Boy you're not kidding your garden is exploding !! The colors of the tulips and the Friesland Salvia is really beautiful !
Thank you for letting my husband and I walk around you outdoor space today. It gave me the inspiration I needed to get rid of my fake plant and go real !😂 Your yard is beautiful
Your gardens are beautiful. I can’t believe how far you have come in a short time. I am glad you didn’t have damage with the storms.
So happy to hear you had no storm damage. Everything is lovely.
I would totally trace those shadows and paint them in that “Linda Vater Grey” onto that sidewalk! Art’s Alive!
Hi, Linda! In one of the last videos you mentioned contemplating something of visual weight for the patio side of your front garden; maybe a wieglela.
Have you considered blue foliage? I’ve noticed you don’t use much red (and maybe you’ve addressed that), but you do sometime use blue. Seems to me it could use a change of color (in addition to form) in that spot.
Everything looks so lovely! Beautiful work!
I thought of you right away, when I heard the bad weather you were getting. Thank goodness you weathered the storm. Prayers for families that were affected. Loving the view, every time your door opens🥰🌷🌷🌷🌷🌹🌹🥀🥀💐💐
There’s nothing better than a Wednesday walkabout ! Thank you Linda
I love the Wednesday walk about. It makes me feel like I am there walking with you and seeing all the beautiful plants. The garden glows. Thank you for sharing this special time with us.
I also just have to say I love your language usage and pronunciations! ❤
Hi Linda! Love your videos..but a little advice from a longtime news anchor/reporter who deals with mics…is it possible for you to be miced up during your walkabout? The same mic Stewart uses..it would cut down on outside and wind noise 😊😊👍
Linda I love your beautiful garden and thank you for stopping to listen to the birds. Welcome Spring 2024🤗😊🩷💜💛❤️
I can't get over the difference from last week to this: wow-your garden looks so lush and colorful. Your salvia is beautiful...My garden is still asleep-it was 38F this morning. Enjoyed the shadow play.
It's SPRINGTACULAR! 🐦🌹🌷🌱🐞🌞
Wow the yard has really really filled out! We were just a little worried when you first started but you trusted your vision and they are showing up for sure! ❤
Goodness Linda, its just more beautiful every time you show it. You've got me hooked on Ajuga! What a stellar plant! Can't wait to see what you've created in the back. (tenderly.....its height. There's no h at the end❤)
So interesting and regional! And how it changes over time too! Usage Note: Although some people pronounce height with a final (th) by analogy with length and width (and, in fact, the word was originally pronounced and written with a th), the standard pronunciation in Modern English is (hīt).
@@LindaVater interesting! We learn something new every day, right? Or we should at least try. 😊
I can never believe how quickly things grow and expand in your gardens! I'm still waiting here in Southern CA to plant and re-pot as we're about to have yet more rain and wind! At least things are thriving as I've been keeping some newer things somewhat sheltered behind my short porch wall. Thank you so much for such enjoyable videos, good information, and inspiration!
Yes we would love a list🤗
Spring has sprung and it’s glorious! Loving everything coming to life.
Such a tease! I have been stalking your channel waiting for the backyard reveal, I thought I had missed it. 😮 😂
I was praying you were safe from storms! Your garden is fabulous! Tell Stewart Happy Birthday 🎊🎉🎂
Wait….did I just hear you say ‘root’ instead of ‘rut’?? 😂❤ The garden is INCREDIBLE!🥰
As I’ve mentioned prior, that I’ve been gardening over 50 years now. After a trip to Europe in the late 80’s,I returned with a very sophisticated English Garden admiration. My question is, have you ever considered, some European statuary! I have some beautiful pieces in my yard, and I feel it gives it so much more character. Because, when I see your front yard, I can definitely see a piece here and there. Maybe ,just a fantastic 2/3 tiered water fountain. The sound of slow flowing water is so calming . Just a thought! Your garden needs very little to improve on although.🥰
Beautiful idea!
Totally agree 👍
Fiona 😊🙏🌷
What a treat your video was today! Here in Southeastern Pennsylvania it's been raining for 3 days and again tomorrow, so seeing sun in your video today was a welcome distraction from outside.😊
I am in Central Pa. I left my purple romaine in the ground all winter. The main plant is growing this Spring.( so surprising) Easiest thing to seed too. Save your seeds. You'll never have to buy it again.
Beautiful!!!!
