I cut 99% of sugar out of my diet. I literally have to look at the ingredients of every food I buy. I was addicted and now I'm breaking free. It's been very hard for me but if I don't do this I will never be happy with myself.
It makes it easy. Avoid nearly all processed food, eat only whole plants and meat bought raw. Canned beans, nuts, and high quality cheese are ok in moderation.
@@victoriapeay3019 Glad to help. Just read the labels and make sure there's as little added stuff to those last 3 as possible. They like to add sugar to some beans (kidney), and most peanuts have sugar (avoid flavored ones like honey roasted). Instead buy dry roasted or plain nuts where the only ingredients are the nut and salt. No sugar or oils.
I remember quitting sugary drinks (so any juice, soda, smoothie, coffee, etc.) and I got headaches for like 3 months straight. Regardless, I made it through, and now I'm normal. Out of curiosity, I actually tried drinking lemonade a couple weeks ago, and after a few sips, I thought to myself, "Why did I order this? Was there really a point in time when I enjoyed this?" As crazy as it sounds...I legit lost my taste for it. I still eat carbs, blah, blah, I'm not totally off all sugar, but I didn't realize how stopping sugary drinks alone could make me lose 30lbs.
It's because sugary drinks have lots of calories. One can of pepsi is 150 calories! Some people drink four or five a day, which is over 600 calories just from sugar!
This video requires 1 billion shares. I quit sugar for 3 weeks, only fresh fruit. 100% can affirm I was having withdrawal symptoms like crazy - worst headaches of my life, mood swings, frustration, crying, dreams about donuts. I started rationalizing that I just needed 1 muffin or 1 slice of pie, even when I was eating very well and didn't need it. Your brain really does confuse sugary food with something more - something you can't be happy without. 10/10 recommend quitting sugar.
xfrancescanicolex Bro that is insane, and my absolute congrats to you. I've been educating my family about it for the past couple days since I've really been researching; I've been doing this for 25 yrs and raised my daughter the same way. We have always been conscious of sugar but I never had time for the biochemistry until all these sugars started to effect everything negatively. So I researched and we are slowing to a stop because of it causing so many of our problems (fatigue, irrationality, depression, etc.,) and I knew it was the damn sugar - you can feel the rush happen if you lay off it for awhile.. which is almost impossible.. And that shit about dreaming about donuts 😁😁😂 crazy
Allie Maricru No, everything that can react biochemically is a drug, maybe you meant narchotics bc anything your body can metabolize can be called a drug.
@burnt peyote yes this is really true I was abig time sugar junkie and then the doctor told me I had type two and it scared me .I don't know how I did it but I gave up sugar right now and started eating right I knew I had to if I wanted to save my life and I noticed my depression went away just like that it was amazing. What a turn around.but when I was always eating sugar I wallowed in depression and that's where I stayed for years until I got away from sugar and if I did it so can you I don't know if this will help you whit your depression but its worth a try
I hadn't eaten ham for 5 years. I tried it by accident today and thought I was going to pass out. I guess when you quit something and take it ages later, you physically get a shock. I bet its hard for vegans to transition to an omnivorous diet after a while.
I feel you, I for the most part hate the taste of sweet food but every so often I’ll slip up and it feels like I just slammed a bottle of everclear. My head starts aching and I just want to lay down and sleep it off.
Yes, & we're only allowed 20 - 35Grams of sugar everyday. In my opinion, America could easily combat the obesity crisis by restricting the amount of sugar that could be allowed in one serving. 47 Grams in one Snapple bottle... thats just insane. Imagine how many people buy more than one bottle a day plus other foods containing sugar.
@@KyaneOficial Sugar with fiber is fine, like in whole plants. Avoid fiberless sugar as much as you can, basically anything processed with added sugar (most processed items), or missing most to all of the fiber even with no added sugar (fruit juice).
I notice kids never actually eat meals anymore. They're exposed to a constant barrage of junk and 'juices'. All sugar and crap. My mom fed us 4x day, all we could eat . We all came to the table hungry and ate nearly everything on our plates including every type of vegie. Glad I'm still happy eating real foods. Thanx, Mom!

