There are not enough words to describe him. Being the leader of the biggest boy band in the world is a very difficult task. He is doing a great job for the team. No one can do it the way he handles BTS. Having a leader like him is the biggest success of BTS. He deals with all the good and bad of the group. He is an absolutely brilliant genius. 3:28 - About the water bottle, if I remember correclty there's less than a minute before they need to transition to a new song AND move position. Because after that clip, they all stood up. Plus, it's an open bottle and hence dangerous to have around where they can spill it and risk someone to slip on it. Joon is just looking out for the other members and making sure they're on time to start the next performance.
The "plagiarism" accusation at the time of that press conference was years-old and had to do with a French photographer claiming that his work was mimicked. Later, the case was entirely dropped with no merit. It had to do with the members sitting around the table in Blood, Sweat and Tears and a couple other artistic concepts.
It was later found out that the plagiarism accusations were brought up at that press conference by a news reporter hired by a rival agency simply to try to generate negative press during their album promotions-- it didn’t get anywhere as RM and SUGA handled it very professionally.
Yup, the only resemblance is that both are inspired by Da Vinci's Last Supper painting. The artist was reaching because there was no resemblance beyond people sitting around a long table. And yes, both the French artist and the reporter who asked the question had connections to a rival agency (artist worked with them previously and the reporter only wrote positive articles for their artists while slandering other acts, especially BTS).
None of the plagiarism claims were all proven false and were attempts to bring down BTS. This is one of the reasons that Army is so protective.

I think this video shows you know how RM is as a strict leader and why he is a leader. Even though he comes in the middle in terms of age in BTS with 3 members older but when he is in leader mode he has really a lot of pressure and responsibilities as he is like a bridge between the members and the company so our respect and love for him is so high and he deserves all of it so this is just few of a lot of clips showing why he has the right to be a leader💜👏👑Namjoon

As the leader of the group, he has more responsibilities and no added benefits. If anyone from the group does something wrong, he’s the one that’s going to be criticized and responsible for it. If they don’t see results, it’s RM that’s most stressed. You can see his anxiousness when waiting for presenters to announce winners at award shows. As a leader myself, I get it. He’s 4th oldest in the group and thrown into this position at such a young age that hasn’t experienced enuff life to know how to navigate everything. The younger members can mess around, joke, run around, laugh, etc…who doesn’t want to do that? But someone needs to keep everyone in check. It’s not fun being that person. The added pressure is so much, especially for someone as big as them. U can see how it’s finally got to him and he let it all out in RPWP. Even in indigo, he expressed wondering if he made the right choices. He also mentioned in festa I think, that he always had to be the voice for bts, but he always questioned if that voice actually reflected bts or if it was just his voice. Always having to turn off him, and turn on bts can really mess with u. I think out of all the members, rm struggles with who he really is the most and I believe it’s because of his role as the leader. He’s had to tone down him and emphasize “leader”. Kinda losing who he is in the process.
I really admire and am proud of namjoon. I hope he can rest his mind in military. He really needs it. To not be responsible for everything and everyone for a bit sounds wonderful

Fun fact: anytime bts have an argument, even if it's only between 2 of them, all 7 of them have a meeting about it to figure it out & make sure the issue's resolved. For example, the clip of Jin & Tae, the members had a meeting to discuss their argument after the concert was finished.

Rm’s is the foundation making this group stand while trying to make each shine convey company & members bringing common ground while respecting each opinions here are the moments where he’s little more professional he calmly observes & reacts accordingly the given moment on tae’s part the camera was supposed to zoom into his face the shot was about to take he just needed to wait thats why he snatched he does things for a reason he recently open up on the pressure from being under burden which we knew how hard he endured kept movin nodding until it was suffocating sadly his position doesn’t offer him much but he has is and will always be scapegoat for hatred every single thing happening with members or company end up on him givin y’ll the surface of things he goes through yet he stood tall never outshine them pushed everyone uplifted kept the balance i wish it gets little easier for him movin forward navigating cus the pressure is insane he always have to watch what he says & does its not the chill life he’s livin responsibilities too high im just glad he’s slowly but surely will heal with time!

I love that the other members really respect RM. And I love RM more so now that he has learned to be a bit "loose". I think it's because BTS have all matured and have accepted one another and learned when to be serious and when it is allowed to just have fun.

