@Hyde Micheal fuck u, son of a bitch
Good to see a young man who recognizes one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Great!!!
Very interesting im 54 years old now and I love the way you demonstrate 🤣😂
This tutorial is fantastic. I’ve watched this video twice and practiced the rhythm for about 3 total hours, just about got it. Very good teaching and I thank you very much! Such a fun song with great melodies.
this song amazes me, genius chords progression, respect
m. o. Paul was just 20 or so
Mr. Jack Straw of Witchita it’s not a Beatles song though, but their version is gorgeous nonetheless
Eduardo Fischer honestly it really is the Beatles song. Sure the original was fine, but the Beatles improved on it immeasurably
Great and clear demo Paul. This was my winning song when I was a kid at our fiesta in the Philippines. Years ago!
It´s not that hard
Iam an avid fan of the beatles.. I play guitar too. Thanks for sharing. This masterpiece ( Till There Was You ) really proved ,,,,they are done by music genius... And they are The Beatles....
Great teacher, teaching a great song, masterminded by the great George Harrison.
Look up the history of the song! Please. American record labels give away many songs they find cheap. Just to build the brand. Lots of unknown credit to one little kid american writer she was daughter to music label owner. Her mother too responsible for one... Rip George yes I agree though. Rip.
you're a good friend...thank you for let me learn...that song is hard to me...till I saw your method...long life...from Colombia...
Well done Paul you nailed it mate
I honestly don't think you realise how good you are!.. your covers and lessons are a credit to your dedication and obvious talent as a guitarist and vocalist!
Good job mate! 👍 🎸🎤
Lqqq absolutely agree - also very clean technique
Superb! I really liked it. Thank you for performing without singing also. This was from the late 1950’s musical, “The Music Man.” Meredith Wilson wrote it. Paul sang it. George did some nice nylon string guitar work on this one. I also like that Star Club Hamburg song Paul did- “Falling in Love Again” with some guitar work I also love. Thank you for the nice lesson.
Falling in love again? Will have to check that out.
Your lessons are pure genius! I've learnt so much from you! Thanks Paul :)
Paul McCartney once said, he travelled across town in a bus to see a guy who knew how to play a B7 chord and if he could show him how to play it and then they came up with this masterpiece.
Ahead of their time. Great tutorial
"Till There Was You" is a song written by Meredith Willson for her 1957 musical The Music Man, and which also appeared in the 1962 film version.
In the Beatles version, George gives it a Latin bolero twist.
In the key of G I played a diminished chord on the word dawn and then an augmented chord on the word dew. Don't have my guitar handy but I think it was a G dim and a G augmented or one off, try it you will like it. We also had a band in the 60's and I learned this song on my own and suggested it to the rest of the group but was shot down
Excellent instruction and great playing. Thank you!
You explained this PERFECTLY thanks man!!
Paul, Excellent tutorial. I loved how you started your lesson with the end point.
fantastic job Paul! I played piano to your video playing in the background and it sounded great! keep up the good work

Hey kid I didn't realize until I watched this again just what an awesome job you've done on it. I saw them do this live on Ed Sullivan when I was 9.
Muchas gracias por el aporte, súper detallado. Saludos desde Honduras.
Hi good morning thanks for your video,,, l want to play this song so with a better away, l play the guitar and that song its very rich in the variety of notes,,, thanks for share your excelent away to teach,,, your friend Oscar de Pachuca HGo Estados Unidos Mexicanos, so long,,,
Love that acoustic!
Love hearing you play 😘😚😅
I'm related to a Beatle. I think. Most of All Ringo gave me some great hug and smooched cheek kiss. I was seven. At Ed Sullivan Theater.
Backstage. I was a kid songwriter met Jackson five. Tons of hugs. Michael was stunned by me staring at me
The Cowsills took credit. For the hit that year met them backstage. Their child band member snubbed me! No one in my family ever re counts that time. Maybe being my mother lost credit. For her song. By Dad taking it to other record label owners. He was in the business many years. Not nice if him. Makes a book.
I saw them do this on Ed's show. I watched the way you've done it. Only one thing to say. EXCELLENT Mr. !!!
Excellent, Sr. Congrats! Thanks!
Very well done good to follow thanks a lot for sharing. Beatles songs are very popular but the lessons are not always easy. This one was.
I"m from Brasil and I love a lot your lessons Paul. I am learning many beatle"s songs with you. I love Beatles so much and I am so happy to learn. Thanks a lot. You are the best
I'm very curious with these types of comments. Why do you have to share where you're from? It's the internet. People are from everywhere.
Amazing lesson! Very high quality video and pretty clear chords explanation, extraordinary, congratulations!
Been playing this song for 40+ years after figuring it out by ear. Now I'm hooped trying to relearn it correctly. lol. Thanks for very good tutorial though.
My son's friend is teaching me how to play a guitar. I let him watch your video so that he teach me this one. Thank you for the tutorial. I hope you can also make a finger style with tabs. 😀
Good work Paul. As close as it gets. . Bravo.
My how you are so accomplished and can teach also Thanks for your professional help, I am enjoying this challenge
This good composition that was composed in 1963 has been 58 years old now...I trust that Paul is a genius composer that has composed many notes in this composition beautifully...so now though I am still 52, I try to learn the guitar rythm and lead of this lovely song. I hope that I am capable to play guitar for this beautiful composition soon...
I hope you can do it mate! this was one of the first "moderate difficulty" songs i practiced on guitar and im so happy i know it now, just keep practicing and you'll get there! (not to be rude as well, but this isn't actually a Beatles original, the original was from a musical :) )
I do have to issue a correction: It's from The Music Man, written by Meredith Wilson.
Now I can play on my Yamaha F310! Got it on Oct. 9th
This is exactly what I need, thank you very much for sharing.
Thanks Paul. I was stuck on figuring out the final chord from other tutorials but you nailed it with your explanation!

