I put my Christmas books on my coffee table. They are more likely to be read there. I have a secretary with the cabinet on top and the writing part below. I leave my writing desk open and have a small brass lamp with a black metal shade on it. A few other items too. In the top part I have a beautiful plate on the top shelf in the middle. I have 3 interesting ones and change them out. Next to it is a blue glass bird in a nest. It’s about 10” high but the color is amazing. Turquoise opaque and it really shows up through the glass. Sometimes things get lost in there if the color isn’t bright enough. This is a great place for things I don’t ever want broken. lol. Tea cups, small vases, tiny boxes, figurines, look nice on the shelves. When I was a child my grandmother bought my sisters and I matching tea cups that were different colors. We would have tea parties a lot and learned to be careful with them. After my mother passed away we finally split up our cups. It was a bittersweet moment knowing that they had been there for 40 years. You picked out some nice things. They look great in your room. Maybe right before Christmas is a good time to look at Facebook marketplace! I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday.

Hello my friend! We finally, after 6mths, found a house here in Florida & I'm just elated!! Its A nice size house with 2 living rooms or din & living room. We can't move in until Jan. 21st but in the mean time I'm getting ready!! I'll def be trying to find pieces that I've been wanting since we'll have the room! A hutch will be the main piece, but i def want a an older roll top secretary with A top cabinet! I've got to have bedroom & living room furniture so I'll def be on market place & thrifting! The Habitat is pretty near by & they have lots of furniture! (I've gotten behind on all my videos, so I'm going to go back & catch your last one!) I'm excited for next year, I'll get to decorate for Christmas! I hate i didn't get to this year, but that gives me all year to collect more!😁 I collect old vintage & antique mantle clocks.. but they don't actually work! All are wood except one & its a porcelain Victorian one. When we had or thrift store in Tennessee, we had a little brass clock just like that one! I think its so pretty, but looked a little to modern or new with the rest of my decor, so i didn't take it home.🤷♀️ I loved the oval frame, i think they're really pretty with a Victorian picture/photo in them. I love the brass French horns! I have several in a couple different sizes that are brass with a nice patina..i leave mine out year round. They look pretty on peg racks, laying in baskets, hanging on the back of an old wooden chair. Of course at Christmas you can change them up with a pretty bow & add them to the Christmas decor! I would def rub & buff the French horns to make them look brass.. I'd probably also add some antiquing wax just to make them look like they have a nice patina. I do watch Hillary's channel..i need to go watch her home tour! The photo book really is pretty, thats actually where i would put the photo album, so it can be seen!😊 The desk is so pretty! The paper is pretty in the basket & i love the ribbon & container. Oh wow.. love the cabinet & such an awesome deal!❤ Love the Christmas book on the easel! Aww the puppy is precious!🐶 We had A Jack Russell when my son was little.. her name was Piper! You had A really nice haul! I enjoyed watching, and love the new pieces of furniture! Try soaking the horns in vinegar. I found brass candlesticks that were painted over and after soaking overnight the paint came right off .
