Raptors: 4 guys over 40 minutes, after coming off a 7 game series.
Bucks: Giannis team high 37. After having 6 days off.
Friday will be a quick turnaround for the Raptors, having to play another game on the road. Milwaukee will come into game 2 warmed up, unlike tonight.
That’s what happens when you have one of the best benches.

Fluffysaurus absolutely! You could clearly see that fatigue in the 4th quarter. The Raptors cannot maintain riding their starters 40+ minutes every game throughout a series against this fast-paced Bucks team
That’s the key right there, the pace. 42 minutes for Leonard against a slower paced team like philly and Orlando feels more like a full game of 48 against the bucks. 4 or 5 possessions can go by in one minute of game time
Better rebounding, make Danny Green purely a spot up shooter, manage Kawhi better. Winnable series for Toronto.

One Skill Point they didn’t, but Toronto didn’t either but also played great defense. Toronto just completely blew the 4th quarter away by giving extra possessions from rebounds and turning the ball over.

I think what he was saying is that the Bucks are the deeper team. The players as in the depth of talent on the teams. The Raptors can have a great attitude after this game but it doesn't matter if their bench can't score. So when Chuck says "the players dictate it" I believe he is trying to say the amount of talent each individual brings dictates it not just attitude.

This was my point in the Celtics series. Everyone focused on how bad the c’s were but it came down to who had more scoring options. The bucks others are GREAT not just good. If Giannis gets it going with them that team is incredibly hard to stop. Too many offensive weapons.
I’d love to see Bucks vs Blazers in the Finals. Blazers probably won’t make it but the bucks have a good shot.

So Shaq, now you are agreeing with what Kenny said ( Phil vs Toronto), in that when superstars do not play well, their teammates have to step up. Charles said Milwaukee has the better bench players, and that's because they have more opportunities to play, so of course, they will have more confidence playing. We can't say Toronto needs more confidence if the bench has little or no opportunity to play. I remember seeing Jeff Van Gundy replace all the starters on the Knicks team, including Patrick, with the bench players. This was brilliant because the bench won the game. Imagine how much confidence those players had from that point on!

I hate to be that guy, but as a Bucks fan, its gonna be a tough matchup for you guys. The Bucks honestly had a really bad game. Poor D, poor ball security, AWFUL 3pt shooting, the bench was absent. I hate to sound like Paul Pierce, but this looks like it's over. Toronto is too worn out from that Philly series.

@@videogamers2136 l would add it on what J S said. MIL got the W without controlling the pace, with 25% from the arc and many players in average stats. Raptors look tired and they're supposed to play day after day, hopefully Bucks will come through in less than 7
J S Yes the Bucks can shoot better but it’s partly because of lay-off and the Raptors played excellent defense till the 4th. This is a ROAD game for the Raps assuming this is their ceiling is incorrect. Their role players play better at home much like the Bucks. The Raps are lot better than the Celtics. This would be a home and home series till game 7.

Colin is spot on. New Orleans can set themselves up nicely here. first thing they need to do is sign Nikola Vucevic, A top 4 offensive center. Trade AD to the Lakers for Ball, Kuzma, 4th overall and a future 1. I would not trade to Boston as it would require to take on Marcus Smart's contract to make salaries work and to me he isn't a great fit. Next you trade rights to 1st pick to Knicks for Kevin Knox, 3rd pick, and 2 future picks. This leaves you with Starting 5 of Vucevic, Kuzma, Knox, Holiday, and Ball. With the 3rd and 4th pick this yr you pick up Darius Garland who is a combo guard like Lou Williams and can get RJ Barrett or DeAndre Hunter (I think Hunter will be the better fit and player long term) This leaves you with 4-5 future first round picks and a young team with legit shooters and with cap flexibility.
Best game of the playoffs for Lowry and they still lost Bucks in 6

Nope. Gasol and Green couldn’t hit the open shots was the reason. Lopez can just leave Gasol and stay in the paint. Not really Bucks length. Kawhi still had 31 pts. Kawhi have faced the same length with Embid/Simmons from 76ers and Gordon/Isaac/Vusevic and still scored great. Bucks role players step up and the Raptors couldn’t make their 3s in the 4th quarter. They were hitting their shots in the first half and ran out gas at the end

pankouk1 Exactly Kawhi scores 31 with poor shooting fg % much like Gianni’s on the other end scoring most of his second half points on free throws. why? Because the Raps are no slouch on defence either. Both Giannis and Kawhi have lower output because the TWO teams are excellent defensively. The Bucks advantage is this series is their depth. Raps bench is trash not only in this game but in the playoffs and has a ripple effect on other aspects of the game.
@@ethanm3838 Well the difference is that the Raptors were fouling Giannis intentionaly and sent him to the line, so he wouldn't score easy buckets. But I think Giannis had a better game than Kawhi last night, because he facilitated much better and created so many open looks for his teammates. As for the benches I'll agree with you.
pankouk1 I disagree that Gianni’s had a better game. The reason why it appeared to you it’s because the Bucks perimeter shooters especially Lopez made their shots while Gasol, Green and Siakam couldn’t make open shots when the ball is swung to them. Bucks defenders just wait in the paint as a result. Kawhi felt like he had to take over after playing the entire 3rd quarter.
