I agree with everything!!! Something else that I would add to the game would be the option to create different wardrobes (like The Sims 2 Castaway) created with different elements, including protecting us from the sun or the cold. Manual creation skill that unlocks new recipes or changing colors with floral pigments... There are so many options to improve. Speaking of clothes, my girl in the entire game wearing jeans and heels...
That would be pretty neat to have too but then I would want to have some options for color for the raft and house too hehe. There's a ton of possibilities for sure! Definitely something to protect from the sun would be dope. Cheers 😁
Yes, more variety of what's already there. I played through twice. Once normal, and once with a No Raft challenge. Not interested in playing again, but would gladly play a new improved version. Especially want deeper base building. Coming from years of playing 7 Days to Die, that's what I miss most.
I hear ya on that for sure. NBG published 7 Days to Die and also the return to moria game so I would think they'll be including some upgraded base building features. Hopefully lol 😆
i like the no map type of thing in stranded deep, having to draw and name islands on a real life peice of paper was so very unique. for example- "I'm on 'big pine tree island' so i need to go west if i want to go home"
I definitely see your point and can agree on that aspect! I'm thinking I'd have a no map game mode and an achievement or something special locked behind completing a game in that mode. Kind of like the no compass achievement! Honestly though I feel like if they did not include some sort of in game map this time around, some of the player base would probably be pretty disappointed about that. Idk I just come back to the have both ways in the game lol. Good point, thanks for commenting!
Stranded Deep is by far my favorite survival game. And even though the coop was buggy, it was still fun. I agree with everything you said. Especially not "changing" the game but build on it. The crafting, storage, building, cooking, etc. are probably the best I've seen in a game. But it would be awesome if they enhanced it with more options. The beauty of SD is it's not too realistic. It had the right balance of survival and fun. The modding community has done some great things for this game as well. I hope the developers look at their creations too. But my favorite aspect of SD is the base building and raft designing. I think that building something more than just a flat raft would be interesting. Maybe implement a raft building skill level that allows you to build more intricate and appealing boats like a skiff or schooner. One that could be a mobile base with tons of room for storage, cooking, sleeping. There are so many things they can do, I hope they knock it out of the park!
Definitely! It sounds like you and I have a lot of the same thought process. I'm excited to see what happens and really hope they come up with some cool improvements! Appreciate the response! 😎
I absolutely love how you made this video! I hope that they look at this because it would be so awesome if we could make a house raft, be able to make a fire on the raft , have a bigger back pack also I would like to be able to use the labeler when u play online also everything else u said in the video was what I was thinking. I love your videos 🎉please keep ‘em coming!
Thank you much! Yeah that would be super cool to have a house boat. I have high hopes for the next game. They really need to get the online working proper if they try to make it multi-player. Thanks for watching 😁
Sharpie stated things very well and provided a lot of good ideas. We know all of these changes are probably beyond the scope of a remake, but the one thing I agree with most is his comment about the story line in SD1 seeming like it was just bolted on after the fact. When I did the first playthrough, I left thinking of all the opportunities missed in story line development that would have been very simply to implement, yet would have made a huge difference in the game's overall appeal.
Agreed! A solid story would go a long way! Yeah most of the ideas mentioned are really just brainstorming stuff but who knows. Thanks for watching and appreciate the compliment! Cheers 😎
Nice one sharpie. Definitely agree with most, especially the raft building and features would be great to improve. One thing I personally don't want is other humans, so no tribes or traders. Not sure why but that's something I like about SD, completely on ur own with just wildlife as the dangers.
Indeed! Thanks for the clip BTW 😎 and yeah honestly I'm right there with ya on that. After thinking about it more and more it feels like other humans in game would kind of kill the stranded feel that is so apparent throughout the first one. Thanks bud! 😁
How's this for a feature? It's a fact that the amount of resources in the game is finite, which means that if one chose to keep going, one would eventually run out of resources. To stop this from happening, I've come up with a solution that I call "Low Tide." In reality, the sea shifts from high tide to low tide and back twice in a period of twenty-four hours, and when going from high tide to low tide, all manner of objects are left behind on the beaches. The in-game function "Low Tide" would do just this, leaving small amounts of resources on the shoreline of your island. This way, players have potentially unlimited resources but not to the point where they're drowning in them. Usually, players will find sticks, rocks and palm fronds along the shoreline (and perhaps plastic if it's added) but sometimes they'd find coconuts, cloth, planks and scrap. On rare occasions, there might be a single buoy ball or tire or barrel, and on very rare occasions (1 chance in 100), there could be a crate stuffed with anything that appears in the crates found in wrecks.