Fat is unhealthy in large quantities? Says who? Why do we believe that? It's all based on bs 90's science.. today we know it's not if you're on a low carb diet. :) But it also varies person to person. Some people can't process it well.
It makes you start to realise why older people (boomers) are so entrenched in this capitalist madness. They were born into it and bred by it and they didn't even know.
We vote with our dollars. Nothing will change until people stop purchasing products with obscene amounts of sugar. Just like the video said when everyone purchased (demand) "low fat" because they thought fat was unhealthy.
I just threw out my coffee creamer after seeing this video and reading the ingredients: water, sugar, oil, less than 2% of some milk derivative. Its literally just oily sugar water with some flavors in it. I thought I was craving for coffee and the creamer made it taste better. But in reality I was craving for the sugar in the creamer.
I love my coffee creamer, and don't want to give it up, but when I realized how much sugar was in it, and how my usage of it had been climbing while I wasn't paying attention, I started putting limits on myself for how much I could use, with those limits growing gradually more and more strict. So far, I've almost doubled the amount of time it takes me to go through a bottle. Making progress.
@@Ray2311us if you mean intermittent fasting, then it follows a biological clock. About 8 hours is the minimum with more than 12 being the optimum. If you mean long period fasting, people will tell you 5-7 days. If you mean actual fasting, then it's 12 days minimum to upwards of a year depending on how well your body handles it and how much fat stores you have. It is usually ill-advised to fast for more than two weeks, but if you know how to stay healthy and make sure your body gets all of the vitamins and other essential particles, then it can absolutely be done without any health risks. Stored fat during a fast burns at an average rate of about 300 grams per day. If you're taller and have more muscle, you will burn more. If you're short and have little muscle you'll burn less. As a note, unless you're off of carbs, aka on a keto diet and fully in ketosis, fasting is hell, due to the hunger. But in ketosis, you don't really feel hunger the same way, and fasting isn't so psychologically demanding. Ask yourself how much extra fat you have on you. I weigh 68kg right now (was 78 when I started keto two months ago). I still have about 12 to go. 12 kg of fat is literally 40 days of fat. If I really wanted, I could, and should, fast for a month minimum to get back to my normal weight.
Thanks! It's hard to say.. script writing & video compiling alone is maybe 50+ hours? Not sure where to even start counting with the research since I'm going through so many books, audio books and lectures all the time.
Same. I cut refined sugar (as well as all junk food, gluten at this moment and non fermented soy) out of my diet 18 months ago and it has been one of the contributing factors that has allowed me to get off my anti-depressants after 10 years. Sugar is poison. Also you are right, out of curiosity I tried a bit of chocolate to see what it tastes like it now and it tastes awful. I didn't even finish it lol, I threw it out. It has helped me manage my pcos too without any need for medication.
I was raised eating low sugar, my mom never put much sugar on juice, she didn't let me drink soda frequently, we ate mostly stuff that she did instead of processed food, and I grew up (now I'm 19) and I was never able to eat an entire piece of chocolate cake, about half the way I start to feel sick of it because it's so sweet! I don't know how people do it! Same thing with chocolate bars, brigadeiros and so on. Also, I always feel the need to drink lots of water after I eat anything sweet, it makes me super thirsty.
I cut out virtually all refined sugar (and most carbs) recently and have seriously never felt better. I didn't eat a lot of sugar even before, but now that I've gotten rid of most of it, I really do notice a huge difference. More energy, clearer skin, leaner build, etc. So glad I made the switch.
I've cut out refined sugars (including free sugars such as honey, nectar, syrup, etc.) for about a month now and I've lost about 10lbs without even having to excercise:) Of course it also meant I had cut out any processed food as well, so my diet has become much cleaner and more nutrious. Honestly never felt better! It's crazy what sugar does to your energy and clear-headedness

