OMG finally someone other than myself has the common sense to sew on the details in the beginning instead of glue them on or try to sew them after it is stuffed! Thank you for having common sense, thank you! (If you like my Pusheen profile pic give this comment a like?)
Me and my friend both love to sew and we do it together all of the time your tutorials have really helped us master sewing and you were right these plushies are really easy if you are new to sewing
Awesome and simple tutorial, Lauren! :) I've been hand sewing plushies with embroidery thread and it takes FOREVER, but you've convinced me to give the sewing machine a try again (I'm just so afraid to mess up, but I know it'd save lots of time). Thank you for this inspiration!
Sally Feng Aw, I'm so glad I could inspire you! I feel that, like anything, using a sewing machine takes some practice, but when it comes down to it, hand sewing is so much more work and takes so much more skill! I promise that if you're talented enough to stitch whole plushies by hand, you can manage pressing your foot on a little piece of plastic! :) And if you mess up, you can always just unpick it and try again! :)
+Lydia G I'll be making some non-fabric Pusheen crafts in the next few weeks, if that helps! I think they'd make great gifts. I'll post the video as soon as they're done. :)
I saw the video a few times more and I got it. Thank you so much and I think this is so cute and awesome! Great job, I love your channel and you just earned a new sub! :D
Cool tutorial!! I'm also from South Africa and used to really miss having cool stuff that other parts of the world had but I never thought to make it myself :P Now I live in the Netherlands...
+seraphiccandy21 I was part of OBE (I think) but I did Consumer Studies in high school, so I spent three years learning to sew clothing and to essentially have all the skills to run a business sewing!
Basically it was like a focus on more entrepreneurial skills, so you could start a business sewing theoretically, making clothes or whatever and selling them for a profit. It was actually a pretty cool course, and some of the skills I learnt have really helped me!
Wow, this is literally the best, its so adorable!!! And if I can ask you a tip since I'm a newb to sewing, how can you make the pusheen rounder? I want to put a cosplay hat on mine (and wings) to make her (well, in this case xD) look like one of my favorite characters from a game. A suggestion please? Thanks :)
You could probably do it just by adding stuffing, and making her head the size of the hat/wig, but alternately, you could add some darts to the head, giving it more shape, more like a beanie hate - try looking up basic hat patterns and that might give you some idea of what I mean. :)
Ok,so I LOVE this pillow and I what to do it, but the only problem I have is I am confused. When you sew the two parts of the felt, and you said turn it inside out, would you sew the body while it is facing the other part of the felt, or facing the other way?
Evelyn Greganda I'm not quite sure what it's called, actually! It was around the fleece section in the fabric store, but it's not quite like polar fleece - it has more of a fluffy texture. I'd recommend just looking around your nearest fabric store, as I'm sure they'll have something you can use - most fabrics will work, so it's just a matter of finding one you like. :)
+doot doot It was a grey fabric I found next to the fleece in my local fabric shop. Not sure what it was called, but it had quite a high pile. Anything with a little bit of stretch should work. :)
ChocoDoesStuff I'm sure you can! Just glue on the facial features and patches, and then glue around the outside (where I've sewn) leaving a stuffing hole. Then turn right side out, and stuff it, then glue the hole closed!
Hey! Unfortunately I made this soooooooo long ago so I'm probably not going to go back and make a pattern now, but I am trying to make patterns for my new projects as I make them!
I love your tutorial. Where did you find the Felt? I've been looking everywhere in NW and can't find anthing other than the acrylic felt... +new sub :)
+Christine Hattingh I'm pretty sure the felt I used was acrylic felt! :) It works fine for this project! The main fabric I used for the body wasn't felt though, it was a different, more fleecy fabric - try looking at your local fabric stores for something soft and grey with just a little bit of stretch!
OMG :OOO WHAT do i have to do in order for you to make me one just like that!?!? o.O I am beyond amazed of how it looks!!! I always use Pusheen emojis xD Love it!!!
You are a big inspiration BTW I subscribed and turned on notifications! Also for your next video can you do a tutorial for how to make a Stitch plushie from Lilo and Stitch the movie.PLEASE! I am your biggest fan!
Yuna Mo I'm sure that will work just fine. :) You should be able to glue anything where I've sewn it, and you can glue the two body pieces together the same way I've sewn then (so glue the two right sides together) so that when you turn it the right way out you don't have raw fabric edges. Don't forget to leave a gap to turn it and stuff it though! :) And don't be afraid to try sewing! I promise it's super simple and fun, and this is a great beginner project. :)
+Gushie Plana You definitely could! :) I actually have a new video on making a felt elephant plush coming up in the next hour or so, so look out for that!
+Samantha gymnastics7 Just about anything - you should be able to find these fabrics at a fabric store, but you could always even use an old sweater or something you already have. :)
+Zuza Breguła Aww thanks :D And yes, you can! Personally I don't like using hot glue because I don't like how hard it goes when it cools down, so I prefer to sew everything, but it definitely takes a lot less time to glue :D
Carolline Nindy I used grey fleecey fabric (but you can use what you prefer), dark grey felt, black felt, sewing equipment (needles, thread, scissors, and a sewing machine) and stuffing. I think that's everything. :)
OMG finally someone other than myself has the common sense to sew on the details in the beginning instead of glue them on or try to sew them after it is stuffed! Thank you for having common sense, thank you!
(If you like my Pusheen profile pic give this comment a like?)
Your picture isn't even Pusheen
I commented this a long time ago and I have changed it since then
Well
That defeats the purpose
Me and my friend both love to sew and we do it together all of the time your tutorials have really helped us master sewing and you were right these plushies are really easy if you are new to sewing

