I learned a bit of Japanese in highschool. Went to Tokyo once. Got to say a few words to many people there. Every single one was either surprised, or really happy and surprised at the same time. Japanese people are so nice. Might move there one day even though they'll never fully accept me as an immigrant.
I WOULD OF FELL LAUGHING 😭

I had this interaction in Germany when i was learning the language. I had one guy at the store laugh and ask if i spoke English guess my accent gave it away but i thought i said it wrong. He was so nice and said i used the right words in the right way. He let me practice with him whenever i came in.
