Can the underlay IGP be EIGRP. All docs show either static, OSPF or BGP. No mention of EIGRP. Is there a reason why EIGRP cannot be used for the underlay L3 routing protocol? Curious. BTW - Love your videos. They've really helped me understand VXLAN.
It can be, sure. ACI uses IS-IS. It seems the guides are pushing a design using open standards protocols. Any IGP will work, iBGP and eBGP as well. No real limit to the options.
@@RobRikerTechChannel Awesome that's what I thought. I re-did my lab with EIGRP instead of OSPF and it worked perfectly. Changed back to OSPF so I can continue the rest of the lab. I figured that is what Cisco's angle was to only recommend open standards. Thanks. Again love you channel.
