Before this video I didn't really get how your flex mark would have worked. Now I get it and it's Amazing I will try him in the next campaign for sure! Ty
This was one of your best investigator discussions yet. I really appreciate showing the starter and intermediate and high XP decks and the comparison between how they work and how you move from one to the other and how you make Mark play his different roles. Really awesome. Thanks.
I loved this deck, played something similar through TCU a few months ago. I ended up cutting Winging It pretty fast since my team didn't need clues. Instead I could focus on things like Leadership. Instead of Brand I went with Rite of Sanctification, since we were 4P with Zoey. There's so many ways you can support with this shell of Runic Axe and the Bestow package.
Huh never really noticed how hard Mark gets carried by his ability. He's basically a straight guardian in your decklists (it sounds like Runic Axe does the heavy lifting instead of Winging It), but he's also a whole 11 spots ahead of the next guardian (Lily, very similar stat lines) or 17 spots ahead of the next standard guardian (Zoey). I'm assuming you're skipping Prepared for the Worst (on Stick to the Plan) because you're able to reliably hit Randall/Bestow Resolve to find the axe reliably?
If I ever play four player again, I'll be excited to play Support Mark but I've never had any problem having Mark be main goon for a four-person group, nevermind three, with only Hallowed Mirror for healing.
I can confirm Mark and Vincent are best friends. My table is currently playing TIC with Mark as main fighter in 4 player. Vincent is working hard in the campaign, but Mark is almost cycling his deck every game.
With the new spoiler crowbar would it be worth importing runic axe down the road when you've got the xp and using a machete & crowbar combo in the first scenario so that you can still contribute on the flex clue front? 🤔
The deck's pretty limited on weapons to actually do the fight part of flex tbh, so cutting the level 0 runic axe is pretty rough. It's still roughly on par with like a .45 thompson at level 0 and quite good for fighting. I'm definitely interested in trying to make crowbar decks work, and god knows I'm going to look at it for Flex Mark down the line. For now though, I'm cautiously optimistic and waiting to see the rest of that package before I try to plan any decks with it.
It's always nice to start the day with another 10 minute explanation on why runic axe is the best. That is my morning coffee

Shell Shock was so mild I thought it was a basic weakness when I first got him.

@@Michael-qj2eq Yeah, Mark's just got silly draw. You don't even need Bestow to churn the spells in the mythos phase.

Versatile for bandages interesting? Probably not but curious what anyone thinks
Would Mark pair up well with Vincent?
