What really amazed me with this xpander, ung power nya sa mga steep inclines. We have driven our xpander to ilocos - apayao rd grabe taas. Sbi nla mas mataas pa s baguio pero parang wla lng sa xpander kahit 10 kmi nkasakay 3 kids 7 adults.

Ang bilis po ng sasakyan depende po yan sa horsepower nya..kabilang po cya sa Rush, Suzuki XL7 mas mabilis po ang BRV kasi 121hp nya compare to Expander na 103hp lng

Got a GLS Variant 2021 and never akong nabitin dn sa ride. Current odo is 12.5k and my gad consumption is at 11km/L mixed city and highway driving. Power is enough, Aircon medj mahina pero ok na Rin. FWD sya kaya comfortable tlga riding exp pra sa Isang mpv.

we used to own a zc ford escape with a 2.3 engine, which we bought brand new, i beg to disagree sa sinasabi mong mahirap ang parts, if you do know how to do cross reference sa mga parts, you will realize that some of its parts are the same with the mazda 3, which are available din naman sa mga suking auto supply, now if your suking auto supply and the vehicle owner knew what they actually do, they can order for mazda tribute parts, yes hindi gaanong bumenta ang mazda tribute dito, but our suking auto supply tend to carry japanese brands than american brands

Bossing. Yung 2022 model ng expander na nakikita ko sa ibqng yt vloggers eh bago na yung front parang T designed na ubg mga ilaw dun sa bandang gitna saka ung interior nya ay medyo iba na din saka meron na ding EPB at auto hold function katulad dun sa monterosport GLS / GT models po.
Hello! I think yung sinasabi mo is the face lifted version ng Xpander which is only available sa Indonesia. My guess is baka next year ilabas dito sa Pinas yung new version ng Xpander which will be either in 2023 or 2024 versions.

I have tried the xpander driving it all the way to Bicol from Alabang and back. It was a very comfortable and relaxing ride. Had we needed the extra seats, we would have picked that over the Coolray.

if your ford escape feels tiring to drive, then something is wrong to your vehicle. what you felt on your xpander is actually placebo effect.
Ah yes po maybe my ford escape is too old na din and madami ng problem and hindi ko naalagaan ng maayos dahil I know nothing about cars when we first got it.
I sold the ford escape na merong check engine lighted up so obviously merong issue po talaga.
Kaya I decided na mag brand new na para walang sakit ng ulo.

Totoo po. I also checked the Montero Sport and almost the same sila ng built quality. Siguro car manufactureres are now leaning towards sa weight ng sasakyan kasi I believe mas magaan ang sasakyan, mas tipid sa gas.

I don't get why people are buying these FWD MPVs using an engine designed for a subcompact sedan. I mean, for me, they're underpowered. Considering the weight of an mpv alone is greater than a subcompact sedan. It's just gonna hurt the engine because it needs to put much effort, which would result to a higher fuel consumption. For me, I would only pick between the crv or innova. Yes, crv is not an mpv but the quality it has is worth it.
I think every car serve its purpose. As for this Xpander, I'm not sure about the "underpowered" part but if it can carry 7 people and fuel efficient I guess it serve it's purpose for my needs.
Buy a car what suits you :)

why don't you ask the manufacturer on why they designed this type of vehicle and for what purpose if the engine is under power like what you've said, don't ask the consumer, ask the manufacturer.

@@ORIDEMEDIA my friend was about to buy one of these. He asked us to come with him 'coz he was gonna test it. So there we were, 5 male adults. Plus we also bought a few stuff with us to make it realistic. It was really slow on the streets. Then we tried if it can go up the parking area of my condo. It couldn't. We already used the low gear. Dude, I kid you not, the guards were even laughing. The guy from mitsubishi was so ashamed. All he could do was grin. 🤣

I can agree po. Malakas sa gas ang old models ng ford kasi malakas ang makina matulin. Matipid naman po pag long drive pero sa case po namin lagi kami naka city driving so we decided na magpalit na.

Which is better, Xpander or Okavango?

That's a difficult question po to answer. If budget is not a factor, you'll want to get the xpander for reliability and the Okavango for features, added comforts (Lalo na sa 3rd row seats) and additional safety features.
However, if budget is an issue, you can save 200k pesos and up and use it on other investment if you get the xpander -- not to mention a better peace of mind in terms of kung tatagal ba sya.
That's my honest opinion but if you're curious what I would personally buy if I had the money, I'd pick the Okavango since I want to vote with my wallet its high-tech features and I hope the more mature brands will consider having them soon on their upcoming models and also compete price-wise.
That's just me. Still, the xpander is obviously the king of the 7seater MPV market for me. It's still the sound choice and is the safe choice

For me it's better to wait for the xpander facelift floating screen na, EPB with autohold, digital na din yun climate control. May arm rest na sa 1st row tapos may cupholder na sa 2nd row. Dami na din soft touch sa interiors so mas naging luxurious. Improved na din yun suspension and 220mm na ground clearance. T-shape na din yun headlight. Cvt na din sya though JATCO so i dont know kung advantage yun.
But if makukuha mo yun big discounts ngayon sa xpander or xpander cross wag mo na hintayin yun facelift. 160k for gls. 150k for xpander cross.

That's true po. If kaya pa mag hintay for the face lift version mas good buy yun. Pero My guess is around 2023 or 2024 pa sya irerelease based sa Mitsubishi car release plan dito sa pilipinas. Available na sya currently sa indonesia and other countries and we're hopefull na ma release agad dito satin.
In my case naman, hindi ko na sya nahintay kasi I need the car na and also type ko yung subtle design changes nitong akin.

reliability is subjective depende sa may ari yan. kung tricycle and jeepney style maintenance ang gagawin mo, kahit anong brand pa yan, hindi tatagal!

From torque converter to CVT is downgrade poh..sabi nga ni RM "San ka magtitiwala sa gear na belt (cvt) or sa gear na bakal (tor.con).
