I appreciate you immensely, Kenan. Been watching for a few months and realized I haven’t thanked you for all this awesome content. Look up to you a lot and am grateful for what you do.
The Torts called. They wanted to lodge a complaint against their landlord re noise, sparks flying into their place, excess dust and debris as well as smell. Oh yeah, the mentioned you let a known predator move in and are concerned for their families. 🤣🤣 But seriously, well done! It looks great👍👍
So sorry the Eastern Diamond Back lost his or her life. Slinky did not waste a life, good choice. Buttercup's new enclosure is soooo much work. The landscape timber shelf with climbing posts is clever. Love the way you imagine something and follow through to make it a reality. When Buttercut entered her new enclosure she must have thought she was out side. She took her squirrel right after moving, what a super snake!
WOW awesum video the enclosure is fantastic congratulations Princess Buttercup shes going to be so happy thanks so much for sharing always look forward to seeing your videos Kenan 🐍❤️
Thanks Kenan for being the guinea pig and showing us how to build nice enclosures for reptiles, I my self once I have earned the money for a property of my own plan on keeping a REASONABLE amount of critters. Thanks for helping me dream.
I have several health problems and watching your videos gives me peace and happiness which I hardly ever receive thank you for that looking forward daily to your next videos also your such a hard worker its awesome! Congratulations your so blessed! Thank you for sharing your life such a joy to watch!
I’d love to see more footage of her exploring the whole enclosure. The ramps look really steep. I would also add some moss, vines and foliage to really make it home.
I love how she was so big in her old enclosure and ahe looks so tiny in her new enclosure!! I absolutely love it. Great job Kenan!! Can't wait for her to settle in.
Ah yes the infamous tale of the lost miners who stumbled across an old Mayan ruin in the search for gold. In their mindless greed for treasure they discovered the true golden gem in the mine "A yellow serpent!" the miners cried. The golden snake drove the miners from the jungle with fear in their hearts, vowing never to dig for gold again! It's name... Buttercup!
buttercup is so beautiful and finally got her enclosure to slither around and enjoy the outdoor slither around the branches... it look awesome... great jon ken kamp now u should add her a pond so she can swim in it too
That's like the four seasons penthouse for buttercup!! She'll love it, only thing that would make it better would be some live plants & maybe live tree or bushes
Could you have tried spraying various sized planks of wood with spray foam to make paneling? Or to make fake rock shelves? If they make weather resistant foam you could try spraying the panels you line the bottom of other enclosures to give them a stone look. Would also be interesting to put up a decal on the wall of the snakes natural habitat. Using plants or colors from each animals natural locale or trees and flowers endemic to their home land would make for a nice botanical garden added to the santuary. Could add name plates and everything for the flowers and fruit and vegetation from the animals' native homelands. Seems like alot of extra work, i know, but since trees and plants take a while to get established you could start small with a few in pots to see how it works. Love all the bromeliads and plants you have added around!
The new enclosure is awesome, buttercup will be much happier there once she settles in which she will do in no time! Actually because of the space you have you could of made an outside section for her. Most unfortunate for the rattle snake but at least slinky made sure it didn't go to waste.
I wewd paint a sky to contrast the dark. Add a tree Branch, big from ground to shelf, something to really climb on. But make it practical. Nice Job...👍👍
Best build yet Kenan. That snake will be so happy to stretch out in the enclosure and the looks of the enclosure are awesome. That shed is truly a Reptile House.
The jump cuts in this video were amazing, and I have to say... I can't believe you would dare disturb the Princess of the Mine from her slumber. What a brave soul you must be to enter her lair at risk of her ferocious- sweetness, and gentle heart. A beautiful enclosure for a beautiful snake :)
What an amazing act of love for Buttercup!💛 We wouldn’t expect anything less, from the yet to be Knighted, “Sir Kenan, the Ruler, Keeper and Animal-Servant of THE KAMP”!👑 A man who lives with so much Love, Respect, and Honor for not only his, but all animals! God Bless thee, Kenan! 😇🙏
i can not quite understand how wonderful it must be to watch over such a beautiful reptile. she is amazing, and deserves everything that your providing her , great content today could not keep my eyes off of the screen.
