- Author Douglas Murray says there was “almost no knowledge about the consequences” of puberty blockers but “so-called niceness” was used to do a very wicked thing.
The NHS has confirmed children will not be routinely prescribed puberty blockers at gender identity clinics.
A recently published NHS England policy document noted: “We have concluded that there is not enough evidence to support the safety or clinical effectiveness of (puberty blockers) to make the treatment routinely available at this time.”
“Whatever the causes are, we just have to look at the facts,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“One of the things I was startled by always was some of these procedures, some of these drugs were being administered when there was almost no knowledge about the consequences.
“There was so few studies, there was so little literature, so little information … yet our societies have fallen into this place where we sort of just done something I think will be looked at as very, very wrong.
“We did it out of kindness … but sometimes it requires a so-called niceness to do a very wicked thing, and I think that is likely to be the case in this whole area.”
While it’s excellent news, it should never have been allowed to happen in the first place.
It is all about the dollar. No care for humanity. Just follow the dollar . Always.
Plus it’s still allowed in Scotland and Wales. It’s all a sick experiment on innocent children.

A podcast guest said all this puberty blockers and gender surgeries were based on very flawed studies (hormone blockers was Netherlands) that had zero long term follow-up. In several cases the subjects unalived themselves later.
What they are doing to our kids should be a crime.

An Aussie I know who was busy transitioning her daughter at the time of the Kiera Bell ruling blasted around Facebook about how the UK was denying children healthcare. These trans adherents are unhinged. Her biological explanations for how people can be born in the wrong body is also extraordinary. And she is highly educated and apparently a reasonable person.
And sadly, because of what she has allowed, encouraged and support for her own daughter she will NEVER admit that she was wrong. How could you ever admit to helping ruin your own flesh and blood.
Funny and sad fact is that highly educated people can also be indoctrinated and even join sects..

Many, many years ago from being a young child whose only friends in the street were all boys, I played football, cricket, fought with them and I got a little bit older 9 /10 and I felt more boy than girl, I had my long hair cut off I wanted to be a boy, I wanted a sex change BUT when I went through puberty I actually liked my body and the young woman I was becoming. Now, in this day and age I feel I probably could have been put on these blockers, it would have totally ruined my life. Lots of children go through these feelings, some don't change their minds but I think if left alone most children come through this unharmed.
So true…I would have jumped at the chance to have my breasts removed…I didn’t like the attention, but two children later…what a mistake that would have been! I was 100% a tomboy until after puberty…so..these kids now, well it breaks my heart.

Australian doctors know. 20yrs ago my daughter entered puberty early, blockers were the absolute last resort. She had her had x-rayed every 3mth to check her growth plates weren't fusing. If the used them it would be for the shortest period possible. Thankful she was fine & grew to be a tall beautiful fertile woman.
I got my m-cycle at 10 1/2 years old. I was a c cup. I turned out beautifully. Thank God it wasn't today. Who knows what kind of garbage would have been told to my mom.

The exact opposite is true. "Kids" (Teenagers) who don't receive this treatment are higher risk of suicide, up to 40% more likely. If you really cared about kids, you'd give them access to the treatment they need.

Good job missing the point. The subject is too complex for most people to even have a justifiable opinion on which ethic is correct. Adults can take hormone therapy, and it works. Children should not be blocking their puberty before even going through puberty. They don't have full brain capacity at the age of 9-11 and actually do not know who they are. Endocrine disruptors are most likely the main contributing factors for the rise in gender dysphoria. It is a medical condition, not a metaphysical phenomenon. Every person who has the condition needs an MRI in order to verify that they actually have the condition and, in some cases, a mental disorder. Empathy would be reducing environmental pollution, not mutilating someone's full-functioning, healthy body. You don't know anything about gender dysphoria, just like 99% of typical plebs.

As someone who used similar products (for medical reasons), I shudder at the idea of this needing to be debated. Puberty blockers cause weight gain, among other symptoms. There is no reason to use them unless nessecary!

Mr. Murray, there is another aspect to transgender transitioning you did not mention. There are many people making a tremendous amount of money promoting these medical treatments. Pharmaceutical companies , hospitals and doctors have an obvious bias that facilitates their financial gain.
