Physical Activity Games for Kids: Flying Saucer Throw

Get creative and see how many times you can throw your planet in the basket!
• Materials
o Paper plates
o Non-toxic paint
o Paint brushes
o Basket
• Step 1: Paint a fun design on the back of a paper plate
o Encourage kids to create a space scene
o Planets, meteors and stars are great suggestions
• Step 2: Place a basket in the middle of the space
• Step 3: Turn on music and call out a movement
o “Skip around the basket!”
• Step 4: Pause the music, and ask kids to toss their flying saucers into the basket
• Step 5: Kids pick up their flying saucer and repeat with new movements
o “Gallop around the basket!”
• Keep going and get creative