Great tutorial. I had given up on this beautiful song due to the chords but I’m going to learn it faster now with this video.
There were bells on a hill
But I never heard them ringing
No, I never heard them at all
Till there was you
There were birds in the sky
But I never sawr them winging
No, I never sawr them at all
Till there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me
In sweet fragrant meadows
Of dawn and dew
There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No, I never heard it at all
Till there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me
In sweet fragrant meadows
Of dawn and dew
There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No, I never heard it at all
Till there was you
Till there was you
Great job and thank you.
Mucho más claro !!! Gracias !!

Herat teacher paul

Nice video super cool
Very clear and to the point. Great tutorial.
You sing beautifully and thank you for sharing with us how to play the guitar on this lovely tune as well. Could you also show us how to play " A world without love " guitar solo as well. Thank you for choosing great materials to sing and play.
Paul, thank you very much for sharing this useful video
Very good explained with slow playing and show diagrams
Thx again!
Perfect...sound like the original beatles....love it!!! 10+
awesome
Very good explanation. Thanks, from Fort Lauderdale, FL
Great lesson! Thank you!
Just fyi the second chord is a 7 (Ebdim7). I actually play it as an F#dim7 (same notes F#-C-A-D# but different voicing. Always a favorite of mine played, starting on low E string, on frets 2,3,4,2,4,2)I also play c7 instead of c9 but either will work and F#9+ is probably the (unknown) chords most concise name(F#7/#9 or F#mdim11) are others. Well done.
i played the triangle to ur music in the background ..
Kid your really good ! I'm 72 and learned this years ago in G. When the Beatles did it; I always wanted to relearn it their way. All those minors and dim chords...Man! that's a lot of store bought chords for one song but the sound is well worth it. Thanks !
Finally a good lesson!!! Thanks a million, mate!!
Thanks for posting this. It's easy to follow you and it sounds great!
Really nice performance and lesson!!!
Great
Thanks man, love this song!
TonyVm204 no problem!
thanks , brilliant lesson,
Tremendo 👏👏👏
Lovely work Paul. At around 10 minutes you talk about that mystery chord, I think GH invented it? lol. When I play the lead part I play a C9 with my pinky on the top E string 5th fret (which works) I can't get to grips with the mystery chord it hurts my hand. Thanks so much any way you've shown me a few extras in the rhythm which I never thought of.
Rick Bellamy no problem Rick! Haha and yeah that chord does baffle me!
It's a #9 chord, the so called "Jimi Hendrix" chord. Root, 3rd, 5th, b 7th and # 9th. There are easier ways to play it. Leave out the 5th and play the root on the D string/4th fret. The same voicing with slightly different fingering can be played with the root on the A string at the 9th fret.
Well done, it sounds great! Genius chords
Nicely done ty great lesson for a great song!!
Excellent, Paul! Love from Serbia !
Ima comeback when i am able to play thisss
Good video. The mystery chord is F#7#9.
Excellent!
I do it in E, makes the first dim chord just two notes to hold down. 6/1 4/1
noticed that too
hola gringuito, no se quien eres ni que dices pero eres mi heroe
Very Impressive! I loved your rendition of the rhythm guitar it brought so much of the wonderful energy from the song. Definitely earned a Sub
Thank you so much! I really enjoy playing rhythm guitar in general, I’d say I’m more of a rhythm guitarist than a lead guitarist, glad you liked the video and thanks for the sub!
👍👍Congratulations Paul. Excellent tutorial.
fantastic!! your guitar
great tutorial
AWESOME...
Thanks dude
I think I will have to start learning how to play guitar
Paul, Well done!
Perfect!!!
