Nice flower. Clear instructions. But very annoying to get to the end only to find out I need sticky back plastic. Also it would be better to label as Kirigami so people know they will need to perform a cut.

Technically, one could consider the starting paper to simply be 8 sided, and all steps up until the cut are merely the process to create an evenly octagonal piece of paper with which to start the project.

this is absolutely not kirigami; while it would have been helpful to know from the start that the model is based off an octagon, there are no further cuts outside of forming the original regular octagon. if you call this kirigami, then models that start from rectangles, hexagons, pentagons, etc. are also kirigami, which is a ludicrous claim considering countlessly many designers in countlessly many genres of origami do so all the time. tessellations on triangular grids, in particular, will essentially never start on squares.
also, while the sticky tape certainly helps with stability if you are inexperienced, it seems to be unnecessary; just flatten it for a while by placing it under a heavy book so that the folds set before you shape the petals.

6:00 i made it this far in half an hour yayyy update 10:50 Ive been on this for 2 hours now update 12:50 i just gave up this person isnt speaking and explaining anything just go and watch some other origami vids its pointless to try this one (take it with a grain of salt)

Very nice but way too much folding and too time consuming, and confusing. but look's good
If you call this too much folding and confusing, you must have not done much with origami. Try origami daisy or hydrangea and you'll see this is pretty straightforward and simple.
