Kyle has improved his skills - starts and turns - so much compared to when he was a junior. Great talent and lots of hard work to develop into a consistent world class swimmer.
DRESSEL V CHALMERS WILL BE EPIC
For sure it will be, but Dressel isn't fully focusing on this event. I don’t think he can break the WR and Chalmers will be even better in the isl final. He wasn’t completely taperd before this swim, it was more sort of a test where he stands at the moment. Also keep in mind that Dressel has many events before he races the 100 free so Chalmers will be better rested. But still I think it will be a great battle because Dressel can do unexpected things when there is competition. I am excited!
@@swimmingcoach1405 Actually Chalmers goes up to 200m while Dressel is a pure sprinter 50m, 100m. I expect Dressel will try to beat that record.
@@sylvainguinepain5624 Chalmers is still a better 100m swimmer. Kyle also had heart surgery affecting his olympics preparation, so would put money on Kyle Chalmers to break the long coarse world record after his next tapered event
@@psychedelicgoat3464 i think you mean shoulder surgery...
@@poo-tinthedwarfbunkerb1tch535 he had heart surgery as well in late 2019
What a joy to watch. Damn, boy! See how much time he makes up in his turns? Short course is his friend. Absolutely beautiful.
Fina! Should be 44.84 and not 48.84 in the description. Thanks so much for showing us the entire swim!
In an interview (with Swimswam? with Brett Hawke?) from his hotel room quarantine after the Tokyo Olympics, Kyle said that he was unable to pull for months in early 2021 due to yet another shoulder surgery. Instead of giving up, he strapped on a snorkel and grinded out tons of only kicking for months. You can see in this video that he improved his underwaters massively compared to 2020. What an inspiration!
100%
Like a BOSS.🦈
Dressel has always said Chalmers is a better 100 swimmer, but the thing of Dressel swims multiple events. So he doesn't have the opportunity to focus on one event, but let enjoy a non supersuit world record
Chalmers does the 200 free as well as the 100
wow just wow, he improves alot, now let's see how Dressel responds to this
He wont. He loves Kyle, even invited him to come train in Gainesville during the pandemic, because he had better facilities than him during that time. Furthermore, I don't think he cares about short course meters at all. If it weren't for the ISL he wouldn't have any WRs in it, because it's not important to him.
Aussie king
Awesome !!!
KYLE CHALMERS IS A LEGEND
He broke the world record of Amaury Leveaux (France).
Amaury Leveaux established it in 2009 at Rijeka (Roumania). He is an olympic gold medalist in 2012, and double silver medallist in 2008.
Rijeka (Romania)?!!!! Are you serious? Wtf, geography level -1000...
It was in 2008, during European Champs
Вот это да!!! 😁
Mark my words , in 3 years time Popovici will dominate 100 m freestyle and 200 m freestyle long course and short course. He's only 17 years old and he's already among the greatest! He needs to add some body muscle and work on his underwaters, and then his gonna be a monster!
Doesn't work that way. It depends on how he trains in the water and taper, only.
@@paulzeng6211 it’s both
@@paulzeng6211 he beat the wr today
Little did you know he has the wold record at only 18 years old
true
Nice race
かっこいい
Mighty Aussies 🇦🇺
Rocket speed!
Chalmers will come back next Olympics, he will still be only around 26 years of age.
woww...
Wooo - yo got it - go on further, beat yourself Kyle ! VITS - Force Chanelling Principle
What's the difference between RUS and CLB?
RUS = Russian National Team | CLB = Russian Club Team
Every World Cup Stop, if there is extra space (I think the cap per event is 60 entries), swimmers from the local clubs are alowed to race.
Cheers!
@@zsomborczoma Thanks!
You put the wrong time in the description *facepalm*
Australian freestylers are the best in the world!
Could not agree more
For the freestyle
They’re Emma Mckeon and Kyle Chalmers
Dressel excel in diving and underwater.
Surprised that Chalmers beat his WR in short coarse.
Dressel didn’t have the WR previously and never had. It was held by Leveaux previously
Dressel didn't have this WR
Dressel was never really that good with his turns in short course meters
This is a supersuit record, previously held by leveaux
Where is dressel
whar is the song name?
Very impressive! The previous world record was from Pieter Van Hogenban? It was already below 45 seconds, right?
No, the old world record belonged to Amaury Levaux
Go Kyle🇦🇺🦘🥊
Kyle is banging Emma Mckeon these days 🌟
Pan OMG
I may be mistaken here but im positive i saw a french swimmer swim a sub 44 time a few years ago?
Best frontcrawler ever
He's great but I would say cesar cielo is the man to beat until his WR's are broken.
Who is Charles?
3 people in the stands 🤦♂️
Popovici is 5th here Damn
who is faster Dressel or Kyle?
Short course meters Chalmers
Yards Dressel
"New World record time: 48.84 " it says.

RIP
Dressel was under 40sec 1 time right?

Might get away with the doping here, but it will haunt you. See Paris 2024 100M
Wins by 1.5 seconds. He could have swan long course and still beat everyone else's time.
Chalmers DESTROYS lil leb dress!
Why are they swimming in a 25m pool?
David popovici just beat it
Será o sucessor do IAN THORPE?

Not interested in short course.
And you specifically opened this video of a short course race to type that comment? You must be the smart one in the family
