These eaebuds are simply amazing for $99. They just work so well in every aspect. I have the older Pro Plus and the improvements in fit, ambient and anc plus all the little added features in the app are just very welcome improvements. Plus the improved battery life and ability to connect to two devices is pretty sick. I also have the Galaxy Pro 2 and Buds 2 which the Live Pro 2 compare very well to. The only thing missing is the ability to have all the controls working at once which isn't a huge deal. But it's something they can work on. Also I'm not sure which firmware you have on the Pro Plus but the touch controls work great with the most current firmware. The older firmware versions did have slow response.

finally a bluetooth earphone that can easily connect to whatever phones you choose unlike most of the competition's where switching from 1 phone to another might requires some kind of reset or turning off the respective phone bluetooth before being able to connect to another but this jbl model doesn't require any of that
I bought these and have to say the review is pretty on point. Would love to also see a comparison of the Soundcore Spade A40. I bought both and the noise canceling on those blows the JBL Pro 2 out of the water. (I do like the JBL fit more though). That said, thanks for the videos!

Hello Please, how is the quality of the microphones in a noisy environment, compared to Airpod Pro 1 / 2 or other earbuds that you have already tested? 🙏🏽
@rolins3279 hello, this probably wasn't addressed to me but the call quality on the jbl live pro 2 is great and does well blocking out background noise maybe not as good as airpod pro gen 2 but on par with gen 1
Thank you for this test 👍🏽 It would also be cool to have a microphone comparison between the different brands. You choose for each brand 1 or 2 earbuds that you think are the best in terms of microphones and you compare them to the others. 🙏🏽
Only my left ear bud changes in single bud mode. The right will stay at whatever it is set as. Also no ANC in single bud mode, unlike Liberty 4s. Trying to decide between the 2, there are pros and cons for each. Edit: After updating the earbuds the gesture controls cant be set differently in single bud mode. Battery life is now down to about 5 hours. Good sound and noise cancelling but otherwise quite an annoying user experience.

Good review and comparison. I would love to see you review the Oppo Enco X2. Idk how much it would cost you but I bought it for $135.00 during Black Friday to the US with tax. I would like to hear your thoughts on them.👍
Been using this buds for a few months and yes i totally agree the need to choose which controls are active is a disappointment. Everything else is good.
The buds are perfect. Except that the material is bad. Case got a coating which goes off eventually and it looks bad to see the case once it get scratches. So is the earbud. Except these two items, buds are excellent.
I had the Liberty 4 NC version and had to return them. Ear tips were very loose keep coming off and getting stuck in my ears. The fit also hurt my ears. I now have the JBL Live 2 they fit in my ears like a glove and are much more comfortable and I think they sound better. I do miss the hearing test to create my own eq but the presets seem to do the trick.
Always awesome reviews from you🙌🏽🙌🏽. What do you think about these JBL live pro 2 vs Oneplus buds pro? (Comfort, secure Fit, Connectivity, sound and Mic quality are most important things for me)
Just bought them and I do like them but I'm wondering does anyone else's not really stop playing when you pull them out of your ears? Did I get a faulty pair or is this not a feature??
My air pods just gave and I honestly just want something that sounds good, has great battery life, is reliable and will last me like 2 years minimum. I really only use them for watching youtube, shows movies. Would these be a good choice or would you recommend something else?
In my test and opinion, Soundpeats T2 has better ANC level both for higher and lower frequency. I bought JBL live 2 pro because on Picky chart it rank better in term of ANC compare to T2. I tested by playing no music near people chatter and bathroom fan.
Enjoyable review. Your reviews are very well structured and informative. Only problem I had was when you kept saying "buds2 pro" and which one that is. It's so much easier (for me anyway) when the manufacturer's name is said!
I'm kind of annoyed that the jbl live free 2 aren't available in my country since I'm not all that about stick buds but i guess they might offer a pretty good alternative
It's good earpods, the ANC is great, was using it in the gym, blocked surroundings really well. But the fit was terrible for me, as soon as I started to push myself more and clenching my teeths they were popping out of my ears everytime. To the point I get annoyed and had to sell them:(
Thanks! Ok I just compared them and they sound SO similar, like so close. Soundstage is more open on the H2 and there is slightly more bass. Clarity is maybe slightly better on the Live Pro but barely noticable.
