    The reveal at the end is just AMAZING. I mean, WHAT a twist that it was all a plot to get his mom to reveal her cards and her true motives with regards to Lucifer. And Lucifer singing to Chloe was just EVERYTHING as well. Deckerstar is just the most amazing ship, and worth all the heartbreak and angst to get moments like that 🧡

    I hated Candy but now I love her! And I love the fact, that since Lucifer doesn't lie, he really married Candy, giving her the rings to pay for the divorce, that is really funny! And he's so cute, he couldn't stand being away from Chloe, so he had to do something to at least be her partner again...my Deckerstar!

    Please keep in mind the song Lucifer wrote "crime solving devil" (playing guitar) you will hear it again in a few seasons in another context.
    Since Lucifer can't lie, he actually married Candy. therefore now Lucifer must divorce.
    We will see the story of how he came to the idea of marrying Candy in another episode and it will be super fun.
    I love how you analyze the story and the characters, it just keeps getting better.

    One of the annoying things about potential couples on network TV shows is that to make the show last as long as possible they need drama so with couples it usually goes one of two ways, it takes forever to get them together making us go through the whole "will they won't they" thing or it's an on again off again thing where events or people are in the way, breaking up over something stupid, or taking things slow.

    Candy is the best side character hands down. You’ll get the backstory about her and Lucifer in a later episode - one of my all time favorites of the show.
    The last couple of episodes have kind of shifted Lucifer’s and Chloe’s dynamic permanently, now it’s all push and pull. Season two is really awesome but I think the best is yet to come. You’ll see the improvement in production, CGI and storytelling once you catch up with the episodes produced by Netflix. I really look forward to your reactions!

    At the end, Candy's bag went into the limo trunk. Luci rolled the bag, and handed it to the driver (offscreen) who loaded it.
    Lucifer knows him and Chloe are a setup at this point, but Chloe doesn't. So he protected her free will, until such time as she becomes informed. Uninformed choices are not really free will.

    This show, man! It drives me nuts! 😅 This episode still has Lucifer and company insist that Dad putting Chloe in his path means that “their entire relationship is a sham”. Now, Lucifer feeling like this simply makes Chloe the true victim in Dad’s games (which there’s no way He would want), but there’s still some questions to ask about this whole situation. Lucifer calls his feelings (and Chloe’s feelings for him) “smoke and mirrors, courtesy of dear old Dad,” and this episode continues the discussion of how Dad’s interference means that the feelings between Lucifer and Chloe aren’t real. But there’s still never any actual confirmation of this, it’s just guessing. Plus it pretty obviously ignores that whole concept of “free will” that the whole show is pretty big on. It does make sense that the characters involved wouldn’t think about that, because all they can really think about is how manipulative of a father or ex-husband Dad is in this and other cases. I hope this leads to more interesting discussions about free will and destiny and all that other stuff you’d expect with angels and goddesses and humans. But the whole spiel that Mum concluded “Chloe being made for Lucifer to manipulate him”... no way. I’m not buying that. Dad would never play like that with Chloe’s feelings and existence. She was a blessing to good people who couldn’t have a baby who is immune to manipulation. That’s all we know. And I’m not letting Mum manipulate me like she’s manipulating them! 😂😂

    Truly a joy to see your reaction to this incredible series! I find many of Lucifer's situations to be ones I've encountered myself. How is it that what I've wanted to say I was frightened to say? I was more afraid of rejection, like Lucifer, and didn't want to take the steps for my own happiness. I see your bubbly bright person and wonder if you would consider a series a bit more on the dark side... I'm talking Dexter here. While Dexter hasn't the same intensity for laughs, they do pull off many amusing moments. It's 8 seasons of 12 episodes each that you might find worth your time. Off my bandwagon and looking forward to you continuing on with Lucifer.