Thierry Baudet I’m not sure who this poster got it from but I say google Chris Kresser...he’s a smart dude who does his research and recommends a basically Paleo style of eating, avoiding sugar and anything processed and artificial as well as gluten, soy and most legumes. I’ve been following his recommendations for about a year and a half and am in the best shape of my life and have almost completely recovered from 20+ years of depression, anxiety disorder and addiction
I fear that 80% is probably under estimating it. Almost anything that's processed has added sugar. Food makers play fast & loose with the many, many different names for sugar.
This explains some things, I hung out with a friend for 2 weeks who eats a lot of sugar, everyday she would make awesome food, all from scratch, all with high quality organic stuff. But all with sugar. Every meal with sugar. When I got back home, I had a melt down. When I realized I was freaking out because nothing in my kitchen contains sugar the mood swing ended but it took about a week for me not to be constantly thinking of pies and caramelized glazed roasts.
The more I realize and become aware of the real-time effects of Sugar on my body and mind the less I crave it. I've been noticing immensely decreased energy and willpower, increased irritability and lack of focus. I have ADHD but sugar makes it so much worse. I figured it was just the ADHD but after cutting back on sugar I was surprised how much better I felt. I wasn't just a sugar addict, I was a junkie. I couldn't live without eating sweets at least every single day. Cake, swiss rolls, chocolate, cinnamon rolls. I stopped eating them everyday. Withdrawal starts to kick in after a few days and I can't keep going, but at least I don't feel as horrible as I used to, and realizing I had a choice in it makes me more motivated to make more changes to my diet and lifestyle.
WAIT! You're saying that reducing your sugar intake gave you more energy and willpower? I have almost NO energy for anything so that would mean a great deal to me if you still belief in that statement of yours!
@@raffy234 I can attest to that, I always live my life being low energy, grumpy and fat, I cut obvious sugar pack foods, and replace soft drinks with plain water and cake and other sweets with more protein-rich food, now I have a lot of energy to exercise, a clearer mind and a great body shape! @Blake Belladonna According to the latest research aspartame is only harmful if you consume ridiculously unrealistic amounts of it. Definitely better than sugar.
@Blake Belladonna Sweeteners may not cause cancer, but they certainly do cause metabolic syndrome. The brain mistakes the sweet taste for large amounts of sugar and kcal,o insulin is released, without anything to digest.
Well if nothing else, aspartame tastes like diarrhea. It does metabolize into methanol/formaldehyde but I doubt anyone could stand the taste to eat enough for that to be a real issue
It all seems still quite complicated to me when it comes the health dangers.. it seems there other factors that can be taken into account... Eg. How active are you and are you having sugar around times you are stationary or doing medium/ high intensity physical activity? What percentage of your whole diet is sugar and how much are you having all up per day/ week? What times of the day are comsuming most of this sugar? Is it spread out your diet or eaten all at once? What types of food/ luiqid are you consuming when you have this sugar? Are you eating alot of fruit veg and whole foods most of the time? Then there's individual genetics and body types that come into play.... Overall not that simple
I've had a lot of experience with drugs (legal and illegal) but i never craved for that stuff as much as i did with sweets and especially chocolate.. and still I can't go a single day without eating something sweet. At least i drink only water and unsweetened tea or coffee and try to eat healthily in my other meals.

I was also very addicted to sugar but I really think if you can power through TWO WEEKS of NO sugar and NO refined carbohydrates, you will get rid of your addiction. That's what happened to me in less than two weeks actually, and my taste changed too. And I was especially addicted to chocolate. However the first thing I did was I went one day eating all the sugar I wanted and one day NO sugar whatsoever. I don't remember how long I did that for. But I did that for some time and THEM went all out with the sugar and carbohydrates fast. Basically I ate no added sugar, no bread, no pasta and I think no rice. I did eat potatoes here and there. Doing the one day off - one day on thing helped me psychologically, the thought that ONLY TOMORROW I will be able to eat whatever sweets I wanted helped me power through the no sugar days. I wish you all the best with quitting sugar if you still want to do that. :) I hope my tips help.

There are a lot of channels out there that give healthy recipes and instructions. You kinda have to do your own research and start cooking for yourself. Which is the kind of question you ask on a cooking channel. Not a 'What I've learned' channel.

"It's very rare that someone would drink beer or wine to the point that they [...] become seriously addicted to alcohol." - This is serious misinformation. While beer might not be that addictive due to its low alcohol content, wine is VERY addictive. In my country (a southern european one) there are many alcohol addicts, and most of them are primarily drinking wine. Also, you said "seriously addicted" - when it comes to alcohol, there is no such thing. You're either addicted (to it) or you're not. One might be a so called "weekend alcoholic", or one that drinks on a daily basis. Both forms of alcoholism are serious.
Lots of alcoholics in the U.S. prefer beer. Hell, they'll even drink cough syrup, rubbing alcohol, vanilla extract, etc. if they're addicted enough. I didn't understand why he said that statement at all.