@@pickyaudio Thanks for comparing… I already have the H2’s, and have had my eye on the Live Pro 2’s, but since they sound so close will give them a miss. Thanks again! Andreas 🙏
Would have loved to get a mic sample from a quiet environment and another from an environment with background people speech. From the mic sample here I can say there is definitely some not particularly pleasant voice compression artifact even if it's overall clear, but that's fairly normal for true wireless buds in a noisy env. In a quiet environment the mic should instead give its best output. People background speech noise is nice to try out to see if the buds are actually able to distinguish the voice sources, and see if they would be a decent choice in a quiet enough office (in a busy office true wireless buds unluckily are simply useless for calls, no matter the brand).
Hey Picky, in my country the price of Live pro 2 literally doubles the price of Tune 230nc. The important features for me are call quality and battery life. I have 2-3 hours of zoom calls a day. Considering the price, is 230nc is an easy pick in my case?
I am looking for earbuds for calling. I am on calls atleast for 4-5 hours a day. I have people around me on calls too... My clients complain there is a lot of background noise (people talking on calls) Which earbuds should I go for calling and music (secondary) with a budget of $100... With stem or without stem . Which one would be better?? Thank you..
Yes, the sound is very nice, but there is a problem with the right earphone. I bought 3 and the right earphone of 2 of them does not work. I think there is a problem with the software. It does not recognize the right earphone.
When it comes to sound and optimal EQ setting (with your comment on the Treble in mind), is it a big or slight difference between these and Liberty 4? I've been going back and forth between Live Pro 2 and Liberty 4 for months. For now I'm leaning towards Live Pro 2 since I've seen some reports saying that the right bud on Liberty 4 consumes way more battery then the left due to the heart rate monitor. I don't really care about the heart rate monitor or the spatial audio anyway...
Is this product still a good buy in this price point range? Available around me, there are Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Marshall Minor 3, JBL Tune Beam, and Soundpeats Air 4 Pro. I do prioritize Sound Quality, Transparency Mode, security (does not wobbly around) and battery life. Can you advise? I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro Max. ANC is not the top priority for me at the moment
I don't know where you found them for $100 Aus. They actually sell for $199 and even now as I write this, Amazon Prime Day and other Major retailers are NOT discounting it. I'm getting the Live Flex from JB's for $99 slashed from $199 plus a $30 gift card = $69. Nice !
My biggest issue is with the touch gestures. I tend to wear a sweat band and that goes over the ear and sometimes when I’m running and sweating a lot the touch gestures get activated. Which ear buds would be best for a situation like that? That also have noise cancellation and decent phone call quality. Mainly using for working out, podcasts, audio books, and cycling so wind noise is a factor!
Is there anyway to lower the volume any further than how they come from the factory? It seems like the lowest value available is still a bit too loud, especially in a quiet environment.
Is there any earbuds in transparency mode that will tone down voices? I have autism and the high pitch of voices is too much. I currently have the Sony xm4 but I don’t think their ANC is that good. And in transparency it never changes the sound of voices with different levels of ambiance. I do like the idea of having that setting to have different levels of ambiance. I have the setting turned off for voice. but I don’t see any difference with that setting on or off. I’m feeling so discouraged and frustrated with all the $ I’m spending trying to find the best ones for me. 😩 any advice??
What happens when you lose the eartips? I lose them in my Oppor Enco Air2 Pro and I can't find anywhere to replace them which is ridiculous but since they're oval it seems to be impossible
DO NOT BUY SOUNDCORE IF YOU WANT BASS I bought liberty 3 pro and bass had a good quality BUT it does not have any punch in it. You cant feel the slightest bass in them, bass have details yes but they are weak and cant give you the oomph In 3 days i will get jbl live pro 2 and im sure they are the ones that is good AND jbl live pro 2 has better ANC than any anker product (for earbuds, not headphones)
Sound quality and battery life you’re sorted. My top picks are these and the soundcore Liberty 4. Check out my latest video I compared the two throughout
I used to have the JBL Tune 230NC, and what I didn't like about them was that I couldnt turn them on if I forgot the charging case. Don't know if it happens the same with these?

I got them, i love them but iam having a problem in pc, wherever im using them in my PC the audio always drops in 1-2 minutes again and again. Do you also see this issue, do you have any solution?
It sounds like an issue with your PC. I don’t use a PC so I’m not 100% sure I’m the fix. But try updating the Bluetooth drivers. It could just be a poor quality chip on your PC so upgrading that is another option. I think you could also buy a usb dongle
@@pickyaudio but other Bluetooth earphones are working fine. Thats why I have a made a request for replacement. These buds are terrific, the ANC was very good. Just this pc issue is bothering me.
