  • Here's the classic adventure tale written by Robert Louis Stevenson, as a one hour audio drama produced by the Lux Radio Theater. Broadcast date was on January 29, 1951. Sound quality is virtually flawless.

These productions should be part of the curriculum in (UK primary 5-12yrs ) schools unsure of the equivalent in the USA 🇺🇸
Kids today they are brought up on a diet of visual this n that. There is a wonderful world to enjoy listening to excellent radio drama.
It stimulates the imagination and stretches the thinking processes, this is much needed for young folks, I believe.
    Thanks again for the upload.

+Fyodor48 Alyosha UA-cam provides me with detailed statistics. As of 400,000 views, 0% come from under age 25. It's a sad fact. In a few cases, however, I've had teachers present a couple of my programs to young students. I get 4% from the UK !

Suspense & ESCAPE! It’s a sad inditement is modern society, it’s all twitter Facebook etc etc they live their lives out in the public arena... 😐 it’s great that some teachers use your uploads, let’s hope it continues to grow, and more children get introduced to radio drama.
Both my kids (now grown up) they were
Brought up at the birth of the internet, but were also brought up reading books listening to both classical music and the radio. Radio played a bigger part in their young life than tv.
They have done well in life; and still listen to the radio, now it’s all done via the internet though! At least I am happy that neither of them have any online footprint, as in social media.