@@ToasterFrog-dv6wk that sounds like a great way to approach having new materials spawn! Makes perfect sense and it's very immersive, much like debris from a storm another was mentioning! I would imagine that finding some old loot and materials from caches left by rum runners back in the jack sparrow days. I wouldn't want to see stuff just spawning everywhere and have there be zero sense of scarcity but like you said we also need a way for new stuff to 'spawn'. Thanks for the awesome food for thought 😀
I love survival games (stranded deep, raft, green hell especially). But I hate how quickly tools break. It would be nice to see how damaged a tool was and make it repairable with just a new leather strand or rock. Would be great to find rare items on ship wrecks like a real axe or hammer which would be almost unbreakable, maybe just needing to be sharpened occasionally.
Yeah good point, the tools durability could use a boost. Something along the line like you said of a special item. Would certainly help instead of carrying 4 axes with at a time 😅
Different weather with like High winds sometimes that could blow away unsecured items. Maybe some snow or seasons type of thing. Dope vid hope they listen!
Yeah I wanna see some intense storms happen! Like tropical depression stuff and structural damage. Thank you for watching! Looking forward to more info to come out. 😀
Resources like rocks and sticks should not be so limited. There needs to be a good reason for not being able to cut down a tree. ( Even a stone ax or fire would be able to topple one IRL.) Storms should wash things up on shore. (At the moment they are only something to look at, unless you're at sea.) Wild fruits and vegetables should pop up with the seasons. I would like seasons! I get it that these are tropical islands. There is no reason for that to be carved in stone.
I could see that for sure, but I feel like that a reach for the majority of players 😅 - I could be wrong tho! some variation in the temp and weather could be cool over time. The storm debris idea is brilliant!
2 things: I agree on everything-great video, and second - developers need to make shelter without rain inside, also sound coming from the outside to be little bit muffled, based on type of the shelter. When I see rain inside of a house made of bricks, I instantly lose that cozy filling and it reminds me it is just a game, and it disrupts the feeling of parallel life... Thanks!
Awesome thanks for watching! That's a good point and would add a lot of immersion. I remember in SotF when it would snow and the floor panels inside your buildings would get covered in snow and was just a bad look.
Can u tell me why l can’t place my water still anywhere else but the ground everytime I build a home l have to put my water still outside on the sand or grass
Yeah that is how the still is supposed to be as far as I know. I haven't been able to place one inside either. Certain workstations you can, like the furnace of all things haha but not the water still ☹️
I'd like to be able catch big fish and tow them back to HQ and i haven't found any reliable to accomplish this. Some kind of tow hitch and hook. It can slow down travel speed. Either something you learn to craft or a new boss with these tools in it's gullet.
That would be dope. A tow system in general would be a cool concept. maybe it requires gas powered propulsion so would be a mid game tech. they could do so much with the fishing overall!
Spot on! Yeah the combat definitely needs a lot of improvement in the way of handling and I would like to see a couple more options than just spears and bows. I know there's a machete if you start with a starter box but I've never done that hahaha. Yes being able to break free would also be nice! We can hope! Thanks 😁
Hell yeah! Those rocks quickly become more valuable than gold if you're on a long play through. I think the majority of rocks in an environment should be able to be gathered. It's dumb walking around a rock island and not being able to gather any rocks is just silly to me haha same with sticks and that type of stuff.
The islands looked bigger and better around 2:30.. like there were more islands what happen I have series x there’s no way like these sick ass islands aren’t in the game
Instead of going with the islands idea seeing as the game is called stranded deep you could be dumped in the middle of a hostile jungle or a desert or the Antarctic, I hope stranded deep 2 isn’t just the same tropical islands with pretty graphics and some new plants and animals
The game is said to start the same way.. on an an airplane crashed again.. I even heard that every island is going to have a unique feel .. I heard the island mountains will be back as well.. they’ll have caves and new loot I heard gun powered is a thought of item.. the ship recks will be all different.. I heard pirates and loot like that was talked about it early development but so much changed with in the past 2 years
Honestly this sounds like you're describing a completely different game.. something along the lines of project castaway or something. I dont think the game has been in development for much more than 6 months let alone 2 years. Can you tell me where you heard this info cause id certainly like to follow up on it. cheers!