With regards to addiction it is better to think of dopamine as a learning hormone rather than a "pleasure hormone". Dopamine is used by the brain to essentially put a bookmark in a page of your memory so you can quickly recall the section of material. It's what develops your cravings and causes the motivation to fulfill the desire for those cravings. The actual pleasure center of the brain in located is the nucleus accumbens. Dopamine interacts with a different portion of the brain; it is released by the ventral tegmental area and interacts with the prefrontal cortex. Say you are an ancient hunter/gatherer human strolling through the woods. You happen across a bush of raspberries and notice the bright colors and fresh smells coming off the fruit. You take a bite of one of the berries and find it to be delicious and sweet. The exhilaration of finding something so good and tasty causes the nucleus accumbens, the pleasure center, to go crazy. Dopamine is also released to put your brain into a high sensory perception state. This way you are able to fully process the environmental conditions that exist in the moment in and around finding and eating the raspberries. You subconsciously learn how to find raspberries again in the future. You might not consciously notice it but your brain made note of the vegetation around the bush, the amount of shade nearby, and the texture of the soil. Suddenly when you are out and about looking for food you start happening across raspberries with more frequency because you are drawn to those conditions time and time again. While dopamine is a great learning mechanism for finding food to stay alive in the wild it can become harmful when you brain develops an irrational craving for alcohol, drugs, or even sugar. Over stimulating your brain's pleasure center will cause the brain to produce CREB which signals the production of dynorphin, a natural painkiller. The dynorphin begins to inhibit the pleasure center and thus you no longer feel the same pleasure you did before when you ingest something. Thus, your tolerance levels begin to rise.
interesting information, but dopamine is still definitely a pleasure molecule. take meth, which is an intense dopamine reuptake inhibitor and dopamine releaser, for example. users experience insane euphoria from this drug
I’m 19 now and have taken significant strides to lower my sugar intake. Over the course of the two or three years I’ve been doing so I’ve gathered some tips to hopefully help others in cutting down, whether it be to look better or feel better (both will happen with effort). First, soda is your worst enemy. I used to drink 4-5 cans of soda a day, usually Mountain Dew, the most sugary soda available here at least. I was consuming close to 200 grams of sugar daily, about 4x the daily “recommendation” of sugar intake. First, Zevia is wonderful, it is a soda made with no artificial coloring and is sweetened with Stevia. A non-glycemic natural sweetener, it is completely keto and diabetic safe. Hint water is also amazing. It’s water infused with real fruit. It is unsweetened, however the fruit has a sweetness to it. It isn’t completely unsweetened because it isn’t made with extracts it concentrates. The bottle says 0g of carbs per bottle but it’s still worth precaution given there is fruit infused into the water itself. Lastly, BRUSH YOUR TEETH IN BETWEEN EVERY MEAL. Some will say it’s overkill, but any desire to eat is instantly shot away when you brush your teeth. It also keeps your teeth fresh and gingivitis free, which is another important factor when talking about sugar consumption. I still have soda and sweets every once in a while, but in moderation it leaves you with a much better chance of living a full and healthy life, and you will feel a hell of a lot better in the process.
I’ve consumed refined sugar since I was a baby (mom said once she gave me chocolate milk I wouldn’t accept a bottle of regular milk). I was overweight all my childhood and in my teens. I got painful, awful, cystic acne. I’d kill myself at the gym daily and see glacially slow results. I hated existing and I had no idea why. Then I watched this video at the beginning of the pandemic. It helped me change my skin, my body, and tbh my life. Thank you so much 💛
I read that, but I'm not sure there is any difference except the total grams of sugar you'll feel like consuming if it's added/concentrated or not (I liked the grapes/raisons example). I take your point, but this is a shopping tip or behavior advise rather than a real nutritional difference (I think). Thanks.
The worst thing is how many things are marketed as healthy by being "low fat" while having tons of much worse sugar. Fat in food isn't unhealthy, but the ignorant consumer who doesn't know any better correlates it with body fat.. I didn't have much problem giving up candy and soda, but bread was the hardest to give up. Now that I'm doing keto I notice how few foods that could easily be much healthier and taste great still with other sweeteners like stevia instead. So sometimes I'll just buy sugar free things and add stevia to sweeten. I think the food industry knows exactly what they're doing.. and might even be working with the healthcare industry (carbs are known to keep cancer alive) and the FDA to keep people from giving it up.
Fuck sugar. Went to a ketogenic diet about 3 weeks ago and so far have lost 24 lbs (about 80% of that is fat from too much sugar over the years). Felt horrible from withdrawals the first week and a half but have since felt wonderful. I have more energy, less body aches, and sleep much better now.

Thank you very much for this informative video! It makes sense that as people become more stressed: 2 parents working, working jobs doing more with less, no pensions, outsourcing, etc. that consuming sugar and lighting up the reward centers of the brain would be more desirable. Anything to get a few moments of relief.

