One of the unique capabilities of the Endeavour is the independent sub-axis positioning on each spindle. This feature in addition to FICEP’s rigid “Direct Drive” spindle technology enables the Endeavour to perform diverse milling routines. The structural steel section remains stationary as the spindles moves independently in all axes during the milling routines.
Both internal and external weld prep milling can be generated on the two flanges simultaneously. Rat holes can also be produced at the same time. Even copes on both flanges are generated simultaneously.
The Endeavour in conjunction with a saw in tandem is a production cell that drills, produces copes, rat holes, weld prep, mechanical openings and cut off with one operator in one small footprint!