Wow your front yard garden looked gorgeous in that morning light. I too am totally besotted with Salvia ❤
What a beautiful garden you created in such a short time!
I’m first-AMAZING! Linda, love your beautiful gardens.
This rainy year has been so beneficial for your new garden! Sure does look gorgeous this spring! 🌿🌿🌿
What a beautiful garden you created.
Such a joy to walk your garden...good time..
Lovely...❤
Garden is looking so beautiful!! Have a blessed week!
👀 looking beautiful can’t believe how it has become so beautiful in such a short time
Come on Linda I want to see entire back garden...no fair making us wait!!!❤😂
Stunning spring color!!
Just beautiful Linda.
Nothing beats spring birdsong!
Garden is beautiful 💚
Oh the COLORS!!!!!!! LOVE YOUR GARDENS!🏘
Simply lovely tour!
You’re providing a smorgasbord for the squirrels! Lol! We have the same issue…they’re chomping off the new growth of our hostas!
Amazing tour!! ❤
Loving everything in your garden! Surely spring has sprung!
Thanks Linda. Very happy garden!😊
Very, very nice!
Oh my Linda, you must be so pleased and over the moon with your gardens. They are amazing and look so vibrant. I love everything. 😃👍🏻
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Garden is absolutely beautiful!!!
Everything looks good gorgeous !!
Your garden is stunningly beautiful today!👌🏽
Love the tulips and their shadows!
Looking great ❤
Oh Linda ... everything is so beautiful, so colorful! In love with the tulips and the purple salvia.
Your yard looks amazing! I love all the tulips popping their little heads above all else!
What a showstopper your whole property is Linda! It looks phenomenal! ❤️
The front and back yard are both stunning. Thanks for sharing all your spring beauty so I get 2 springs - now with your garden and later with my own.
Don’t erase the little “notes” your little one wrote, you will cherish them later ❤❤❤
I can’t believe how far things are growing in your garden. It is cold and windy here and spring is so slow coming.
Lovely walkabout! SOOOO very beautiful and fun to see as we here in Zone 5b wait and wade through all the standing water! A lot of rain here!! I especially enjoy seeing the self-seeders! Enjoy!! 💐🌷💐🌷💐🌷
Yes, i still remember you telling us to remind ourselves to stand up straight when we go from one room to another. Ha!!!!😊
Beautiful ❤
I came across salvia a few years ago at my garden center and thought I would try it. It is hands down my favorite color perennial in my garden every year since. And there are a few varieties that I like to mix. Some have the gray foliage, some the dark green,,, and the purples are a lovely range. I am in California zone 10 . My morning garden walk about today showed tons of seedlings that I sprinkled in a few weeks ago. Makes me so happy. Your chartreuse Japanese maple is incredible! My favorite color in the garden. It's like little pools of light. And Ajuga is so prolific in my garden as to be invasive. If I don't keep it up , it completely covers my flagstone path. But I do love it! Thanks for the lovely walk about. I particularity love the back stoop
Height vs Heighth; choose Height. We tend to want to add the -th because we over-generalize from depth, length, width, etc. I have learned so much from watching this front garden develop and I have chosen some of the same shrubs and perennials from seeing these. The plants are exploding with color and vibrancy and the newness of spring. It is spectacular!
Sadly, we’ve had day after day after day of rain here in NJ. I’m over it!🙄Thankfully, my tulips and daffodils are still standing strong. Better days are coming, so planning to get in the garden over the weekend.
So glad your ok. Heard about the winds and rain in certain parts of Oklahoma. Garden looks amazing. Thank you for sharing love from Rosie O from Devon, England 🏴
This is so beautiful! I am in Canada- we had an 'el nino' winter, so a lot of random things are in bud/bloom right now that shouldn't be. It will be an interesting garden season! :)
Wow! Can't get over how much it's popped! Here in 7a and we just have tete 'e tetes barely coming out!
Did you see how the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum, Boston gets their cascading nasturtiums to grow and install? I think you wounded fascinated! I
I really enjoy your lovely garden, and the tips and experience you share with us! Do you think you could share some photos/advice on how to know the difference between flower and weed seedlings? Thank you for inspiring us!
Such Lush Beauty :)
I grow in my central VA garden several small/petite figs in pots that I can shelter if we get harsh long spells in the winter. Did I miss what you did with the little miss figgy plants? I'm partial to them since my Italian grandparents had one in PA they brought from Italy in the 20's. Grampa would burry it every year to protect it from western PA winters, and resurrect it each Spring. It always had great fruit on it!