Sugar withdrawal is honestly the worst feeling. Going through it for a week and trying to carry out life as usual was super difficult until the symptoms went away. Now I look back and think it’s crazy how much sugar I used to consume a day without even thinking twice.

I am a sugar addict and I am awere of it. (250~300g of milk chocolate a day). About a week ago I stoped eating sugar. I don't even put sugar into my coffe anymore, I don't eat chocolate I stoped drinking sodas. Man it is hard...
I was kinda dissapointed some time ago. I told my best friend I was going to try to never eat sweets again and she said "no exceptions? You should have at least some allowances or you will never be happy." It made me very uncomfortable and it's believable to me that there are massive nubers of people that are so addicted it's their main source of happiness
I cut 99% of sugar out of my diet. I literally have to look at the ingredients of every food I buy. I was addicted and now I'm breaking free. It's been very hard for me but if I don't do this I will never be happy with myself.

Fruits have sugars and you should eat those.
It sucks that sugar has to be in nearly everything. It makes it really hard to choose foods and it’s very detrimental for your health :(

I love my coffee creamer, and don't want to give it up, but when I realized how much sugar was in it, and how my usage of it had been climbing while I wasn't paying attention, I started putting limits on myself for how much I could use, with those limits growing gradually more and more strict. how long should I fast before each meal?

Took up the ketogenic lifestyle (which cuts out practically all sugars and carbs) about 5 years ago. I was a fat 5’10” and 245lbs with acid reflux among many other digestion problems. After the first year I dropped to a lean 180lbs with all my digestion issues completely gone! Arguably the best decision I’ve ever made for my health! Still going strong and as healthy as ever!
Another excellent video.

+What I've Learned hey i Wonder how could i change my diet into a healthy one and a delicious one... Im not a great Cook, but if you could give me some recipes i would be blessed. Hope you can reply.
There are a lot of channels out there that give healthy recipes and instructions. You kinda have to do your own research and start cooking for yourself. What you're asking for is way out of his pervue. This channel just isn't about what you're asking and you're asking them to do research for you and tell you how to eat. Which is the kind of question you ask on a cooking channel. Not a 'What I've learned' channel.
Take a recipe, cut the sugar, add fat, add some salt if bland, add spices.... eat.
@Gwen Ap Maannanan - totally agree w/u!! cooking 4 self and family is the ONLY real way to go.
I quit sugar a month ago and greasy snacks I've lost about 20 pounds, seriously.
When I begin a nice regimen of exercise, I may be awesomely healthy.

I developed extremely, excrucatingly painful neuropathy in my feet 10 to 15 years ago. It was caused from sugar. I was addicted. I have raisins instead now ,which still causes pain. So I have to keep that down too. Get off sugar whatever you do.

I cut sugar completely out of my diet a few weeks ago, and went low-carb/high-fat. No processed foods, no flour, no root veggies, no sugar. The only real effect was a little fatigue for the first week, but I'm totally over that now. And I was seriously addicted before, including baking my own bread and cookies every week. Just shows, it's easier to completely abstain than to just cut down some.
Yep, no more "cheat" meals that turn into "cheat" days.
I did basically the same thing. I lost 50 lbs and feel amazing, not just physically but mentally as well. I don't really call it a 'diet' because I don't plan on going back to my old food any time soon
I was a Pepsi addict few years back. I drank atleast 500ml everyday without fail for three months. One fine day I switched from Pepsi to chilled buttermilk to cold water. I lost 15 kgs in a few months. Guess all I wanted was something really cold to drink.

