are so inventive I feel so inadequate looking at your work.
I haven’t tried this brand yet. Does it get as many bubble as the dulux? My biggest hate with the blooms is the bubbles in the base coat! Love the colours of this one Paul. Very “Holly Berry”! 😘
Thanks so much Kathy.. Must admit the bubbles ruined many a good piece for me.. I mixed this coat a couple of days before using.. I did torch it also, but on reflection I don't think It has as many bubbles as the Dulux? Happy painting my friend.. 🤗🙏😊