    Thank you so much once again, for another great reaction!! I enjoy this episode a lot. When I first watched it... I couldn't help but cringe every time Candy came onscreen because she is such a bimbo, but when it's revealed in the end that she was a part of Lucifer's plan to get back at his mother and brother, and back into Chloe's good graces, not to mention that she's not at all the persona she portrays to help Lucifer... I immediately came to like her very much. Especially upon seeing her as her true self like you said. I completely agree with you about Candy. :)
    One of my favorite moments within this episode, is his confrontation with Amenadiel, when Amenadiel comes to ask Lucifer to explain why he's with Candy after Lucifer had asked him to look after Chloe for him while he was away. I love, love, love when Lucifer finally admits his real reasons for "marrying" Candy, is because he is saving her because he sadly believes Chloe isn't in control of her own feelings for him. That he's protecting her from himself. The look on Lucifer's face and the sadness in his eyes is heartbreaking.
    However, I also like how Amenadiel stands up for their mother, even though I still hate her for manipulating Lucifer so cruelly. It's good of him to encourage Lucifer to try to make things right with her, because he is right that Charlotte did sacrifice a lot by going down to Hell to save her son. I just wish I could say that she's learned from her mistakes too. Whether or not she has... you'll have to wait and see. It's clear that she's desperate to find her way back into Heaven, or what the angels call... the Silver City. And she will do whatever it takes to get back home.
    Another of my favorite moments is when Chloe and Lucifer go to the drummer's house to talk with him about being suspected of killing the band's lead singer. However, Chloe steps out of the room once Lucifer answers Candy's call, until he's suddenly attacked by their suspect who turns out to be their killer, and Chloe must talk him down to save Lucifer, eventually being forced to shoot him.
    I absolutely love Lucifer's struggles throughout this episode to try to earn back Chloe's trust in spite of how rash and foolish he's been since he left her two weeks earlier, only to come back to Los Angeles married to an exotic dancer who's a ditsy blonde with barely an IQ. Sadly, upon Chloe constantly pushing him away and him failing her, it leads to Lucifer feeling that he's got nothing left to live for if he can't remain as Chloe's partner. And when he's being strangled, Lucifer begs the killer to kill him, and even demands that Chloe just shoot him when the killer just becomes confused by Lucifer's and Chloe's interactions. Thankfully, Chloe is able to shoot their killer only, and manages to save Lucifer in spite of his recklessness.
    And then... Candy arrives at the apartment to see if Lucifer is okay upon hearing him get attacked through the phone, when she finds Chloe and thanks her for saving her husband's life. And in doing so, without Lucifer asking her to, she proves to Chloe that Lucifer means well and loves working with Chloe more than anything. But more so... she lets Chloe know how broken he had become upon her getting sick and then nearly died. Letting her know that he was a wreck without her, fearing he would never be with her again. And I love Candy for this. She's so sweet and so when it's revealed in the end that she was only acting like a bimbo in order to con Lucifer's family and co-workers for him, and that they weren't really ever married, it wasn't at all surprising, and I love the reveal.
    Thankfully... Candy's words get through to Chloe and she nonchalantly tells Lucifer she's happy to have him back as her partner again as if nothing's changed between them before they tried to get together, by telling him she would see him in the morning. And I love the look of surprise and happiness on his face when he smiles at her and she at him. So cute. :)
    As for the overall case... I really enjoy it. I didn't expect the killer to be the drummer of the band. And I like how this case leads Chloe and Lucifer to going undercover as a married couple when Chloe poses as Candy to try to get information out of the lawyer with the band. I love the awkwardness between Lucifer and Chloe throughout their investigation, and seeing them struggle to come back together as partners. But more so... I especially love the moment Lucifer sings Eternal Flame for Chloe, while also drawing out their current suspect... the band's guitar player. His voice once again is absolutely phenomenal. He is so adorable while he's singing to her, as he keeps his eyes on Chloe the whole time. Also... I love that while Chloe is trying really hard not to smile because she's so annoyed and angry with him, she still can't help but smile and even laugh. So cute!!! :)
    Next... I enjoy the scene between Lucifer and Charlotte towards the end as well. when Lucifer finally comes to confront his mother. Like I said in my comments for your last reaction... I know that Charlotte does love her son. And that in her mind, she means well. However, I understand Lucifer's anger towards her and why he can't trust a word she says to him even more so. Yet I love that he still acknowledges her own sacrifice she made for him too. And the truth is that he is really far more angry with God because he's never once lifted a finger to help him since casting him down into Hell, while Charlotte does at least make some effort to help him... whether she's right or wrong in how she goes about doing so. And then... Charlotte finally reveals to Lucifer why she's been doing all she has done, as she tells him her plans to return to the Silver City, and in so doing, she also tells him about Azrael's blade being the key to them getting back in. And after she's finished, I love the look of concern on Lucifer's face, because now Lucifer realizes he has to make a difficult choice... To stay on Earth with Chloe, and among his friends and the humans he's become so attached to, or to return home to Heaven like his mother and brother want of him, to where he is still unwanted and doesn't feel like he belongs. Love it!
    And lastly... I really do love the ending between Lucifer and Candy. I love finally seeing her true self, and hearing her real voice. It's also revealed to us that Lucifer had done something big for her while in Vegas that meant a lot to her, which is why she's helping him now to repay him for his help. As for the money he spent in the beginning upon giving it to those shady guys... it was payment for Candy's wedding rings she's wearing, which is why she attempts to give it back to Lucifer in the end, only for him to allow her to keep it, while also offering him another of his rings that must be quite valuable as well... as he jokes with her about divorce not being cheap. I think this was just his way of helping her out so she can start a new life after her troubling life Lucifer helped her out of. I'm pretty sure that Lucifer and Candy weren't actually ever married. And I really love this about Lucifer. He doesn't see himself as a good man, but he really is. He cares about people more than even he really understands.
    Thank you so much again! Another fun reaction for another fantastic episode. I can't wait for many more Lucifer reactions to come. Until next time...

    Yeah, sorry, video kinda just dropped, and just saw the start, but let's hold off on the judgement here. What has Lucifer recently learned about Chloe? And, given that, what would Lucifer see as the biggest middle finger to his father? Yeah, he's being a dick. I'm not gonna excuse that. He's letting his feelings regarding his dad over-rule how he feels about Chloe. It's a bad choice. Buts it's a realistic choice

    • @archaeologyteensyoungadult4477
      @archaeologyteensyoungadult4477 4 роки тому

      Interesting...I am not sure that is how Lucifer sees it...he is angry at his father, but he also feels Chloe is not being given a choice due to being "a gift"...so he is trying fix that. He cares enough about Chloe to separate himself from her.

    • @Randerson2409
      @Randerson2409 4 роки тому

      @@archaeologyteensyoungadult4477 I mean, I agree. But Lucifer, until this point, has always looked to find the biggest way to give a flip-off to his father. Its not about Chloe's involvement. Its about his dad's

    • @Randerson2409

      So, when it seems the 'plan' from God is for Chloe and him to end up together, what will Lucifer choose, but to find someone else, however shallow

      @archaeologyteensyoungadult4477 4 роки тому

      @@Randerson2409 there is truth in that, but there is room for love in his anger...he just does not know it yet...the story of the gift expands in later seasons, as you may know if you have seen Season 5, and the question becomes, why did God want Lucifer to feel love...at all? It changes him through out the seasons.
