I have all jigs made from tormek, and also made several myself, that tormek doesn't make, so I can sharpen almost anything.
Right now im working on a motorised jig, for special jobs.

Very interesting. I am in Australia and want to buy a Tormek T8. This T8 black looks very impressive. The diamond wheel is a good addition. I think it would be good for a professional sharpening business.

@@TormekSharpening ordered it yesterday from Sharpening Supplies.com yes I will consider that I may offer it for sale in The Guild of Professional Sharpeners or may keep it and just run 3 machines in my shop. It's hard to part with any Tormek Machine especially my first child LOL

I just ordered a 50th Anniversary T8. The question I have is regarding recuves and serrations.

What is the grit value of the composite wheel on the T8-Black?
Hej Stogie01, it's equivalent to 2000 to 2500 grid, compared to the honing paste for the leather honing wheel which is 3000 to 3500 grid.

Hi again Keith! We already have three different grit diamond grinding wheels for Tormek T-8 and earlier models. The DC-250 Diamond Wheel Coarse (360 grit), the DF-250 Diamond Wheel Fine (600 grit, included in the Tormek T-8 Black) and the DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine (1200 grit). dear Tormek Sharpening Innovation, first of all, thank you for the video, it's very good, I want to ask for some help, unfortunately I forgot to put the acc150 liquid in the water for the DF 250 diamond wheel fine diamond stone when I first used it, and now I see that the diamond wheel is streaked a little tanned, whatmake it disappear?my first plane and I were very stupid and now I'm worried about what will happen

A slightly tanning is not a big issue, it should be ok when using the Anti-Corrosion-Concentrate now.

I am now 10 minutes into this video. What are the REAL differences between the Original T8 and the Black Edition?
As they said in the video, the difference is cosmetic and the warranty.
The differences are for example: the colour of the housing, the diamond wheel, the accessoires delivered with the machine, the warranty. It is a limited special edition that was launched in 2023 to celepbrate our 50th birthday!
People tell me the tormek wheel wears too quick. So it's good u gave a diamond wheel. What grit is it

Time to replace your cameraperson. That audio is very poor on one of the presenters. Two minutes of microphone testing before the presentation would have revealed the issue.

@@TormekSharpening I was not the first person to comment on the poor audio the left person on screen was having. I listened on an iPhone 12.
I listened on an Ipad and didn’t notice any audio issues.
@@TormekSharpeningIt is common in all the films I have seen that Sebastian is heard very clearly with a louder sound than the other person, which becomes a bit difficult as I have to set the volume after the lowest and then Sebastian becomes very loud. I usually watch the films via PC with a connected sound system.

Hello from Australia. I am a male on the the disability pension. I would love to sharpen for free people's knives. Axe. Chisels etc. But can't afford one of these beasts. I do some wood work myself. If u have an old model that would be great. Otherwise hello anyone who read this!

You could always search for used machines. The Tormek sharpening machines have a long life-span so it is worth searching for a second-hand machine ☺
