Kimbra is an ARTIST that I’ve had my eye and ear to for quite some time. The sounds that she puts out in her collaborations and even on her own are brilliant! And as you like to say, diamonds in my ears! Great view!
This is one of my all time favorite Kimbra pieces, and I’m a loooongterm fan of hers. This performance is such a journey. Thanks so much for sharing her art ♥️
Wow! This is pretty sweet jam. I really love the personality coming from her. I liked this a lot! Gonna do some diving in Kimbra, she makes my ears very happy. Thanks for this amazing request, and Harri thanks for reacting to this. I love discovering new artists, and this is a great find. P.S. Harri I think quirky is maybe the right word your looking for.
Her entire discography is just so amazing and interesting. If you look up her live performances, no one performance is the same. she loves to switch up her sound in studio and live; really top notch artist.
@@HarriBestReactions check out the live version of "Somebody" and you'll see Kimbra doing that hand thing when she sings. ua-cam.com/video/6YzGOq42zLk/v-deo.html
go see her perform in person, if you can. i was fortunate to have done that last year, standing about 10ft in front of her, and the sound coming out of that little lady is mind-blowing.
Extraordinary!! So creative and unique. I was enthralled already with just her voice. The looper pedal(?) opens up possibilities, and I love hearing what a fertile imagination and a strong personal vision can do with any tool, any set of restrictions, any array of possibilities. Very eager to hear more. Inspired and inspiring.
Love the approach. Reminds me a little of Laurie Anderson. Also the irish girl who won the Voice years back. Leah Mcfall who is also amazing. Big up Harri 🤎
One of her more interesting songs is "Settle Down" which pokes fun at the "traditional" role of wife as homemaker and mother. ua-cam.com/video/yHV04eSGzAA/v-deo.html The video is kind mesmerizing to watch.
Plain Gold Ring was originally written and performed by Nina Simone. Kimbra said that she was introduced to the song by a producer she was working with and was so moved by Nina's performance of it that she decided to cover it. She has several different interpretations of the song that she performed at different times. The 'Sing Sing' version is my favorite. Kimbra has a Gold Mine of awesome material.
Kimbra is such an underrated vocalist. Not just her voice but her vocal arrangements are insane

Prince loved her too

Oh my...this is ... amazing... beautiful... I have heard of Kimbra...but the way she sings is... different..she is fully involved..hands and all..
She is very different and very ingenious. This whole album is a MUST LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love her so much. I got into her when somebody I used to know came out and I did a deep dive into her stuff. She is so talented.
Hi Harry -- Kimbra is the female in the Goyte music video "Somebody that I used to Know" that you reacted to a few months back
Wow

It makes me so sad that she's so underrated! She absolutely masters every genre she touches!
Beautiful reaction.

I love Settle Down. Kimbra is fierce!
Kimbra was the first artist i ever really got into she was just my style and still is and shes unlike anything if ever scene in my life
Never heard of her before. Awesome!
If you wanna have a real chill time stream live performances from Kinbra and Yebba... so gorgeous
She gives me a female version of Robert Plant. ✨❤️✨
I always considered this song as "untouchable," but Kimbra did a fine job with it. Never heard of her before, but I liked what I heard.
It's interesting how she is sampling in one mic and singing in the other mic. Takes talent to get it right.
That was brilliant the song was written by Jack Hammer and first recorded and released by Kitty White
Good stuff. Check out her song “Good Intent” - 2011.
I don’t think she has done a studio version of this. Love the loop machine
She did. It's on Vows, but this is better.
Kimbra sings with Gotye on his song Somebody I Used To Know.
Damn. Beyond fetch. The ginchiest.
I think the influencer is Bjork.
She's a very unique artist. Check out "Good Intent" here: ua-cam.com/video/5XjNlpe7hII/v-deo.html
Shes really a musicians musician. More interested in persuing what sounds good to her rather than following the pop formula.