@@saketsharma1788 I got mine yesterday. No issues with Bluetooth on my Asus Zenbook. The only minor bug if I should be picky is that the multipoint is hard to fix sometimes, especially if it's already connected to one device and you try to connect to another one if that device (e.g. PC) is turned off.
I use the sennheiser momentum 3 the most. They don’t have the best fit though but I still use them anyway. I only really use those two. Next up would be the JBL Love pro 2 and JBL Tune 230NC
These headphones have the fourth best noise canceling? today I bought them and using these headphones I can hear more from my surroundings than with my previous headphones that did not have ANC. The rest is great but the ANC is not satisfactory
@@pickyaudio I have them fitted so they don't fall out of my ears. They are comfortable. If I change to larger ones, they will not stick and the smaller suppress the sound even worse. the sound quality is great but the ANC is terrible

Went for a bike ride and killed battery life under 4 hrs less than half advertised. 15 mins for 4hrs quick is also BS. Shame because the sound quality was nice in a quiet space
Pretty horrible latency while watching a Sony Bravia smart TV. Almost can’t stand using them for tv which is why I bought them. Disappointing. My Bose only lasted 2.5 hours so I went with these. The bluetooth drops out quite a bit also unlike the Bose.

Have you tried the Enco X2? If so how do they compare sound-wise to the Buds Pro 2?
I don't know where you found them for $100 Aus. They actually sell for $199 and even now as I write this, Amazon Prime Day and other Major retailers are NOT discounting it.
I'm getting the Live Flex from JB's for $99 slashed from $199 plus a $30 gift card = $69. Nice !
Do you have any accessory recommendation for this buds? ie ear tips, case, ear hooks, etc. Does spinfit cp1025 fit or cp360? Cheers!!
Spinfit CP1025 will fit well if you don't like the included tips.
Dual pairing supported in both pro and 2 models
no only pro 2
Out of Sony WF 1000XF ,Marshall Motif 2 & Jbl live pro 2 which oneis best ?
I lost my jbl free 2 2020 model earpods. Looking to get something in the same price range. Would you recommend these at 200$ cad?
Is there anyway to lower the volume any further than how they come from the factory? It seems like the lowest value available is still a bit too loud, especially in a quiet environment.
I will switched from apple AirPod to this i hope it will be a good decision
Is there any earbuds in transparency mode that will tone down voices? I have autism and the high pitch of voices is too much. I currently have the Sony xm4 but I don’t think their ANC is that good. And in transparency it never changes the sound of voices with different levels of ambiance. I do like the idea of having that setting to have different levels of ambiance. I have the setting turned off for voice. but I don’t see any difference with that setting on or off. I’m feeling so discouraged and frustrated with all the $ I’m spending trying to find the best ones for me. 😩 any advice??
Will their bass compare to sony's over ear and extra bass headphones?
What happens when you lose the eartips? I lose them in my Oppor Enco Air2 Pro and I can't find anywhere to replace them which is ridiculous but since they're oval it seems to be impossible
How loud are these? I love to workout and want my earbuds extremely loud
They can be quite loud his recommended EQ tuning
Jbl pro 2 or soundpeats capsule 3 pro?
For call quality at outdoor with noise environment? What's your recommendation sir?
Great review! Top stuff.
Thanks!
2:40 Is this still it? They still haven't done a detailed control setup? I'm torn between these JBLs and the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro.
DO NOT BUY SOUNDCORE IF YOU WANT BASS
I bought liberty 3 pro and bass had a good quality BUT it does not have any punch in it. You cant feel the slightest bass in them, bass have details yes but they are weak and cant give you the oomph
In 3 days i will get jbl live pro 2 and im sure they are the ones that is good AND jbl live pro 2 has better ANC than any anker product (for earbuds, not headphones)
No Review about the nura-true pro?
Can you change the Volume from the buds? Or only trough the phone?
Great review
Where you getting them at $100
This was on Amazon at their lowest price
Thanks mate.
Another question
These buds v Samsung's buds pro2
Which one would you choose.
It would be nice if they could add a swipe volume control to it.
Agreed!
Huawai freebuds pro 2 vs jbl live pro 2
Which one good
Is it better than the reflect flow pro?(sound qualiy)?
