I have always thought that Ontario should be two provinces as the North has nothing in common with the South. The whole lifestyle is 100% different. Some better and some worse.

It's not a bad location and I'd take Cochrane over the crime and chaos in New York City or even Toronto.

It’s cheaper to build it from scratch , my brother is building is own home and he sales it back years after for a big profit .

Cheap land ok but cost of building that far is sky high and with little to no jobs there it’s not that great of a deal
You can exchange time and skills for money by being an off grid style home builder with some your own lumber used.😊

Seven hours north of Toronto is a joke. In reality it takes more like eleven hours with the stops, and two days in the wintertime, when you have to stop and sleep on the way due to the danger of moose at night.

They give you land that costs 15000$ for 10$ but then you gotta spend 100,000$ more to build a house compared to closer cities to GTA, so I see it as a 90,000$ loss to buy a potential
