I'm so impressed with how far iclone has travelled on its journey since 2005, it's always been my favourite go to software for filmmaking, with a simple, intuitive UI. And there is so much to explore still. Im currently writing a science fiction thriller set in 2050, involving a research station at the end of a 600km elevator and setting about making this epic is going to be an exciting and fun journey. Originally, I wanted to be stop motion animator, but since I discovered Iclone back in the heady year of 2011, I haven't looked back. My apologies, I digress, sir, your tutorials are excellent and have enabled me to progress with my first project in 7. Please continue your awesome work.

Thanks for that. useful tips on hot keys etc. I found that what I needed explaining to me in making short movies was the emotional reasoning behind camera changes and movements which I got from the many video-making and cinematography tutorials on UA-cam.

People having issues should make sure they following tutorial exact. Also make sure the camera is not preview camera. Make sure in timeline the diff. Cam. Key frames are at diff. Points on timeline and not overlapping each other. Also, make sure you got the object u wanna track is selected
2 things that need to be added in iclone8. Note...if these features currently exsist...ive not been able to find and use them. Let me know how if possible. 1. A scrub wheel for the timeline. 2. Camera pan and tilt in place...rather than orbiting.
If you can't see anything happen after keyframing the cameras, you need to be in 'Switch' mode on the dropdown above the viewport in order to see the change.
Just completed this Lesson. Great work. I could not get the character to load in that alley. It kept going into a room so I used just the plain to complete the course. How did they insert the Rat character into the scene and only to appear at that time? Thanks, I am on my way. So much to learn. I used the tutorials below on the page but those are for iClone 5.

I purchased and downloaded the Rat's Alley Prop. I loaded the prop using the Import function. Where can I find the Actors in the scene. I have to start from the beginning (I.e getting the Actors to walk). Can you point me to entry level video courses? Thanks.

xxxdannyxxx Yes you can import your characters, props and animations into Carrara as well, however keep in mind that you will need 3DXchange 6 Pipeline to do so.