Rm is the dad of the group and Jin is the mom. RM treats the guys like his kids but he treats Jin like the elder he is. He even wakes him up the gentlest. Jhope is the loving, compassionate, protective big brother to a T. He even shares his coat with you when your cold 😅
If you can control with a glance or tap it means you are respected. Notice that they didn’t make faces or eye rolls when he corrects. They don’t resent him, they want his approval so they comply. He also said he was too uptight early on… but, there was a lot on the line and they all understood that. They have the pressure to please a very judgmental Korean society as a whole, guard against giving something for other idol fan groups to latch onto to attack, and continue to gain fans themselves. Living life under a microscope is not fun. They went through all this because they wanted to share their thoughts to the world with their artistry. It takes a special breed of person to endure, often times money isn’t enough to compensate for the physical and psychological stress. When they were all burned out and considered breaking up the group, they decided to stick it out because of the fans who have loved them unconditionally. It was through RM’s guidance that they were able to traverse the hard times and come out better and stronger. As JK says he is the leader and deserves to be the leader. As Suga says without Namjoon it would have been impossible.

You should definitely look at videos of RM role as the leader, and how he leads the group. He has a huge job, and he does it very well. Even how all of them respect him in his role, especially Jin, Suga, and J-hope, because they are all older than RM. The respect that they give him as the leader is amazing.

That reporter in the last clip was in the pay of another label, just trying to keep a fake scandal in the news cycle and hoping to get a rise out of the guys. BTS have NEVER been accused of plagiarism for their music and lyrics, because they are just too wildly original, and when they do sample something, they get permission, pay for it even if they don't have to and give credits. j-hope paid 2.7 million dollars for Chicken Noodle Soup purely out of respect. He didn't have to pay a dime because he released his version for free. It's always accusations for stupid stuff like photo concepts, hair colors, outfits, stage design, etc. But nothing has ever been justified, and they have defended themselves in court over and over successfully. These are all just smear attempts.

I really admire RM and his leadership skills! RM's fave is V/Tae, Tae & Jk would always get into trouble and they know when RM is mad - his chin protrudes LOL. Even though Tae i his fave, he still knows what needs to be done. With regards to JIn vs V talk - after the concert, they all had a meeting after to fix the problem. That is something BTS does, everyone is involved on solving any fights/disagreements.

Further context on that plagiarism question, the journalist was sent on purpose by another kpop company to ask BTS that. They wanted to catch BTS off guard and make them look bad. It didn’t work lol. Btw those plagiarism accusations were unfounded.

You should see how the rest of that Jin Taehyung argument played out after the show- all 7 had dinner in the hotel room and talked about it. They always work things out together as a team. So special. So rare.
The first two situations are also on awards shows that's why maybe RM was extra on looking and checking at the members and their behavior because its not only them who are there. There are a lot of artists and also a lot of fans of other artists. All eyes would be on them and haters can so easily claim things like the group is not professional, or that they are unruly, etc.
Namjoon is really the best leader, Jin is the eldest but he didn't trust himself and was stubborn and didn't want to make an effort for the members, himself and the army, at that time he didn't want to listen to any member, Namjoon is always there for the members.

I think that this video is not very well made and is full of speculations but that part about jin and v fighting is a very important video to me coz after the concert they have a sincere conversation between all the members which made me understand why their bond is so strong and why they have such good synergy, I watched in the documentary on Netflix, I hope you guys are able to watch it someday!

While RM is an awesome leader, he's also extremely clumsy. He's sometimes referred to as "The God of Distruction." Love to see you all react to some of those moments.
This video doesn't even cover the 360 of what namjoon does as a leader. Just like we don't understand fully what it means to be the leader of such a massive collaborative of people, all talented in their own regards, with their prides, faults, fears, joys, artistic and working drives.
There's seven people and then there's the whole company too, which has been good and beneficial to them for all we know, but has also its own motives.
He often stood up for the group in front of the CEO, the AR and the rest of the team, making sure their priorities as artists wouldn't get lost just for the vision the company has built around them.
Then there's the media and promo side of their duties, making sure in interviews all the members have a chance of understanding the questions and answering with what they prepared.
There are the boycotting, the hate, the racism, the mocking, the exploitation. This is not to say the other members never noticed, they're not kids, but he often shielded the other guys as well as he could, especially in the red carpets and Western interviews.
He always works really hard to make sure bts get their efforts worth the hardwork they put in everything they do.