@ info was said to be scrapped development as I said, and wow hello there! Oh and ya btw it’s in the Pacific Ocean the game literally is said the start the same way! They mountain islands from the first game? U know the one with Hogs and shit ya there back like I said but different, cave terrain and other Reddit page over a year ago, I don’t give a fuck, don’t you understand that games get drawn out, and talk to on paper before anything ? No you don’t u wanna accuse some one that never seen ur channel before go ahead!😂 you ain’t any better, of course shit gonna get cut! Pirates themed islands and other loot like guns “WAS” said to be talk about but didint fit the game but look your ass said it ur self so no shit it ain’t the game, you think just because a game just now said shit a few months ago u don’t think they havnt worked on it since before talked? Good thing I went to school for this and Not YT🚑 shit the game been out since god knows how long
Just saw that sd2 news that’s awesome can’t wait loved the first one keep up the good work with the videos hope the devs are watching you have a lot of great ideas and I agree 1000 percent about the house boat idea that would be mint keep up the good work
Yeah I'm super excited about SD2! Thank you for the kind words, yeah it would be cool to be able to provide them feedback. I filled out the form they released today asking about feedback. Glad you enjoy the videos and ill be having updates as soon as more develop.
Oh and improve the gameplay on the consoles to the exact game play like the pc, the pc version has so much more to do and explore than the xbox for example, the console versions need updates as much as the pc versions.
Yeah I feel.like this is an issue across a bunch of games haha *cough sons of the forest cough* but the temperature would be cool. I guess they have the UV for overheating already but maybe at night it gets cold especially if it's raining thru the ceiling of your shelter lol
Also agree on this, I hope it's more closely a 1 to 1 port because right now they are very different in a lot of ways. Plus the controls for the console version look super clunky from what I've seen.
i think more than anything the game needs a far better combat system. i didn't enjoy having to place myself in the right spot to have to throw 20 spears at a shark before it died. same with the crabs and boars. crafting a combat knife to strike the shark rapidly for more damage at the risk of being eaten would be fun. cracking a giant rock over a sleeping boar, or maybe a sea lion or a saltwater crocodile. maybe you could set small crabs on fire as they are walking around. and maybe the crabs should be able to jump and bite you. the game is fun to explore but it has no depth because the means to the ends is to craft but it shouldn't be that way its should have depth in all facets. maybe they could implement treasure that is hidden throughout the map. special weapons, a glass bottle with a message but in actually it increases your sailspeed by 10% capturing a golden gecko or golden eel improves how much resources you get from a clay rock or whatever. i hope the game is awesome and lives up to the hype!!!!!
You raise some good points and ideas for sure! I like where you're going with the combat stuff and also the treasure for perks/buffs would be a lot of fun. It definitely could use some more depth in the game. Speaking of which, it would be cool to have to find a set of scuba gear and dive down to some deep wrecks for key items or something. Thanks for watching! 😎
Never would've thought out of all games this one would get a sequel. I pretty much thought this game was dead dev wise. Its a niche survival game that doesn't lean into wacky apocalyptic vibes or some crazy Lovecraftian mood. There is some suspension of disbelief with the giant crabs and of course the bosses..but it really nails that niche of just "Cast Away". This aint some crazy alien world like subnautica with advance tech. This is just straight up cast away. Its boring and dull, its about surviving the elements and exposure not wacky aliens. Thats what i really like about SD. SD is set presumably in the pacific which is perfect but as someone who lives on the gulf coast, seeing the Caribbean setting would really be nice.
I agree I hope stranded deep 2 is listening add character customization and finding luggage from crashes, vary the animals especially snakes allow us to us harvest pision to craft poision arrows to kill animals faster. If you want your game to have longevity like he said include a way to domesticated animals More decorations ideas for houses and furniture because we want our long hours of game play to show development we should be able to sit and write journals or read journals of how our surviver is feeling it should be personal and unique to each players experience. Like today I broke my leg I have to be more care on the plus side I found alot of food today.yum.
Indeed! I definitely want to see some more variety in the wildlife. We could also maybe gather a special plant that we could make poison arrows with too. It'll be interesting to see if they go for a longevity approach or if they're going for a your only goal I'd to escape quickly approach. 🤔 Some more functional decorations would be nice too like furniture we can actually use 😁
@Sharpie360 yes I agree with you. That would make the plants more interesting. They can also add more fruits, some that make you sick pushing you to learn your environment. I feel like people don't give stranded deep the love it deserves. In island customization I want a way to create Waterfalls and source of water on different levels. Light houses dolphins, monkeys, lizards, pythons, canable tribes etc. Npc survivers begging to join u that can help or hamper u. You leave them to do tedious task like add wood to fire, or refilling the water still. If u escape choose to go back for others or escape alone
The main thing I dislike about this game is the fact that you have to unlock sertant things even when you already have it like a metal wall and the fact that building a base, if u don't stay on that island you'll most likely loose yur home and get lost or just get bored staying on the same island. It should have an icon letting you know where your base is or give u the ability to move it, plus maybe a cave system like the forest.