Wow amazing upgrade for Buttercup! And I'm sorry aboutcthe rattle snake just by seeing the body while slinky was eating you can tell that it was an amazing looking snake and a very good size snake. I totally agree with you if you see a snake leave it alone, if you want it off your property call the right people to remove it and just keep an eye on said snake until the ppl show up to remove it.
Aw man Kenan, you are one of the kindest guys I've watched on youtube, when you were talking about the rattlesnake. I entirely agree with you though, and it is really sad I know you probably have seen less of them and there's no question why. The only thing we can do is continue to educate people to not hurt an animal they fear, just leave it alone or learn to scare it off/remove it safely. It's always possible to do this without killing the animal. Also you remind me of Jack Black and it's hilarious. FANTASTIC video, so much hard work put into it and I'm not even done watching it but so far her enclosure looks stellar. Buttercup definitely loves this new enclosure you made for her.
I think it was fair for the snake to die. I'd rather it be dead then it possibly hurting me or my dogs even if the chance is small. This is comming from someone who was bitten by a venmous snake. The pain is immeasurable and if a dog gets bit they are usually put down.
@@tagrisaj3344 can't agree with that on some species. Dogs can be taken inside, and eastern diamondbacks (which that was) are nearing endangered status and really should be federally protected at this point. If you live in an area with rattlesnakes and care about your dogs, you'll train them well enough to obey a 'come' command even if there's a snake they're interested in.
Tagris AJ if I’m not mistaken, Kenan followed up in another video that one the dogs was bitten and did die (probably that’s when the man shot the snake). I’m not saying it’s okay in all circumstances and in most cases the snakes should be left alone and allowed to move through the area. Dogs are also unpredictable and the most well trained dogs may not always listen to simple commands they know. When I was younger and lived in Naples (FL), we came home from church one day (my dad, my brother and I - my mom was out of town) and our dog was barking like crazy at the couch. She never barked unless someone was approaching the house (she was very protective), my dad walked over and pulled her away and moved the couch away from the wall. He noticed a snake and then placed the dog in a room and put my brother and I up on the bar counter in the kitchen. He then carefully pulled the couch back more and noticed not one but two snakes. Then he noticed what kind of snakes they were and called 911 (as he didn’t know who else to call - this was back in the early 90s around 1992 maybe early 1993). Two cottonmouths had managed to make their way into the house while we were gone. If it weren’t for our dog we wouldn’t have known they were there. The snakes were killed after being removed from the house. Nowadays my dad just lets snakes be (never had one in the house again - but we also moved to MD not long after that because of my parents job). I’m back in FL and a few years ago I spotted a young snake near the front door (my aunt stepped over it without even realizing) and tried to identify it. By the time I was able to figure out that it was a harmless water snake, it had slithered off never to be seen again. I will try to let most animals be when I can. I don’t encounter too many snakes where I live - lots of lizards and frogs though. I was actually bitten by a black snake when I was in college; I wasn’t paying attention where is was walking and stepped on it accidentally while it was basking. I didn’t freak out because I knew what kind of snake it was but everyone else who saw what happened were freaking out. Public safety even came out and asked where the snake went. I was also pulled out of class to make sure I didn’t need medical attention 🤦🏻♀️. They were still persistent even after I told them it was a harmless black snake and I knew what to look out for in case it had actually been a venomous snake (there are no venomous snakes in KY that resemble a black snake that I am aware of). It was like a needle prick and barely drew blood - snake didn’t have long enough for a full bite since my reflex was to kick... the snake was fine and slithered away up into a drainage pipe.
@@CelticStar87 I remember one time there was a red bellied black snake in my fenced off pool area (they are venomous but rarely bite and also the pool area had areas very well suited for animals) my dog whose father was a hunting dog did the pointed at the dog and I noticed it and told my mum. We called wires (they are wildlife rescue here) and the guy came and searched for it. He couldn't find it so we just didn't go in there for a couple days and we didn't encounter it again. It's a shame here that the only non-venomous snake I know of in our areas are diamond pythons but it is what it is. Luckily we haven't gotten any snake incidents since though.
