This video was so helpful thank you so much. The 1.8 hybrid is exactly what we bought and there aren't many videos of the car on British roads so this was great! 👍
I have this car but would like to know how to adjust it by 1mph at a time and what the button is next to the radar and next to the lane assist? Can’t work out what it does?
You can't adjust the adaptive cruise control 1mph at a time, only in 5mph increments. You do have standard cruise control and you can adjust that in 1mph increments with the same process as using the adaptive cruise control. The button in between the lane assist and the distance selector button is your normal cruise control. Press the button and the normal cruise will be activated. Press down on the cruise control arm to activate standard cruise control and control the speed by pressing it up or down to change in 1mph increments.
You actually can increment by 1mph. Just tap the lever up once, then tap it again right after and so on. It'll do it by 1mph. I've done it in my chr. (If lever is left pressed that's when it does it in increments of 5mph) hope this helps
Just got the CH-R Dynamic, LOVE IT. No idea how you got over 70mpg, I only get around 50 if I'm lucky and I'm trying to roll it and gently accelerate everywhere. Saw Hadfield Resevoir and all the roads past stockport that I drive on, so any tips? :)
Thomas Kassar you'll find that it performs less well in winter, as you have more use of heaters, lights, wipers, etc so the petrol engine is running more often. I think you'll see your mpg improving when spring arrives 😊
That was an impressive figure, I've never seen over 60 on mine and it's usually about 37mpg for me on the motorway though I do set the cruise at 87mph! Around town usually mid 40's.
It's called assistant brake, so for emergency purposes car breaks. It's not adaptive cruise control. In the settings of the car can turn off features like that, but you should instead just learn to overtake smoothly, not speed up to the car in front and then go around it, as the system uses the car's in front speed and your speed to know if it should break, so if it's smooth it won't do anything.
ON the C-HR, you have adaptive cruise control as described in the video or you can have the standard cruise control. The button you press on the cruise arm turns on adaptative cruise, press it again for normal cruise control and the radar won't activate. You can also press the button between the lane assist and distance selector button on your steering wheel as this also enables standard cruise. Press down on the cruise control arm to activate it.
I believe the person is not talking about cruise control at all, as per his comment he is in control of the car and wants to overtake other vehicle. I've seen other people complaining about assistant breaking system which slows the car down without any cruise control turned on. Don't mix things up between radar and adaptive cruise control. Radar provides other features which can be turned on and off within vehicle settings in the control interface usually, of which one of them is the assistant/emergency brake.
@@geda2494 Yeah possibly they are. You can overtake with the adaptive cruise on as you just put your foot down and the car speeds up to overtake which is why I assumed they were talking about adaptive cruise control. Not to mention they're commenting on a video about the cruise control 😁 I think you may be right though with reading their comment again 👍
Pull the cruise control arm towards you to deactivate all cruise control. You have to activate cruise control for the cruise control radar to be activated. You do have standard cruise without the radar activated (adaptative cruise). Press the activate button on the cruise control arm twice. The first press activates adaptive cruise and the second press activates normal cruise control. Or turn on standard cruise with the button on your steering wheel between the steering assist and the distance selector.
Thank you for this. Finally someone that actually shows the buttons, the process and doesn’t blabber in for 9 or more minutes

And why it shows an option to hold the lever button to engage the cruiser speed

Does this version of DRCC automatically stops the car as well when the car in front stops?
Yes, it applies the brakes and will come to a full stop. As always though, you need to be ready to take over if it fails.
@@lorez8388 yes I am on it. Just wants to know the full function of the car because even the manual is not as clear.
Amazing

Brilliant thanks
And how you turn off the radar completely? So annoying, when you wants to take over and the car just slams onthe beake.

can't turn off this crap, almost got me killed this adaptive cruise control
