I think they look at him more as an anomaly. Like they are amazed at his age and how adult he is that it makes them laugh not at him but at the questions he's asked, like did he know the comic when the other two know how much of a nerd he is about it and when he said he was lucky to get the role i think that they were laughing a bit because literally NO one else could have done what he did so what competition could he possibly have? I think teenagers feel like older people are laughing at them when they really aren't too because you feel so insecure at that age.

I’m not a huge fan of Ellen Page but I’ve really felt for her in these interviews. You can tell she’s nervous and she doesn’t like her experience with this show being compared to X-Men (seriously stop asking her that) but 0:48 was so CUTE!!
