Worked in Grise Fiord and Resolute Bay in 1980 for 16 months. Beautiful! Loved watching seals play in the ocean in front of the medical station in Grise Fiord. Our water was ice trucked in from the glacier, and it snapped and crackled in our beverages. Imagine million year old ice cubes! Grise Fiord is magical and I loved the people in both Resolute and Grise Fiord . Would love to go back.

i was googling extremely northern places in north america and saw Grise Ford and looked it up on UA-cam and found this video. Thank you for sharing things like this with the rest of the world! It’s amazing. no matter how “normal” or not exciting you think it is where you live just know, not everyone experiences the same things so it can be very interesting for others like me to see! Thank you for sharing! Loved it!

Small, remote icy towns fascinate me. I wonder how it is to live in there. What the daily life looks like. It just baffles me how humans manage to live in the most remote places. Very small islands in the middle of the ocean have the same effect on my imagination. I wish I could visit all of that but it's kind of extremely expensive to travel in those places.

Oh, God in Heaven. A place like Grise Ford is where I want to live and die. But I don't make a lot of money . . .

Yes definitely! I posted my home tour video from another community in Nunavut. Check it out, most houses look similar to that from the inside. What I love about the houses there is the colourful exterior walls. Really pops out😊
