They are doing a lot of fun stuff, but their lyrics actually got more serious in their recent catalogue. The other Swiss gorgeousness Melissa Bonny collaborated 2x so far with them, on "Ding" (Seeed cover) and "Warriors Of The World" (Manowar cover). As of their original songs, I'd recommend "Memento Mori" and "Das Elfte Gebot".

Amazing collab, and Feuerschwanz got so many great songs to check out next. Ding with Melissa are a must, and Ultima nochte are one of my favorites from them. 😀
Feuerschwanz and their folk metal sound are excellent, and I've been a fan ever since they covered the song 'Ding!' with Melissa Bonny. They do a lot of covers, enough that they recently collected them into one album that they released. Their own non-cover songs seem to always be in German. They are a band that does not take themselves seriously, but are very good at what they do. They're a bit like Electric Callboy in that manner.

I'm shocked that this is your first time hearing Feuerschwanz! (Foyer-Sh-wanz), their new album is my favourite album of 2021.. not a single dud song on the album.. "Memento Mori" and their cover of "Warriors of the world united" is simply sublime! Other outstanding tracks from the band: Ding, Meister Der Minne, Das Elfde Gebot, I see Fire, Metfest, Malleus Maleficarum, Hier kommt Alex, Schubsetanz (original & Black metal version), Untot im Drachenboot, Ultima Nocte, Dragostea Din Tei, Final Countdown, Gimme Gimme Gimme!, Blinding Lights, Im Bauch des Wals, & Die Hörner hoch.
Btw you heard Hodi aka Ben Metzner doing the flutes and pipes on VOS's Pirates album.. he played Thor in this video, singer with the long hair.

Great reaction and so glad you go to meet Fabienne. Saw Eleuveite in Boston and the show was fantastic and Adriane from Seven Spires and Juka from Omnium Gatherum did a great job filling in. Loved seeing Annie their new Hurdy Gurdy player. Welcome to Feuerschwanz. German medieval folk metal at it's finest. Jenny from Darkside of the Moon is also a member along with Hans, although more as a performer then as a musician. Definitely need to check out their covers of Ding (Seed cover) with Melissa Bonny and Warriors of the World (Manowar cover) with Melissa, Thomas Winkler (ex Gloryhammer now Angus McSix) and Alea from Saltatio Mortis. Also need to checkout Untot im Drachenboot and Memento Mori. Their music videos are always lots of fun with high production values and great costumes.
Their cover of Ding is a popular song with Melissa Bonny (previously of Rage of Light and currently Ad Infinitum).
You also have their Manowar cover for Warriors of the World Unites with Melissa, Thomas Winkler (ex Gloryhammer, now Angus McSix) and Alea der Bescheidene (Saltatio Mortis).
Otherwise I'd recommend Schubseranz (they made a Black Metal version of it as well) or Methämmer.

It is highly unusual to hear Fabi singing in German, even if I know where she comes from, to be honest. It is really cool that you could meet her. Melissa collaborated twice with this band - on covers to be precise. If you ever want to react to something softer, then there is a new live music video by Nemophila with the title "new I here". I remember that you liked "Life".
Fabi sang in her native tongue on the Eluveitie tour, the song "The Call of the Mountains"
@@TauriReacts "De Ruef Vo De Bärge" is in swiss german - as a german I find it nearly unintelligble^^. So hearing her in german is strange but wonderfull.

Oh awesome, I also went to a show on this tour! Unfortunately, I had to cut out right after Seven Spires because I was dogsitting and couldn't leave the dogs alone for too long. Cool to hear your experience!

Feuerschwanz are amazing and even more live! I would recommend that you check their song Memento Mori and Ultima Nocte, probably my two favorites songs from them because they are just super folky!

Which was one of the harshest insults for a very long time in Europe at least. As it insults your Mum being a wh*re (either way, if she's of good standing or a peasant)'
It further insults on the Fact, your "Dad" don't care about you, and no matter what you'll do, you'll never be able to inherit your Parents Wealth/Company/etc.
It basically means you're even worse then a peasant, as a legitimate child of peasants is still able to inherit the farm they work on, whilst you are worth nothing really...
So yeah... From todays perspective, it's no big deal, as a majority of Children is born illegitimate and has almost no downside to it. (almost)
But back a 100years and more, uuh, it was a VERY BIG Deal.
Well... I guess it depends how you grew up, in my house hold we'd get told off for using it.
That might not matter to modern people but back in the day, this very much was a curse and also meant that way.
Bastard is of course used as an insult, but it back in the days, it just ment "illegitimate child especially of a nobleman and an unworthy woman".
I learned it that it was just a dog whos father is unknown.
My Feuerschwanz recommendation is a really fun song called Schubsetanz, but honestly they have many great songs. As far as english covers go: Blinding Lights (the Weeknd), Warriors of the World united (Manowar), Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (ABBA)
So you are new to Feuerschwanz? The band has quite a long history here in germany and started as a medieval fun/comedy rock band with mostly sarcastic, sexual and/or not so serious lyrics. But in the recent years they changed their style to be more serious and more (power) metal like while still not taking themselves to serious ;-).
Some love them for that some hate them for that. I think their development is a good one, love their recent (but also their old!) stuff!

Bastard is not a curse word - it is merely an old (since the middle ages) word for the illegitimate child of a nobleman (here: Odin). It only became a curse word much later.

just for you as I was younger made swords and armore we had a woman she was kindergarden high creative and intelligent she could draw oh my god and we where invited to a viking fest was way deep in bavaria (we are blackforest people) as we got there we relized the guy was against woman wearing swords but he had to let them in the contest I could not I had a seriose foot and there where 3 woman one was a top model as a job and they had to fight on a plate if you are pushed out lost and so on can say two woman won,but there where other things lihe throwing stones as far as you could naturaly guys have more muskles but one woman won and that made me happy.dont back up just because some guys thing woman belong behind a kitchen.if viking women had too they grabed a sword