Absolutely beautiful! I need some of that salvia in my garden for early color. North of Tulsa.
So excited for spring in the garden!
Wow ! Your gardens have exploded into bloom ! So gorgeous. I'm going to have to get some of those salvia plants, they are stunning! We are all covered in pollen down here! Praying for everyone affected by the storms 🙏🌪️ From Georgia ( aah-choo!!) with love ❤️
So pretty the front garden is. The backyard looks amazing the beautiful Japanese Maple tree is pretty all green so stunning is that a bench where the firewood was?
Linda, the mystery bulb bloom yet?❤ Happy birthday stwerd
Wow! So beautiful! Makes me so envious! I am in the northwest… a suburb of Vancouver, B.C. It is so wet here, and so far behind you in terms of growth. It is coming though so that makes me happy. Thanks for sharing! 😎🇨🇦
NYC…we are getting hammered with the storm right now.
Lovely!!! We are still far behind here in Md. soon enough though
Hi Linda
It's so exciting watching everything come together☺️👍I noticed the larkspur scattered about too. So much interest...when one show ends another begins. Did you think the redbud blossom lasted a short time?❤
I love verbena bonariensis but in my last garden it seeded itself too much. I had to rid it! But I will try it here where I am convinced it won’t! 😊
The squirrels found you, their GPS took awhile to.🇨🇦
I feel your garden went from snow covered to flowering right away! I only have tulips flowering now 😂
I’m jealous, we live in zone 7b in Maryland and been chilly and raining for days.
Love your Spring garden. I am amazed how fast it has filled in! I was able to buy some boxwood basil seeds. Looking forward to them this summer. Did you plant the original seeds in place, or inside and then fransplant?
Your spring garden is outstanding. It frosted here last night, in Indiana. Hoping my Royal Star Magnolia didn't brake a big hit from it. I know I have more buds that did not open so I am hopeful.
Looking just lovely, Linda. Would you recommend East Friesland over May Night? They seem to do better.
Please, can you show us in this time of year
every time your snowball viburnum ?
I realy want to see it in green and white
and enjoy it the most…
Thank you.
Your garden has exploded!
Love how it all came together.. One comment.. did you ever fix the squeaky front door?😊
Your garden is SO BEAUTIFUL right now it is the antithesis of mine in NJ! We are having a
“RASPUTITSA “ here in NJ !
And a basement full of water 😢.
Hey did u use up all your firewood ? I see the bench !
Love that you are thinking of the neighborhood dogs by providing water but please don’t use a stainless bowl when leaving out water. It gets much too hot for pets!
Nope! Not this one… It came with a special notice on it, that it would not :-)
@@LindaVater thanks so much for being extra conscientious! Your garden looks beautiful!!
Always enjoy your gardening videos, Linda. Can you tell us what you do about weeds? I’m afraid in my garden, those little larkspurs coming up would have been doomed by my Roundup spray. I have to attack weed growth on a regular basis. Thank you for sharing.
Talking topic idea - what to look for in mulch. It’s that time of year and I’m curious what mulch I should purchase. Lowe’s has mulch on sale for $2 a bag but I’m not convinced it’s very good quality. Any advice you can give is appreciated.
Every thing is sooo pretty ❤ Did your Texas Silverado Sage survive the winter..just bought me one.
Hi from Annie the garden is fabulous all that colour. I have looked around for that Wedding Hydrangea but Bunnings here in Adelaide never heard of it . Where can I get it, is is sold in seeds? Must be an overseas only variety? I got an a Queen Adelaide one that is basically what they stock lately cost me $30 small pot and it is not doing well in that hot weather we had 40C few days then it dropped to 20C and I had the plants in my shade house pergola spot but still the leaves got dry burnt not matter how much water plants had so with those leaves peeled of the plant is halve its original size was disappointed. I think I can take clippings from it and grow it ??
The wind is here in the Atlanta area! i need to go out and move a few things around. I have a lavender butterfly candy to plant. Which one did you find grew larger than the others? everything is looking quite lush in your garden!
Walmart had some near dead Sunshine Ligustrum plants today on clearance. Should I take a chance on them or not? 7$ each.
Absolutely beautiful!
What kind of Allium do you have in your garden, they’re huge?
❤
