So glad the amount of cables for RGB fans is getting less and less, just two cables is amazing. Corsair early on was such a massive pain in the ass, 7 fans for 14 cables, not to mention multiple controllers which also needed power and LED strips. I just did a build with SWAFAN EX14 and EX12 ARGBs and once they're setup and working I absolutely love them. The big draw over these would be that the SWAFANs also come with a set of reverse fan blades as well. This was a huge for me. My only gripe is that they didn't design the magnetic connector with any sort of alignment pins or recess, etc. So they're a PITA to get working (especially if they're mounted in an area with tight space near the connector) and I've heard of a ton of people just flat out returning them thinking that they got non-working fans. Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 AIO (non-rgb) with one cable off the AIO pump and interconnected fans would be bloody awesome. I would also loooove to see slim interconnected fans as well as that's where it makes most sense as in small form factor builds space is at a premium. Less wire clutter means less restrictions for airflow.

I think the interlocking clips should be located outside instead of inside. Having it the way that it is have more risk than having a clip that you can just pop in/out on the edge of the fan. Also, if it's outside it'll be easier to replace if the interlocking clip is damaged at some point and it'll be easier to manufacture and sold separately as well w/ a lot of modding potential to boot since it can also be potentially 3D printed for custom color variations or even have an image or logo if you so desire. But either way this is a great start.

The RGB on those TEAM Group RAM sticks on the test bench went crazy. This has happened to me quite a few times. In fact, some time ago, this is how I burned the RGB of two MSI Z170 and one kit of the same RAM memory. It also happened to me on an Asus Z170 with G.Skill memory when the software was still Aura instead of Armory Crate, but then nothing burned.

Although the single cord connectivity is an attractive one, unless each fan has a dedicated ID chip, and a way to be detected individually, they will only be seen as one device with software like Razer Chroma. The Razer Chroma ARGB hub uses it's ports to determine the device, and LED count. This means You'll only get one effect through all 3 fans. I have my 3 front fans in 3 separate ports so I can do custom light schemes on each fan. It might be different on other, more expensive devices though.
Also keep in mind that only one Razer hub is currently recognized by the system unless they've finally fixed that. We've been waiting for years to have multiples of the same devices be recognized by Synapse 3, but the last time I checked they hadn't coded for it.

your note at the end to Be Quiet about NON-RGB fans, is really a thing i want, i prefer no RGB in my systems since i feel like they're just waste of electricity and i do have a Be Quiet CPU Cooler... air cooled and had NO complaint there... might be overkill though.

Oh yes, I definitely like the bequiet fans. The ARGB of the Light Wings are good and fit nicely on a radiator and the Silent Wings 4 are so quiet that I wondered if they were defec at 3000rpm (they are intact, they're just quiet)... But you have so many cables and the extra connection outputs (3 pices/cable on the light wings), it's no fun to hide the cables and connections or arrange them in such a way that the back panel doesn't pull out the ARGB plugs when you close it. Sure the focus is on the performance of the blades, motor etc., noise, but I would like to buy them with a daisy chain connection.

Also the ThermalTake TOUGHFAN EX14/EX12 Pro are also non RGB and come in both 140mm and 120mm respectfully...but I have only seen them in black.

Noctua needs to do this too back in the day fans were either really cheap and just terrible or they were Noctua and now RGB fans cost more than the high performance Noctua's which still outperform just about every fan out there in both acoustics and airflow. I for one don't see the point in spending money for RGB fans that will not cool as well as a similarly priced Noctua. But this new trend of daisy chain interconnects is amazing especially in a SFF build where you just simply don't have the space for any extra cables. Its the only thing thats had me consider anything aside from a noctua fan in over a decade which i still have some of the OG fans i bought back then in my PC right now.

PWM) fans do not adjust their speed by varying the voltage. Instead, they utilize a PWM signal, which rapidly switches the motor on and off to control the fan speed. This method provides precise control over the fan's performance while maintaining a constant voltage. Noise from some fans, it is likely due to a poorly designed PCB with inadequate noise suppression or filtering mechanisms.

BeQuite might be the one company that /shouldn't/ do this as their emphasis is the quietest possible PC experience. To really achieve this, you need to minimise the chance of resonance between fans by running all of them on very slightly different fan curves - hard to do if they're all chained together...

The main issue I have had with these types of fans is case compatibility. For example - my H6 Flow does not play nicely with alot of these connectors without needing to mangle them or trim them down which really stinks. The sides become too bulky and don't allow for the main connector for the wire to be there. On the H6 this is mostly present in the Titled font panel fans and the double 140mm fans at the bottom with the little lip holding them back.
Really love this direction of fans, though wish more cases would play nicely with them. I really like the look and use of the Thermaltake SWAFANs for their ability to change their direction but they sadly just did not work for me

Hi Jay, The connect ability of the fans me thinks could be improved if you had two rows creating a bank of 6 with just the two cables for the exhaust top set if using 120's I don't think there is a case that allows several in a single strip, I could forgive the orange bits if performance, low noise, ARGB (just thinking you could address each fan independently of each other so that each would have its own color scheme and the ability to connect a block of 6 fans like six dots on a dice was an option), maybe for one of the side panels a wall of bank of 120's extracting the heat would be better due to the shorter distance from the components (as long as it don't suck all your bits off the motherboard!!!) Also it would keep all the debris from building up inside your pc help to keep the dust of your components! Some case manufacturers have loads of fans but then seal/block the fans from increasing airflow with either a component, or panel made from metal, plastic or glass which defeats the object. I cant see the point of having a 360 rad with fans only to have it blocked by glass for example. Btw fyi the music generated by the fans was a bit quiet maybe they could be connected to a 7.1 surround system at full blast with a deep sub woofer maybe so we can all feel the vibe and get into the groovy video, thanks ;)
