In part, the sound quality is not that good because the transfer is poor. I had the original 78s for years and the audio off the original discs is much better. The recording was made in about 1939.

I don’t believe Rose studied with Feuermann. He was a pupil of Felix Salmond.
However, George Neikrug did study with Feuermann.
I studied with a pupil of Feuermann, Jane Cowan
He went into the hospital for a minor procedure, contracted an infection, and died at 40. An awful loss.
