Hello "ELMET 🚫 WOOOOPS! I mean SIMON!!! WOW nice presentation ! I caught the tail-end of Brother Brian's livestream the other day, but I had missed almost all of it, nut I saw that You were on there!!!!! Thanks!!!! 👍
P.S. - that Paul Desmond was a no- brained. That's a keeper in my opinion. Got a Howlin Wolf LP on the Chess label for £1 recently - on Discogs from £50 - ,£200. Am keeping my copy.
You can find some really great finds for a few quid from time to time, no all of them rush off to Ebay to guess a price, yes some cost the earth and often well overpriced but theres a lot that go under the radar always worth a look in my opinion as you never know what hidden gem is in amongst the typical James Last's, the Herb Alpert's and k-tel comps
A really eclectic selection. 'Common Dreads' is by Enter Shikari. It's a classic of the genre ... I liked Paul McCartney 'Put It There', The Feeling 'Jon With Us' (I have a double CD version of this), The Beach Boys' 'Icon' (I bought this last week for a few pence; budget packaging but a really interesting compilation - not just the usual suspects) ... What label is the Paul Desmond CD box set on? It's a pity the box is a bit bashed, but that was quite a buy.
Paul Desmond is on the Mosaic Records label it was a limited release of 7500 I believe there is a Vinyl 4 lp set set made as well, there are currently no copies of it on Ebay at the moment, box is a little worn but everything inside is mint inc a booklet, thanks for watching carl
@@vinyldale The packaging looked familiar. I've just dug out a 7 CD box set called 'The Complete Verve Tal Farlow Sessions' on Mosaic Records. Limited edition of 10,000. I suspect they will have struggled to sell that many copies.
That Ocean colour scene cd was before they copied their 60s clichéd sound that made them big so it's quite interesting to hear IMO. Yesterday I found zero vinyl but in a 90s CD styléé old skool picked up the debut vanilla ice cd for 25p! Certainly an interesting listen I think the bass on my car has needed the cobwebs blowing out......
Cd's are cool. never heard of that 2nd group take that or is that the name of an album? that album or band we became romans your looking at 1.5 stars would be my guess? some newer music escape the Fayte , Five finger death punch , Asking Alexandra , Linkin Park , Arrested Development , Methods of Mayhem , that Geoffrey Gurumul sounds nice. I think you mean re released albums? I think Overkill is in the Thrash metal category like Megadeth, Anthrax , Metallica , Slayer seperate from hard rock like Ac/dc, Bon Jovi , Rush , Van Halen, and Aerosmith unless Overkill changed there format ? alot of cd's .
@@vinyldale Do you know where that City is I think it's one of the less famous city's it was the city that was playing Manchester City not Manchester United? we got the game on The YES network since the Yankees season is over. do you know where that City is? It's Crystal place? have you ever heard of it? is it a big city like Chicago and La or a smaller city like Kansas City? is it area that gets alot of snow or about the same as London or a warmer area? is it North of Manchester or south ?
Hi Simon!! cool stuff of "heavy rock", lots of modern type of metal, not really my cup of tea, not a huge fan of the way newer bands chose to sound this days..... to me the jewel of those one is Saxon, great band!!! I also own Clapton's "From the Cradle" cool compilation of old blues songs, nice to see Overkill (one i whish i could find for that price!!!!). Great deal with those compilations. Cheers and be well

Oh nice find 👍
Some great finds there. I found 19 and 25 for £2 each in my local 24 hour Asda a few months ago. Great bargain with the boxset at the end.
I'm a little late to the party with those adele albums but know the singles well, that boxset was great little find, thanks for watching
Some nice stuff you have there. The Beloved album is good, as is Stereo MC,s. Charity shops continue to throw up great stuff from time to time.

@@vinyldale let's put it this way. I wasn't so keen on him at the time but I think now I'm up for it particularly at 25pence.