I don't even know how things like Weight Watchers works. It's all about cutting calories and not the sugar.
Something has to be wrong about the food supply because everybody's on a diet but nobody's losing weight.
Could you make an instructional video about reading labels?
well if you just want to now how much sugar is in there, just look for any word including and/or ending with: honey, syrop or nectar or words that end with "ose" (glucose, sucrose, fructose, dextrose) or the abvious ones: names containing the word sugar
In addition to what Niels Van Steen said, look for anything on the label containing "saccharides" mono or poly, look for anything containing molasses or honey, and also watch for how many grams of carbs are in something as an excess of carbs will be broken down and stored as glucose.
@@aaronsmith1023 what is considered an excess number of carbs?
@@brendawanjiku1145 it means all extra calories in a day that you eat but don't need to (mostly you will get them from carbs) will be stored in your body as glucose. That's why looking at products and getting ones with higher protein and lower carbs is important, as sugars are counted as carbs as well. Instead of a chocolate eat a fruit, eat a diet higher in protein and keep your fats moderate (up to 100g per day, again depends on how much calories you need). Just don't do some extreme diet for long periods of time, you'll bounce back and crave more food and binge on it and gain more weight than you lost in no time.
1. you take the labels
2. you read them
Yall ever think about the fact that they used to put cocaine in tons of stuff and thought it was fine....so like what if sugar Is the same thing. What I'd sugar is an illegal drug one day
"It's very rare that someone would drink beer or wine to the point that they [...] become seriously addicted to alcohol." - This is serious misinformation.
Take a look at the homeless in the UK. When they're not doing smack crack or spice they're drinking cider
Lots of alcoholics in the U.S. prefer beer. Hell, they'll even drink cough syrup, rubbing alcohol, vanilla extract, etc. if they're addicted enough. I didn't understand why he said that statement at all.
Why are your videos so informative. Argh my brain cannot handle the logic
Look up Veritasium channel and more specifically the "How should we teach science" video (and the one before). I love that Homer Simpson was the prime example of a sugar addict 😂
That would explain his obsession with donuts. I can't blame him though. Donuts are one of the most delicious things ever. My favorite dessert is ice cream, and it is a lot like that. Both foods have a lot of sugar and fat. This makes them tremendously delicious, but terribly unhealthy.

Easy! Walk in store...look at rows of aisles...skip them all. Go get some eggs...boil them..eat them when hungry. Simple.
I tell people white cane sugar is a drug and they look at me like I'm nuts
BroccoliQueefed well that’s cause it isn’t, it’s more of a trigger, cocaine is a drug, heroine is a drug, acetaminophen is a drug, the last one being Tylenol. The difference is that cocaine is the direct cause of what happens, while sugar is a developed response from biology or conditioning
I try to avoid all the white powders. Coke, Salt Sugar and White Flour!
@@thetruedarksoul168 Don't try to sugarcoat it, it's a drug.
ShineSpark sugarcoat it? In what way did I sugar coat it? Diabetes is caused by consuming too much sugar. You can fall asleep and never awake again because you had one too many candy bars. Your body constantly wants to have it and unless you have the will power you will always seek it. How is that sugar coating it??
@@ShineSpark88 what he means is drugs have a direct behavioral change as result of the chemical reaction effect in your brain such as how alcohol makes you tipsy to drunk. Sugar doesn't have effects like alcohol and other drugs your body expects sugar and has a natural reaction to it.

Can cutting back on sugars, only to have them once a week (or so) for use as a memory aid be viable?
interesting information, but dopamine is still definitely a pleasure molecule. take meth, which is an intense dopamine reuptake inhibitor and dopamine releaser, for example. users experience insane euphoria from this drug
HeftyJo Thank you. I like the way you put it. Clicked better hearing it this way.
SpeedyThingGoIn4 that's a fascinating idea! To maybe exploit it as an aid to memory.
How are u doing on ur journey?
I’ve consumed refined sugar since I was a baby (mom said once she gave me chocolate milk I wouldn’t accept a bottle of regular milk). I was overweight all my childhood and in my teens. I got painful, awful, cystic acne. I’d kill myself at the gym daily and see glacially slow results. I hated existing and I had no idea why. Then I watched this video at the beginning of the pandemic. It helped me change my skin, my body, and tbh my life. Thank you so much 💛

They need to add some sugar so you can't taste the quinoa and flax seeds in their products.

Can you mention the "difference" between natural sugar and added sugar in oyur next video?
Do you mean fiber? Otherwise there IS no difference. Ditto for starch. Amylase, my friend, amylase...
Michelle Eden
Yes there is no real difference but what i meant is this: thatsugarfilm.com/blog/2015/03/16/added-sugar-vs-natural-sugar/
I read that, but I'm not sure there is any difference except the total grams of sugar you'll feel like consuming if it's added/concentrated or not (I liked the grapes/raisons example). I take your point, but this is a shopping tip or behavior advise rather than a real nutritional difference (I think). Thanks.
Your health information videos are amazing. I learned a lot .

Excellent, really direct informative. Thank you
The worst thing is how many things are marketed as healthy by being "low fat" while having tons of much worse sugar.
That is exactly what is going on. Our government is in business with all those mentioned.
If just a couple of knuckleheads on the internet can figure that much out, imagine what multi-million dollar or more industries can figure out...

Thank you very much for this informative video! It makes sense that as people become more stressed: 2 parents working, working jobs doing more with less, no pensions, outsourcing, etc. that consuming sugar and lighting up the reward centers of the brain would be more desirable.
