- In this video I will upcycle projects from the thrift store into decor in a stye that I could use in my home. I will sell these items in my booth for a profit. I use IOD Brocante transfers in this video but you would use transfers from Amazon or stamps to get a similar look.

I one time painted an old child's flip top school desk (white) and decoupaged a map of North America inside, so that when you opened the desk, you saw the map. I had no space in my home for it, but it sold! Your little "cameo" is adorable!!! Loved all the projects.
That desk sounds awesome! Henry likes to make an appearance since he is always around while I’m making stuff!

Those two tin canisters came out beautiful and I liked the pig napkin holder solid white with the wet distress. I also thought the wood box with the bee on it looked great.You find the cutest things when you go out thrifting!

At first I really liked the pig just dry brushed but after you finished distressing it after fully coating it with white paint, I liked it even better. The canisters are beautiful and the little bee box is very cute.

I really like the canisters. Also, I like how the drop cloth gives a boost to a somewhat plain basket. I craft items that I give away as gifts...sometimes it's hard to part with them lol.

Definitely prefer the dry-brushed pig. And a fun fact about that picture frame - I bought the exact one (maybe larger?) at a Zayre's Dept Store in Ohio the early 80s. Mine's still dark brown tho.

I have been sharing the things that sell on my monthly booth updates. That way I can tell you what people actually paid for them rather than just my pricing (but not sold yet). It such a learning curve but I’m starting to understand my market better.

Yes please! Right now 2 of my furniture items are listed for sale but I’m told they can take longer to sell. The size of my booth kind of limits what kind of stuff I can put in there. If I upgrade the size I I could sell lots of big stuff!

@@CreateYourOwnCozy thank you. When I was growing up in a very small town, there were no others with my name. Not even in our whole county. I was crushed because I could never write on the bathroom walls, "Marlie loves Jim", nothing like that. I had a really rough upbringing. Lol
🤣🤣 I had a common name and never wrote on the bathroom walls! My brother’s name is Webster (family name) and he never got to get name plates etc from the stores. But I think I would rather have a unique name!!

Painted pig with distressing gets my vote. Everything looks great. For that wooden box, did you clear coat first then add the transfer? Or did you add the transfer and then spray clearcoat it?
Yes and yes! I clear coated it first since the transfer won’t stick to unsealed chalk paint. Then sealed when it’s all done too!

I used a clear matte finish spray paint from rustoleum to top coat it before applying the transfer.

I think you are referring to wet distressing? (Brain fog). Sanding would totally work I just wanted less mess so I wet distressed it.
