Of all the performance reactions i've watched, you're the only who noticed they used different vocals than the original track. I've noticed right away too since it's kinda obvious, i think SM wants us to feel that it's live (they even used mics here) even tho we know it's not but yeah, the "rawness" of it feels nice and i do appreciate them doing that.
I didn't initially notice it until Wendy's high note before the last chorus. I actually think the vocals used in this is the first recording version of the song because after watching their recording behind video, Wendy's high note in this sounds like the high note she initally recorded before she re-recorded it during her last additional recording session. Plus when Yeri came in for additional recording she mentioned the M/V filming and during their M/V filming behing, Feel My Rhythm was playing. I'm not sure if this is making any sense but i'm pretty sure the vocals in their performance video is the first version of the song because the M/V was recorded before the song was actually finalized so they probably used that version and changed it up a bit to make it sound more live???
@@cc0241 yeah, they probably used existing vocal takes from the recording session and just left it raw or less proccessed (just like sir austin said) thus making it sound more natural compared to the vocals in the released track. I'm pretty sure they did this too with got the beat performance on mcountdown and prob other SM idols performance as well.

“Wildside” Japanese title track. Full Album drops on April 6th, 2022. The girls got us shook! They have have two mini Japanese Albums Cookie Jar & Sappy. Both albums have 6 songs total on both albums.
Wildside is really special because I usually don't like any song at my first listen. Like, literally, most of my favourite songs were growers on me. And, honestly, I wasn't really feeling Wildside in the first minute of the song bc I thought it was the same formula as always. HOWEVER, I swear, when that freaking chorus came in I got an ergasm. I just love it insanely much and, after that chorus, I started liking the song as a whole. I loved it at the first listen!! The vocals, the dance, the look. I just adore everything about it. Also, Irene and Yeri slayed it so hard, as they should✨
as some others have mentioned in the comments, you should definitely check out their recording behind videos! their most recent one is for feel my rhythm, and on top of hearing how well they record, you get to see them collaborate and give input on their goals for the vocal delivery… it’s just so good.

Feel My Rhythm realllly grew on me, too. I didn't think I would like it LIKE THAT as much as I loved and was blown away by the concept and the amazing video art. But WOW has it really continued to just go up and up in my opinion. I knew the Japanese comeback was coming but I didn't know it was coming RIGHT THEN and also I had not seen any concept photos unlike for ReVe Festival so I was just totally stunned and blown away - almost whiplash but it felt good hahaha :D And YERI in this one! THE BOB. I loooove so much. You when you had to just stop for a minute and processs.... (I do think that's Joy at that one time you asked if it was Joy's voice). I think the vocals (like the parts) are the same, but I got the same impression that they used a more raw sounding vocal for this performance version of the song to lend a bit more of a genuine sound - something about it sounds produced/processed differently. You're 100% - but also I feel like I really enjoy seeing them this way with this song for a different vibe because the video is so visually overwhelming. Idk if it's green screen or just digital effects - the room FEELS pretty real to me overall, but I'm not a professional at this. I love the music video having seen ALLLLL of the exact references to the Bosch artwork, like it's a LOT. But - I feel like I enjoy the song itself - the music of it- more with the performance video.