Is there any better option than this in same price range?
Who is better JBL live pro 2 or JBL club pro plus
Would you say these are the best stemmed earbuds currently available? My main concerns are sound quality and battery life.
Sound quality and battery life you’re sorted. My top picks are these and the soundcore Liberty 4. Check out my latest video I compared the two throughout
@@pickyaudio have you by chance tried the Indy ANC wireless by Skullcandy??
Another option - Soundcore now has an 'ultra long life' version of the Life P3. Imo still a great sounding pair of buds with app support.
@@outermarker5801 thank you! I'll look into these! Is that the model name?
I used to have the JBL Tune 230NC, and what I didn't like about them was that I couldnt turn them on if I forgot the charging case. Don't know if it happens the same with these?
A pretty rare feature with most true wireless earbuds
thank you
Hello, i realy want this earbuds but i have never test earphones with in-ear and so i'm afaird about maintening in the ears. I can buy this for sure to do running, biking for exemple ? Thanks for your help
If I have small to medium ears and wear these for 2 hours or more, do you reckon my ears would hurt / get sore?
I got them, i love them but iam having a problem in pc, wherever im using them in my PC the audio always drops in 1-2 minutes again and again. Do you also see this issue, do you have any solution?
Please Help PICKY.
PC) is turned off.
factory reset? or return exchange?
Thanks for the video. Where do they sell this unit for $100 in Oz as I cannot find them at this price?
It was on Amazon, that’s the lowest I’ve seen them towards the end of the year
Now that you cannot get 75t's anymore are these the go to for gym? specifically for fit and hardest hitting bass?
I still use my 75t but these are in my top 5
@@pickyaudio what’s number 1? Excluding the 75t
I use the sennheiser momentum 3 the most. They don’t have the best fit though but I still use them anyway. I only really use those two. Next up would be the JBL Love pro 2 and JBL Tune 230NC
@@pickyaudio legend keep up the good work!
compare to oppo enco x2 pls
How do they compare with galaxy buds 2 pro
These headphones have the fourth best noise canceling? today I bought them and using these headphones I can hear more from my surroundings than with my previous headphones that did not have ANC. The rest is great but the ANC is not satisfactory
Make sure you try all the ear tips
@@pickyaudio I have them fitted so they don't fall out of my ears. They are comfortable. If I change to larger ones, they will not stick and the smaller suppress the sound even worse. the sound quality is great but the ANC is terrible
Hi man nice video once again!
I am looking to buy new buds and I am between two.
Which ones are better between these ones and the earfun air S and why ?
Thank you in advance
Jbl live pro 2 is better in every way basically.
@@pickyaudio thank you very much for your quick reply.
I appreciate it!
I like a warmer sound but still clear/balanced. Would you suggest jbl pro or jabra 7 pro?
You’re in luck I just opened my elite 7 pro. I think you’ll like the jabra 7 pro they have nicer trebble and are still warm but are more balanced than the jbl.
I've had nothing but trouble with these headphones.
Won't buy them now.
Same. Just returned mine. Left bud wouldn’t charge or sit correctly in the case. Had to press down for charge contact. Battery nowhere near advertised. Went for a bike ride and killed battery life under 4 hrs less than half advertised. 15 mins for 4hrs quick is also BS. Shame because the sound quality was nice in a quiet space
pls compare this jbl pro 2 with mtw3, which one i must buy?any advice
i dont know what you mean
Pretty horrible latency while watching a Sony Bravia smart TV. Almost can’t stand using them for tv which is why I bought them. Disappointing. My Bose only lasted 2.5 hours so I went with these. The bluetooth drops out quite a bit also unlike the Bose.
Hi looking for the best pc gaming earbud with good mic . just got the Soundcore nc's sound great but will not work with Discord and pc game at same time sound like under water ? tried everthing help lol
JBL Live Pro 2, how many speakers does have ?
One
They don't have a Led light when charging? Got my jbl live pro 2, was a little sacred that it wasn't charging 😅
My experince with those earbuds
Dont buy them
The randomly start cutting out for no reason at all and its not a faulty product becuse i already resend one and brought another one with the same issue and its not my phone i tried it on a second phone and it still had the issue where it randomly after sometime cuts out for half a second
If anyone knows a good alternative to this with same ambient aware and noice canceling with similar battery life please tell me i will resend those dipshit earbuds again and buy a diffrent one
The had one job
