Do you also have 2010s footage, even though there’s already videos of it since UA-cam is mainstream?
Another huge year i went to the movies constantly ❤
When people were making $6-7 and hour but provided good service …. Now they get $15 and 💩 service and EXPECT a tip for doing nothing 🤦🏻♂️
Your videos don't show up on my subscription feed anymore
2001 is closer to the 70s than it is to now
well thats true but partly misleading, its only closer to 1979 than now
4:08 Howdy! 😀
The last bald dudes that didn't shave their head.
I took my little brother to see Lord of the Rings in 2001 when it was released. I'll remember it for the rest of my life. Different world back then. In many ways it was much better.
I went a saw Deadpool and Wolverine earlier this year and it costed me around $50 just for three seats. Even though I enjoyed the film, I told myself that would be the last movie I would ever go to the theater to see, the prices these days are legit insane.
Could you please upload a video focusing on Black Friday shopping at a Mankato, MN Walmart store in 2007? My parents were in it.
Movie theaters are on the extinction list, kids. Watch them as they once were. Majestic creatures that provided joy and stale popcorn and watered down Coke. One day soon they will be gone forever.
It’s sad because it’s not like I don’t enjoy the theater. There’s just no movies worth watching anymore
But it's fine because if everything is on streaming, then you can pirate it for free 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Also, you don't have to deal with kids not shutting tf up, playing music and UA-cam videos throughout the film, people talking, taking phone calls, all the annoying crap that comes with going to a watch a movie in a cinema.
And hopefully with it too, overpaid Hollywood actors.
@@Cake... that would be the only benefit but you know that’s never gonna happen
This is when popcorn was given to you HOT and not that room temperature crap you can buy from grocery stores.
I love those Square Soft popcorn bags. Too bad the company’s movie business plans destroyed them then forced them to merge with Enix. . .
2001 was a really good year for movies. Me and my cousins went to so many movies here in Seattle and back then nobody was on Instagram looking at their smart phones all day back then movie theaters mostly accepted cash now you gotta pull out your plastic to pay to pay $27 for hotdog and a soda, and that’s not counting the price of the movie ticket
Everywhere accepts cash 😂
@@RolandKoller90 not always true some movie theaters, depending on what time you go only accept credit cards over here in Seattle some movie theater chains don’t take cash
6:31 Don Callis very happy with his pop corn
Old times
can you please upload more Toys r us from 2000 to 2009🥺
My local theater closed down because of the pandemic. It was a huge place and it kinda blows my mind that it’s just gone now. It has now became an Amazon hub.
Oh wow, FF9 popcorn bags, that's hella awesome!
7:32 Final Fantasy IX!? I wasn't expecting to see that!
You know the one thing I've noticed in all these videos on this channel is that no one is getting pissed off that they're being recorded. People today flip out when you recording them. What a difference 20 years makes between civility and being a total asshole.
A see the usual pre 9/11 comments which i can notice and resonate with. Although I worked in a cinema from 2006-2011 and this natural vibe and feeling was still there, although it faded around 2010, smartphones I guess..
The 2010s is definitely when things took a sharp turn towards where we are now, imo.
It started to fade mid 2008 when the recession hitted. It was an overnight thing and the mood started to change. I remember those faces in high school they were mad or sad and confused.
Ah, I was a not so young 40 years old in 2001! I still have DVDs I bought then I haven't watched yet 😮
Do you miss the early 2000s?
Very cool. Please more Maryland videos from the 80s 90s wheaton Maryland
Damn, 2001 was -- and likely always will be -- the craziest year of my life.
Buddy, when's the last time a movie theater promoted a video game such as The Bouncer?
This better become a netflix x National Geographic documentary series
The Bouncer popcorn bag 😁 I have that music CD This is PlayStation 2 era 😁
Someone build a time machine please
Wow. First, everyone is using cash, and second, the theater is actually full of people who are excited to be there.
These 2 things don't exist anymore.
It exists just not in very large quantities. Streaming and COVID-19 really killed everything as far as the movie going experience
July 2001 max payne released exclusive to pc .then by 2001 end december released ps2 xbox
Are you the one that shot all the footage on your channel?
2001 november syphon filter 3 released on PS1 exclusive last gen exclusive not on PS2.
Sometimes I feel like reality just shifts. A touch screen computer in 2001? I don't remember there being any computers with a touch screen back then. Maybe it's just me and I never noticed some businesses were set up like this. I still love the movies. The vibe is definitely not the same as it was back then though. The concession food is priced way too high now. But I still get decent movie prices as the movie theaters around me offer certain days with discounted tickets.
I used to design kiosks and the first touch-screen kiosk I installed was 1990.
@xjohnny1000 I was actually speaking with a family member a bit ago and they remembered them. I guess I just never really paid attention. 1990 wow how could I not have noticed this my entire childhood 😅.
I used a touch screen monitor at Space Camp in 1984.
Things were starting to become more "futuristic" by the early 2000s and even late 90s. Except then, the new tech wasn't everywhere like it is now, nor was it completely taking over our lives yet. it was a nice mix of contemporary and old school, imo.
Take me back TAKE ME BACK I don't want to live with TicTok Nooooooooooooooooooooooo
Jet Li's Kiss of the Dragon and The One were released at the time. The One is a B-movie with candy-coated visuals.
Can you do a video of going to the movies in 2008
What’s the lady cashier doing tapping the computer screen? Ain’t no way that’s a touch screen in 2001…. 😤
Look like it...
Touch screens in retail have been around since the early 90s
Good vid.
I wonder what was playing that day?
That video was taken the same month Loews Cineplex went bankrupt. The beginning of the end.
My childhood
its me or the auditorium in that time was huge and betters, i never like the stadium style!
Holy fuck Hannibal was good in theaters!!!
is it me or did a lot of people pay more with cash than using a card?...interesting
Debit cards were so common in 2001 i dont know why everyone is paying cash its not the eighties or early nineties.
