wow! I'm instantly sold
great bass, though I have the impression you´d make a broom sound awesome too :)
Where in the states can someone pick up one of those bad boys?
Is there any reason that no one talks price? Just an estimate would be helpful.
@1:34 may be the best bass sound I've heard...
Amazing sound, I always enjoy listening your playing :)
Wonderful bass, GREAT playing!!!
Bi be di ba be di boo; the only accurate description of a very good bass. But what is the sound WITHOUT the neck pick-uo ? Thxs in advance
wow - what a player!!! nice bass too - albeit a "wee bit pricey" (to put it mildly)!
sounds fantastic Rob! Really earthy! The 2 pickup sound is so full of character!
What a base ... You play beautifully, sir. What amp do you use ?
I like these better than Sereks
Monster playing! You should totally upload some upright bass stuff at some point, I’m sure you’re just as sick on it too ;)
monster playing!
Man, this guy can play.
Hi :-) I am looking for a new short scale for playing jazz, but I am torn between the Wilcock Mullarkey and the Sandberg Florence. I have nowhere near to test them irl, so I unfortunately have to rely on UA-cam. I go for round, woody, deep bass, when walking, but on the other hand, I also want to be able to get a reasonable solo sound ( still bassy, but a little more top). Any thoughts? Anyone who has tried both basses?
Check out Ian Martin Allison’s video (on Scott’s bass lessons UA-cam channel), I think gives an other good perspective on the sound. It has way more clarity than I expected, and tbh probably just a different beast to the sandberg in some ways. I haven’t played the sandberg though. I own a fender mustang and a Wilcock mullarkey, and they are very different to each other…but in a good way!
Wonderful sounding bass.
Comes alive with a pick.
get on
Lovely playing. Sounds great!
Amazing sound, wonderful playing! I just got myself an Epiphone Rumblekat, and I'm happy that it delivers the sounds I was looking for, very similar to the ones you demoed here. After all, it's a shorty with similar pickup type and positions, although the middle pickup is even closer to the neck. And although the construction, woods, look and feel are completely different.
It sounds super funky. Wow. Any *young Indie band* would even look fucking cool rocking that.
Sounds great, looks even better.
Yo! This is what I've been looking for. I watched this video when first posted and couldn't find it again. I will own this bass one day. SS bass for life.
amazing playing! really like this bass
This look awesome sounds nice too
Rosewood would look even nicer I think
Fantastic bass! I guess the ultimate short scale :-D
Lovely bass, sounds great!
Lovely playing
Awesome. I will have one. :)
oooh boy. That is tasteful
looks "blobby"
Hell yeah
(G) 0.45 OUR 0.50?
sounds super!
Killer! What strings are you using on this particular bass?
Hi. I believe they're daddario half rounds
I’ve always wondered why Fender didn’t offer a proper neck pickup. ‘Like a jazz guitar.’ The Tele bass is their only example and they are hard to find and getting expensive. Rickenbacker also but I can’t live with one.
Good point! It was more ricky / Gibson territory I guess
Now they finally launched a nice one: The Squier Paranormal Rascal Bass might be what you're looking for. I was also looking for an affordable shorty with a woody, thumpy neck pickup sound and easy playability and found it with the Epiphone Rumblekat, before I had the chance to check a Rascal.
