Disha asks Rukmini to call Trilochon and inform him that Shyama has proved her innocence and that Basanta will file a complaint against him. Rukmini asks Trilochon not to disclose her name to the police. Nikhil meets Shyama at the railway station and requests her to return to his house. Krishnacharan also persuades her to do the same. Meanwhile, Trilochon gets arrested by the police.

The protagonist of the tale is a dark-skinned girl named Shyama, who aims to eradicate the shame associated with color. She marries Nikhil and experiences prejudice because of her skin tone. She embarks on a quest to forge her own identity as a gifted vocalist. Shyama thinks her skin tone is similar to Lord Krishna's. Following her marriage, she pursues a career in music, which completely transforms her life. Although Shyama's mother-in-law despises her, over the course of a few years, she grows to love her and even lets her sing.