No doubt! That's definitely some fair criticism and I have had similar thoughts at times but I just end up screenshoting the map and using the compass and that seems to help a bit but I do get lost every now and again so a compass marker would be very nice to have. It would also be cool to have some caves and stuff to explore both on land and underwater
I want to see sharks eating something other than people. Do these sharks fast until the guy goes swimming. A shark should not be able to flip over a big raft unless it's a big shark.
Good point! Having some larger schools of fish and birds for the sharks to hunt would be cool for immersion and you would have to take advantage of those instances to get a kill shot on the shark or pelt it with arrows or spears again. I haven't had any trouble with sharks flipping my big rafts but I really think the sharks should damage the sections and break them over a number of hits, like the raft sections could just degrade over time in general and stuff like storms and shark hits would just ramp that up massively. Hmm. Thanks for commenting!
Id have to agree with you on that one! And it kind of becomes stale after the first few island encounters and you realize that this is pretty much it lol
Personally I have lost faith in game devs or rather publishers etc so I think SD2 is gonna be just like kind of a "remake" of their original game e.g CS:GO > CS2 with a few changes here and there... but still, curious to see what they have in store...
Cheers 😁

How's this for a feature?
It's a fact that the amount of resources in the game is finite, which means that if one chose to keep going, one would eventually run out of resources. To stop this from happening, I've come up with a solution that I call "Low Tide."
In reality, the sea shifts from high tide to low tide and back twice in a period of twenty-four hours, and when going from high tide to low tide, all manner of objects are left behind on the beaches.
Hey no problem! Glad you found it! And yes, me too, super excited for more on this! 😁
The lawddd heard my prayer. Stranded deep 2 is coming 😱🥹
Tis a glorious but of news indeed! 🙏
Stranded Deep 2 needs to bring back the bug where you can turn your raft by walking into one of your masts from the front 😂

crafting a combat knife to strike the shark rapidly for more damage at the risk of being eaten would be fun. cracking a giant rock over a sleeping boar, or maybe a sea lion or a saltwater crocodile. maybe you could set small crabs on fire as they are walking around. and maybe the crabs should be able to jump and bite you.
the game is fun to explore but it has no depth because the means to the ends is to craft but it shouldn't be that way its should have depth in all facets.
maybe they could implement treasure that is hidden throughout the map. special weapons, a glass bottle with a message but in actually it increases your sailspeed by 10% capturing a golden gecko or golden eel improves how much resources you get from a clay rock or whatever.
i hope the game is awesome and lives up to the hype!!!!!
there is a SD2 in the making?
Yeah! Announced about 2 months ago now. No details on basically anything yet but it is confirmed to be coming. 🙌
Lightening should be a danger on land!
That would be dope! And the raft too, it could get struck and start on fire! 😵
Very well said, my friend! I think you nailed it on the head as to what draws a ton of the players to this game. 👏
I agree I hope stranded deep 2 is listening add character customization and finding luggage from crashes, vary the animals especially snakes allow us to us harvest pision to craft poision arrows to kill animals faster.
If you want your game to have longevity like he said include a way to domesticated animals
More decorations ideas for houses and furniture because we want our long hours of game play to show development we should be able to sit and write journals or read journals of how our surviver is feeling it should be personal and unique to each players experience.
Some more functional decorations would be nice too like furniture we can actually use 😁
@aaliyahcarrington very well said. Some good ideas in there for sure and yeah it seems there's a big spectrum of what people are hoping for in SD2.
It would also be cool to have some caves and stuff to explore both on land and underwater
all i want is the game will allow more players in multiplayer mode
Agreed! 4 player at least.
And I totally agree
@@bjornborges9858 cheers to that!
Bigger. Islands.
I love SD1 but i cant play it a lot, the small islands just annoy me and i cant work with them properly :/
No doubt. That's definitely fair and only time will tell. I hope it's not just a remake but also not a completely different game.

🙏🙏🙏😎😎😎🥳
You want to much.
Just make a whole new game. It's called stranded.
You must not have watched til the end. 🤗