Awesome and simple tutorial, Lauren! :) I've been hand sewing plushies with embroidery thread and it takes FOREVER, but you've convinced me to give the sewing machine a try again (I'm just so afraid to mess up, but I know it'd save lots of time). Thank you for this inspiration!
Sally Feng Aw, I'm so glad I could inspire you! This is a great idea! Also good for people who can't buy many colors because you only need 3 different colors! I
+Sam B Yes! And you only need tiny amounts of the black and dark grey, so you can just use scraps! :) Glad you like it!
So awesome find a South African that did such an awesome tut. Thank you

Cool tutorial!! I'm also from South Africa and used to really miss having cool stuff that other parts of the world had but I never thought to make it myself :P Now I live in the Netherlands...
+seraphiccandy21 Yay for South Africans! :D I've always been creative, so it just makes sense for me to make whatever I can't afford to import. :P
Lauren Dixon-Paver I still remember having needlework and sewing classes in grade 4 :P Did u still have those or was it already OBE?
+seraphiccandy21 I was part of OBE (I think) but I did Consumer Studies in high school, so I spent three years learning to sew clothing and to essentially have all the skills to run a business sewing!
Lauren Dixon-Paver lol, consumer studies teaches sewing? What? Besides a sewing shop what kind of business requires sewing? :D LOL
Basically it was like a focus on more entrepreneurial skills, so you could start a business sewing theoretically, making clothes or whatever and selling them for a profit. It was actually a pretty cool course, and some of the skills I learnt have really helped me!
Yaaaas! Just found this and I'm absolutely going to make this! Especially since official Pusheen plushies are so expensive! (at least for me haha)
+Raja Mali That's exactly why I made one :D Especially because of the exchange rate where I live!
I'm glad you made this because I really wanted to make one thank you so much.
I'm so glad I could help! :D

Thanks ^^ I basically want a mop hat to put on her and wings, so I'll try that!
Ok,so I LOVE this pillow and I what to do it, but the only problem I have is I am confused. When you sew the two parts of the felt, and you said turn it inside out, would you sew the body while it is facing the other part of the felt, or facing the other way?
Kitty LPS Which step are you referring too? I'm not sure I understand. At which second in the video do you mean? :)
What fabric did she use? Its so adorable and perfect! I wanted to make one but i have no idea what kind of fabric is that
Evelyn Greganda I'm not quite sure what it's called, actually! It was around the fleece section in the fabric store, but it's not quite like polar fleece - it has more of a fluffy texture. I'd recommend just looking around your nearest fabric store, as I'm sure they'll have something you can use - most fabrics will work, so it's just a matter of finding one you like. :)
So Cute~
I am going to make one for my friend's birthday~
Yeah it's such a cute gift idea :D
it looks so real
Looks wonderful!
What type of fabric did you use? o:
+doot doot It was a grey fabric I found next to the fleece in my local fabric shop. Not sure what it was called, but it had quite a high pile. Anything with a little bit of stretch should work. :)

Yuna Mo I'm sure that will work just fine. :) You should be able to glue anything where I've sewn it, and you can glue the two body pieces together the same way I've sewn then (so glue the two right sides together) so that when you turn it the right way out you don't have raw fabric edges.
