Shapo's tennis strokes are visual art. The serve, forehand, and backhand are standouts. Every movement his body makes smoothly flows into the next movement while still remaining explosive. everything from the prep to the racket swing path, to the rotation of the body, to the deep follow through, even his tendency to leave the ground, it is all just poetry in motion.

Relies too much on athleticism, won't be here in ten years

@@BK-ks2sf i respect your opinion, but I don't personally feel he "relies" on his athleticism. Compare him to de minaur for example. now that is someone who relies on athleticism haha.

I feel that shapo's main weapons are his pure ball striking from the baseline, and he is improving his transition game and net play every year. He supplements this with his athleticism, but I don't feel that it is his main way of winning.

@@BK-ks2sf just stumbled upon this comment.. his athleticism? footwork, prep work, body rotation and follow through are all skillsets learned. Saying he relies on athleticism implies he's wicked fast like De Minaur or crazy reactive like Monfils or insanely strong like Nadal. Which in this case, he's not like that.
he's an incredibly skilled player and like Kevin said, his tennis is like visual art.

Busta is a clean ball striker. I am surprised he won this though.

It says "BLM" in the audience seats. Are they serious? Why are these sports events focusing on some political messaging?

Shapo has a weak backhand. He will never be number one.

That’s ridiculous. Denis has an outstanding one-handed backhand. His problems are with game management and psychology. When he calms down a bit and pays more attention to big points he would play much better. Technically and physically is one of the most promising young players.
