I dont see how people can really compare this to leno or stern. Its more personal and one on one. Theres no band, no side kicks. Its not directed towards humour.

My father died of colon cancer last year. Breaking Bad was our favorite show. He didn’t know he had it when we used to watch it, but almost like a premonition he commented many times on Walter’s cancer choices. I will always remember how how he would say he understood why Walter would choose not to go through treatment; that the cost financially, mentally and physically might be just to great considering the odds of actually going into remission. By the time they found my Dad’s cancer, it was really to late. He had his colon out but it had metastasized to his lymph nodes. He called it quits on treatment after that. He wasted away. When he passed I could almost pick him up in my arms. He was like a bird. It’s bitter sweet for me to watch anything Breaking Bad. Still cry when I remember all the good memories and good times we had watching it together. I miss him. So much.

He's got to be one of my favourite actors just because he was Hal in MitM who was just the best character ever, then he was so good at being this weak little man with a good heart in Drive then Walter White. I mean the main thing is that his range goes from Hal to Heisenberg. That for me is the sign of a great actor.

I know Bryan isn't the first actor to do this, but it blows my mind to think that an actor is so attached to his character that he goes through the trouble to shave his head and lose weight to look and feel more like his character. What an amazing person

And Jared Leto! How he becomes a character and stays like it even off set is incredible. Some of his weight loss/gain is just scary

KMills84 I was going to say that :) He one dude that takes his roles pretty seriously. What he did to become his character in The Machinist, and Rescue Dawn. Starving himself and eating insects. Wow.

I didnt think much or anything of Strombo before but seeing his celebrity interviews I'm like wow. This guy can do it. Thoughtful and classy.
and he always has that huddle with the guest during commercials. I wonder what he;s talking to them about?

Cranston has the good fortune to have the talent, face and physique to be able to avoid being tied down to a specific character archetype and genre. The man is amazing.

George is probably the best interviewer i've ever seen, he challenges the interviewee in a constructive way while also supporting and creating a nice atmosphere for them to be in, he doesn't have any ulterior motives, he just wants to ask the questions that people didnt know they wanted answered

George is one of the best interviewers out there, he has sort of a Dick Cavett air of sympathy that really brings the best out of his guests.

Idk, I almost put George above Dick... I feel like Dick was a product of his time, and he tried to create an intellectual air about him and his program. But what I so admire about George is that he doesn't try to be or do anything - frankly, George looks to me like he could be a total douchebag MTV host of some garbage reality TV show. But the amazing thing is that he is incredibly thoughtful, empathetic, in-the-moment, funny... You name it, George can keep up with it. Truly an elite interviewer. Also props to George's audience for going along with the program and not overreacting to the guest's stories.

How do you know an actor likes the interview? Normally, without thinking says the name of the interviewer. How do you know it's a good interview? It's a conversation, goes up an down smoothly. Gets into dark-not happy stuff and goes back to the bright whit out saying it. Well Done!

Last year my little brother died suddenly so me and my sister-in-law spend the better part of a month together. To stop from thinking about my brother we soon started to bring up other subjects and she's an avid series watcher too.
She recommended Breaking Bad and colleagues as well. So I took it a bit slow to work through the sudden loss and binch watched 5 seasons in like 3 days.
And I was AMAZED! I loved the story so much! I really like stories where the people are "grey" I hate that typical good guy bad guy stuff because it is so trivial.
Here you have a man who (like us in a sense) was dealt some very poor cards from the deck of life and he makes the best of it in his abilities. And you can get it and you are rooting for him to succeed.
But by season 3 and especially 4 he has gotten so jaded on the inside and he's a person you just love to hate and if this was the character you saw from day 1 on the screen he would be the bad guy!
Except the audience is tainted with this image of him before he started his way to the top of the crime syndicate.
Yeah that was some of the best character driven TV ever! Very well written but also very proper production! It was like watching a very long but great movie.
